    My daughter had a share of the job hunt experience. For instance, she applied for the NNPC job, passed the test, attended the interview at Abuja Towers and was very hopeful that she would get the job. All done without any influence or connection. Eventually, haven waited endlessly, on enquiry we got to know from very reliable sources that the lists from different corridors of power was overwhelming, and considering the number of opening, very few candidates could actually make it without 'connection'. Imagine the most of having to fly to Abuja, the GMAT practice / studying, while working in an insurance company as a contract

    Tobi, you asked what is stopping me Fr chasing my relocation dream? I have long desired to live, work and settle in Calgary or anywhere else in Alberta. I recently received a visitor’s visa to Canada but because I don’t have any relatives or friend anywhere in Canada, I have to hold back. I am planning on how to navigate LMIA job search and accommodation issues when I come. I understand that rent is high over there and landlords don’t usually rent out their properties to visitors without jobs. Please advise.

    • @erinletobi
      @erinletobi  Год назад +1

      Yes, what you’ve heard is true, however don’t let it deter you. My advice is to plan adequately, do a proper research, talk to an agent of you know a reputable one. You’ll stand a better chance of getting an accommodation if you have the right to work and make money, unlike if you just have a visitors visa. What you don’t want to do is to move without proper preparation and a plan B. I’m wishing you all the best 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

For the new immigration scheme in Alberta, I don’t have information on it but it makes sense and it’s possible because smaller cities want people to come in to help grow their economy and set up businesses. If you were a permanent resident, you’ll easily apply for a loan and then work to pay back later.
      For international students, they expect that you have the money. I’d advise you try to get the money, if what you’re coming to study is good and relevant, you should be able to get a job to pay back your family who helped you raise the funds

    Thanks for this video sir, i really appreciate this ❤ I've been feeling reluctant about coming to canada to study due to lack of funds 😢and having no one to stay with over there, but this video really inspires and gives me the energy i needed to continue my japa process and take it more serious, canada has been the number 1 country in my mind to further my studies.
    Pls I'd really love to have your whatsapp contact sir or mail 🙏 I'd love to make some enquiries from you sir.
