This was such a bad comparison, Minecraft is a sandbox game. The story was never important, Notch made the enderman as a meme. Then players wanted to try to figure out some non-existent lore and mojang just never denied their claims.
I appreciate the response. This video is definitely more of an analysis of current Minecraft, cause I agree with you that Notch specifically did not have much of a story in mind. But I truly do believe in my analogy when it comes to stuff like Illagers, endermen, the deep dark, etc.
*I think developers should focus more on scenario instead of putting together a long boring story that's usually terribly structured 👎 Far Cry 5, Forgotten City, Outer Wilds, Hitman are all great games that put you in a scenario and just let you work at your own pace, no story necessary* 👌
