I would be ashamed and embarrassed to be Maya's parents. A serial cheater, homewreacker, no job ever, and a thief. She is a real prize.

How would somebody who had no relationship to the 2 people that passed away would deserve any of the money left behind for their son and daughter in law... Please make it makes sense

Her parents tears should bring joy to her heart. I hate pushovers

Don't play part-time comfort blanket for your parents at their demand. It is already playing with your childrens' heads.

Why would those awful parents think that they, or their daughter, had any rights whatsoever to her husband's inheritance? That is just ridiculous! Why didn't her husband come out and tell them to get lost? They have no rights to HIS inheritance.

I am not surprised that the "golden child" abandoned the parents and cut off all contact. I said on many threads that in cases of extreme and unfair favoritism neither child is actually loved. Maybe on some level she sensed that.

Part one of Story: Parents ask me for half of my in-laws inheritance. My husband comes over and tells them it's not mine to give away, it's his parents left for his kids then they can F-Off it has nothing to do with my family, period. The end.

The only question i have for OP is why were you in contact with your parents? Were you so desperate to be their fallback child? You should have been the going no contact long before the golden one could play her games. No sympathy for you. You should have blocked them completely the instant they asked for your husbands' money. (its not yours) Obviously, OP has no idea what "cut off" and "no contact" means because she keeps answering their calls and opening the door for them. You are getting what you deserve, and I doubt the parents have actually done anything bad enough for a restraining order.

Those parents really need to meet me! When I was finished, they would never bother OP again, for fear of her getting that angry, black gay guy after them. Daddie boi would think he was a toddler in diapers, when I was finished, mommie witch would be flooding the entire Mississippi valley when I was done with her. Why put up with this crap. even if they are your parents.

It's called trauma bonding. Something victims of narcissistic abuse struggle the most with. I think it's similar to Stockholm syndrome.

OP parents need to wake up, they keep enabling OP sister, she needs tough love they need to put their foot down and say no more. And if they can’t do that, they only have them selves to blame.

If Maya was their perfect girl, why did they even bother to have more kids? Just one would have been good enough for them. Instead they had OP and then treated her like crap all the time.

Apart from OP not sticking to her own resolve, I feel real concern for her kids. Their grandparents are just awful, cutting them off just as much as OP when it suits them. I really do think that OP and her husband need to explain (simply) what's going on to them. Kids are smarter than you think and they need to know what their grandparents are doing. At least, when they are older, than can make their own informed decisions or I can only seeing this problem becoming worse.

At least let your kids have a relationship with them, and this time you tell him this is the one chance you get if my sister comes back into the picture and you guys just dumped me I’m officially done with you, but for the sake of my kids, I will give you another try.

No possible way I would let my children have a relationship with grandparents who can treat them so abominably! And that was BEFORE the mother's comments about "wasting" the money on education for them, and not knowing how to turn a boot upside down if there were instructions on the heel of it! As their mother, it's her job to PROTECT her children from harm! Cutting those children off because their mother made a decision you disliked, & speaking so terribly about them are NOT the actions of loving grandparents! They & their home-wrecking mooching thieving golden child can all take a long walk off a short pier! Innocent children don't need to be exposed to their horrific actions & opinions!
