He got a messed up figure for this review so this review is misleading. The actual one is not like this and it is actually one of the best looking ones Marvel Legends has released. This didn’t do the figurine any justice! I am glad I didn’t hesitate and pre ordered it at the time, otherwise I would be sad having missed on this figurine based on this bad review and preview!
I dunno if the lips are a common problem, but I got the last one at my local Target and the paint is perfect. The legs are a massive improvement over the classic Moonstone ones, too.
I had the original when I bought the whole wave on release years ago. I sold my whole collection, coming back to it lately I can’t believe how expensive X-Men characters have gotten.
I just got mine today and the figurine looks beautiful and nothing like this messed up lipstick one!! The previews and this review doesn’t do it justice!
For both Gambit and Rogue, I feel like I like the colors on the older figures are better, and I like the old faces better. But I like the new hair better for both. I think I'll try a hairswap, putting the new hair pieces on the old faces and bodies.
Glad this was released again. I was taking pictures of my x-men figures and my wife knocked over Rogue and her foot snapped off at the peg. Stoked I can put the older head on the new one. Definitely like the new head better and happy to have just that , but my broken rogue figure bothers the F out of me and I’m just glad I can pop that version 1 on the new bod!!
By the way, I have both Rogue figures and I love them both for different reasons. BAF has that awesome metallic green and mustard yellow and the retro has that great hair! Both are winners !
It looks like the way they sculpted her lips she’s supposed to be giving a slight smirk however the way they painted the lips on gives off an angry face hopefully the rest are corrected.
Yes please, without the jacket and in retro packaging and with an optic blast effect with a screaming head! “Jean!” Or “Aah!” This one is still golden though: “Woah! Wait a minute, something’s wrong! Woah! Gambit!”
Love the new hair sculpt. I was super disappointed that the previous classic Rogue had the bulk of hair pushed to one side but it was also not blowing in the wind? It just seemed to be lopsided for the sake of it. I didn't really get it, but the asymmetry mostly bugged me.
The face on this figure is really rough. The only reason I won’t say it’s terrible is because I looked into the abyss that is the toybiz rogue and it still haunts me to this day.
Went to a target yesterday that was out of my city and I checked online before going, said they had available stock. When I was in the store I didn't see any rouges on the pegs, just typical gamerverse figs and some mystiques. I started to panic when I checked the end cap, low and behold they had 5 of them. So happy.
I think this one is nicer than the juggernaut wave one. It has more realistic expression. I believe one with better paint apps will display the expression better. I love her big red pouty lips. And to me, she looks more like the 90s fox kids series Rogue. She did have a lot of serious moments. I also own the juggernaut wave one but still want this new one.
So far all previews had shown this awful lipstick mess on this figure, which makes me think that they might be releasing her like this! Let’s hope some of them from Hasbro pay attention to fans calling them out on this awful lipstick issue. It’s bad enough they won’t be doing pre orders for this and expect fans and collectors to go into a store during a pandemic when they could so easily have made this available for orders by mail online!

The Storm/Warpath set is stocked really well in Targets here in Texas. I’ve not had trouble obtaining Target exclusives when it comes to Hasbro items . I love my Juggernaut Rogue compared to this one , but still snagging this southern belle to add to my fox animated series cast. Now I just need Jean in brighter colors , sweet poet beast and Xavier in in his green army type outfit and I’m golden!!
Honestly, I like the NEW hair but I like the old face sculpt better. But I love the accessories that come with the new rouge. I think I’m going to pick up the new one.
Little update. No rogue yet but I found not 1 but THREE white retro storms at target! I bought 1 and left the other 2 for the next collector. So odd almost 2 years later this fig just pops up on the pegs like OH HAI BEEN WAITING 4 U.
You're right, the headsculp looks better than the promotional images. I have the last version and I almost like the new face sculpt with the bigger hair better. I'll make a decision if I ever see it at Target but not paying scalper pricing and I'd suggest others to not do that either or you raise the prices for everyone else.
So I was lucky enough to order a store pick-up at a Target close to my job. They were all sold out when I went to pickup- so glad I purchased it early in the AM. That said, the face sculpt looks super nice. Looks like the one you’re displaying had crappy QC because the lipstick is perfectly fine on my head sculpt. I have the original Rogue and still not sure which one I like better- both look great. I’m happy to say I paid $26 for the original Rogue and got a deal for $20 on this new one.

Since I missed out on Juggernaut Rogue. This is a must for me. Although I might be swapping the head sculpt with the Rogue from the Pyro 2 pack. Hopefully I can find it, my area is very collector & scalper heavy.
I attempted to make my own Juggernaut wave Rogue by using the head that came with mystique, repainting it, then trying to use a dazzler body. Let's just say it didn't work out so well, probably because I didn't use the Moon Star body. But I am so glad I got this one today

Scalpers tried to get the Storm at 90+ and that's just failed miserably due to the sheer abundance in stores/restocking. If they fix the lips it may go up a bit in my book, but as is, the scowling expression doesn't work for me, even though the face overall looks nicer. Especially since it's an exclusive, I expect it to be worth hunting for.

I think Rogue will be hard to get because so many people don't have her and she goes for a lot on the secondary market. Gambit shouldn't be hard since he came out last year and he's still affordable on the secondary market. I already have plenty of the Juggernaut wave Rogue so I won't go out of my way to get her but if I'm in Target and she's there then I'll get her.

The old one is way better. Specially on the metallic end paint app. Anyone who says the new one is better is just bitter over not having the Juggernaut one.
You are using anyone very loosely I have no problems with the old one but still I think the new one is a bit better in terms of just having it I like the vibrant yellow. The metallic is also good but just because of that does not mean it is better than the new one.
😕 Overall, I prefer the Juggernaut Wave Rogue over the Target Exclusive Retro Wave Rogue... But, this new marvel legends figure of rogue isn't all that bad. So I'll be getting myself one ☝

@Doc Holiday That sucks. My local Target had Rouge, Gambit, and Storm all kind of hidden in an odd place, not the usual marvel section. Nobody bought them, and they all ended up on clearance for $13. This new face sculpt looks like just a modified version of the original. I hope the lip app is corrected on other copies. Although they corrected the paint deco on the collar I feel the paint deco on the chest of the original was better. So I don’t get why they had to change that. Also Hasbro could have given us an alternate head with an open mouth and wind blown hair. I think it was a missed opportunity.
