- The last game in the series to bear the FIFA name is a fittingly unambitious entry. It makes minor changes here and there, but there's not an awful lot to differentiate it from last year's offerings.
Thankfully, the on-pitch action is still a hell of a lot of fun.

In my opinion the biggest difference was between fifa 20 and 19. Because the name changed by 2 numbers and not just 1

I'm glad more devs are now gonna get a chance to build a better experience. Now if we could somehow do that with Madden NFL!

I FINALLY learned my lesson last year and passed on it and the game popped up on PS+. I'm going to do the same thing again this year.

@@thebhoy8561 I don't have EA Play and I'm not about to get it just to play FIFA as, apparently, all of the reviews that I'm seeing are just saying that it's average. I'll just wait to see if pops up on PS+ again in a few months or if not, I'll be sitting here thinking about it again next year.

im playing on PS4..i started world cup tournament, now i cant load my other saved tournaments (premier league & MLS). its as though they just dissapeared.
It’s been years that I’ve been hopping for a fresh fifa. A fresh career mode. A fresh approach to manager mode… and what do we get?! The same thing man!!! @@davidgrable668 So I got it on PC but because EA is horrible the game did not launch at all, something with the anticheat tried everything online nothing worked. So for PC I do not recommend. I bought it off of steam.

not interested at all, but what am interested/curious in is, I heard fifa the league was gonna charge EA 1 billion to use their IP for the new few games licensing... seemed like they were even greedier than the greediest.. & seeing a 23 release, I suppose they went with it? or maybe made a deal paying less than that.

Well i can atleast say they actually improved crowds. Like they actually go crazy and are super loud when you score. Also its dead silent when you score away. Thats about all i see they improved fr fr. The gameplay is a lot slower and you cant turn so fast no more. But tbh i kinda like it and want to play it more to get use to it. But definitely is not perfect until they figure out the ball physics. Player career is improved i guess but is really a copy and paste from NHL series with the allowance money being used to "buy" stuff. Other than that same game different number. And who the heck knows what they going to do with EA FC. Hopefully FIFA gets 2k to do their games and they treat it like they do NBA 2k and hopefully not how they done the golf games.

in my personal opinion, although that 7/10 rating might be provocative, keep in mind this is not a number that reflects how mad we are at EA, but a number that reflects how fun the game is overall, and I bet all of you still play FIFA every year because despite all the hurendous frustrating moves by EA, FIFA itself is a fun game to play, factor this in, and you get your 7

Every game is repetitive not just fifa!
This game is much better then the previous years fifa. The AI although not great it’s light years better then 22. Headers and crosses are back and the loose balls are more realistic. Defending is much better, they still stand around but compared to 22 the ai defenders are actually doing something instead of just standing there. Probably the biggest difference. The new power shot is nasty and a nice addition. It’s overall a better game..
I got this on sale and I'm really enjoying it. I don't get the hate tbh

The hate is that they’re are very minor updates to these games every year, but yet they still charge us ridiculously expensive prices for them!

I just jumped from fifa 21 div1 winner on seasons. Complete shock of how bad the gameplay is on fifa 23. The control of the ball, the through balls are slow shit passes to no one, taking ages to shoot, very slow gameplay. I enjoyed fifa 21 lot more as its lot faster and enjoyable.
By the way, they make billions on this game and still stuck with same commentators.
I enjoyed fifa 16 and fifa 19 the rest are bad specially the music soundtrack on 17 and 20 .
No CM improvements? Stick with 22 fifer and eep patch for this season. Sooner EA loses his license monopoly the better.

The one thing I disagree with is that the new title name is bad. At first I thought it sounded awful “ea sports fc” lol come on. Than I realized it will probably just be marketed as FC and actually EA won on that front. Still won’t get it because how big of a let down they gave me on this years career mode though. Can’t trust them until it comes out and people say career mode is really good. ULTIMATE TEAM SUX.
The best Fifa to play now is 20. Fuck 23. 22 is not bad but 20 is so great with the flow of gameplay OMG...

ugh the game is like a high speed game of pinball, I have used a number of sliders to improve realism in career mode (i don't care for all the other crap FIFA has turned into) its made the game better but damn what is wrong with FIFA games, i just lost 3-0 with the CPU having 22 shots at goal... 22 wtf, have EA actually watched a game of football before making this!
yeah,i still play fifa 19 sometimes the defense was better,harder to create chances and you can actually enjoy when scoring a goal

If you're planning on wasting your money on this fifa like i did, cant stress this enough....PURCHASE THIS GAME ON A CONSOLE. PC is a whole shit show, been getting kicked off of ea servers every match and that anti-cheat doesn't work just simply crashes the game or doesn't wanna load up. Please save yourself the time lol
Totally agree, I thought I was the only one facing this kind of issue. FIFA on PC is just terrible, there are so many bugs in game and you get disconnected very often…
For me, fifa cant change anything much because they only got 1 year to develop that game. Lets compare to other AAA games that take 3/4 years to produce 1 game. So make sense why their game dont make so much changes.
Yeah it taks 3-4 years to make a game from scratch, but FIFA has been in a finished state for years - so they now have a full year, every year to add additional features but just don't.
They dont need to do anything from scrath and they already know what to get better, what they cant, etc. Also it has been made by same company for decades. I think they know everything about the the engine and how to upgrade the engine or fix it.
Do they have Indians in this game? I remember being offered the Indian national team in 21 and having no ability to scout the country or raise youth players lol

Commentators haven’t changed they the same as fifa22 that’s the biggest reason I chose not to get fifa23 that was a massive red flag for me! EA lazy af lost trust in EA for that alone, I was like fuck that I’m out so I got Jurassic world evolution 2 instead. 👍🏼

I have played many fifa and i can say without Doubt this is the best football game ever created.
I have seen people commenting something like it is same as of fifa 22 . it's not true at all . I think they haven't played fifa 23 . You will get idea when you actually play it on your pc . it's entirely different for me . Also new experience. Close to reality.

You should have played it . For testing purpose you can take 1 month xbox game pass for 1$ and then you can use ea play , there you will get 10hr trial fifa 23 .

minor improvements approach is a scam because the game is sold for 100 bucks...the newest version doesn't even have a world cup mode and a whopping 3 more national teams, the ratings and faces for players are the same (plyers that are famous now still dont have their own faces) and the gameplay is fucked, you'll lose constantly to Australia then smoke England 4-0

I personally enjoyed Fifa 23 a lot so far especially the graphical improvements(Hairworks) even the minor improvements in gameplay made it more realistic.(PC player)

This is the Worse fifa ever! Been playing since fifa 96. It use to be fun enjoy playing and actually have fun! This one.. My god! The switching players, terrible! I do what the computer thinking because it will make loose a game. Its not a game anymore. Its so structured! Could go on and on.
