at 5:42, I don't think it is irony that the tribunal uses the visage of Nerovar for their most trusted guards. Nerovar is a hero, this is a symbol the tribunal can use to move the heart of their people. If we look in RL history, very often ideologues and oligarchs will use the persona of people who have done great deeds (even people that they have betrayed) as a symbol to advance their political agenda.
This religous zeal, the Dunmer represent does not end, when their gods fall. With the Dunmer it is even better as one returned and took over, they already revered and praised as champion of the Dunmer, to purge their culture from sin and lies. The transition is rather small. Also he is supported by the Tribes and, we tend to forget this, at some point even by Vivec himself. - The moment Vivec acknowledged the Nerevarine as what he is, I have no doubt many Priests and Ordinators fell into some kind of religous 'panic' and switched sides. Especially for those Ordinators around Vivec himself the transition would have been 'kind of' easy, simply due to Vivecs acknowledgement of the Nerevarine. And in the wider sense, I think this would have spread throughout many regions of Morrowind, though it would have been hard and even impossible for others, like the High Ordinators who were without second thought absolutely devoted to Almalexia herself. We actually know that they don't even thought for one second that Almalexia could even be killed, and that she simply left for some higher purpose and will return if she is ready to return. We have one exception of a High Ordinator going completely mad. And that's with the High Ordinators, I think, they either stubbornly defended Almalexia to the(ir) end, or went absolutely mad. But we may have heard from a a group of extremely experienced and more than well trained warriors in ridiculously high quality enchanted armors going full rage on Mournhold. In the end it is more likely they committed suicide the moment they acknowledged the truth. - So yes, I do think there are a lot of Ordinators still around. And they will protect the 'new' Temple with the same zeal as they have done with the Tribunal. Anyone who'll doubt the Nerevarine to be true, will face the same fanatic warriors. And it is likely that the Nerevarine was accompanied by an entourage of followers including Ordinators willing to protect him at any cost. - As Morrowind Veteran, I really wish for the Nerevarines return at some point in some game. I really, really want to return to Morrowind to continue the Story of Morrowind. They even can copy the civil war story from Skyrim if they wish, just as 'taking back the land from the Argonians', way. But I don't want to play as Nerevarine again. Though this would cause the slight problem, that then there would be an official canon Nerevarine in terms fo gender and race. But for me, that's actually a small price to pay. I don't really have problems with my characters not being canon (obviously).
I mean honestly I think the Neravarine would be an easier player character to canonize compared to the others. He is the reincarnation of a character who has been depicted before so they could just make him look very similar to that.
I think the reason why the Ordinator wear Nerevar’s face is partly some form of mantling - if you tell it enough times a certain way and people believe it then it’s real. - and part poetic irony that the Tribunal seems to love.

So much so his name Nerevar is my car license plate. 😁
I would really like to see the next ES game explore a bit about how Morrowind and the Dunmer have coped with the fall of the Tribunal. It's never really explored at all in Oblivion or Skyrim.
Morrowind 😌 a game that doesn't hold your hand like Oblivion and Skyrim does! 😕 I ❤ all three games but when it comes down to where to go and what to do 🙂 Morrowind wins 👍🤗
I knew I liked the helmet for a reason. Apart from being an amazing combination of a gold mask and a corinthian helmet. And the Ordinators being the elite of the Dunmer suggests that they rather not use iron or steel as their armour appears to be made of bone, brass, bronze and hardened leather.

At First sry for my English I Wasnt at school for 6 months and im from germany Ive started a new Char in skyrim and i had a Quite funny idea for a new build: the gorgon The gorgon is a female argonian and very interested in the magic school of alteration together with her husband they Tried To change the ash Shell spell that the Mage who aktivates it gets unkillable for a short Duration the only difference is that the Mage Can still move. While she was still practicing and Upgrading the spell her husband thought the ashe shell spell was finished and he Wanted to try ist at himself. Long Story Short the man was Turned into a statue. The Other villagers Said that she was the one who turned him into Stone so they gave her the nickname the gorgon (like Medusa) than she was arrested But she could escape because she turned all the guards for a Short duration into Stone too. The gorgon Worked day and Night with restauration spells alchemie and alteration(her 3 Main Skills) to Turn her man back into flesh but she had to Fleet from her village and her husbands statue destiny was confirmed for Ever Now. The gorgons Main Skills Are as i das restauration alteration and Alchemie she Loves to paralyze her enemies and After that she Kills em with her daggers(2 ebony daggers Maybe with a paralyze enchantment too) After she leveled her Skills she uses the snake Stone( for obvious reasons XD) i tried this already once and i can say its quite Funny if one of u Here in the comments Wants to try it Sry if a similar Build already exists im net to this channel
Very cool custom build, and I like the backstory. I do the same thing with my characters, I make really in-depth back stories for and role-play how the character would act throughout the course of the game And learning skills they would find interesting or helpful. By the way your English is quite good, so don’t be too hard on yourself. One thing about English speakers, at least American English speakers, is that we don’t judge foreigners who are trying to learn I wish as a second language. We only really get on the people you’re born here and butcher the language when they should know better. And the cool thing about English is that since it’s not tonal it’s easy to get ideas across as long as you get the general words out; even misspellings are easy to understand. There are a lot of strange rules though, and even as an amateur writer who went to school for English I’m still learning a lot and make mistakes all the time. I don’t know much about German but I do know a lot of English has much inspiration from German words and history. English is sort of a mix of the romance languages, Germanic, Latin, and other Anglo Saxon systems. It’s a fun language though so don’t give up on it. It has the most words of any language in the world so it’s possible to very specifically express ideas and explain complex concepts. Something you can’t do in other Languages as well it’s make up words for humor; part of English joking and humor is making up fun and nonsensical words, therefore there are tons of puns and idioms floating around out there. I live in Thailand and I’ve been learning the Thai language for a while now and it’s very difficult and strange to me. Many ideas just don’t get across the same way or at all when compared to English.
I have an idea for a roleplay/build. The character's name is Loki/Lopt (Lopt is another name for Loki in mythology), he is the son of Mephala or Boethia, you choose (we already know Daedric Gods can have children). He uses mostly illusion magic, light armor, stealth and daggers. He is very eloquent, and he is a trickster. He doesn't care of people's feelings or needs, he only cares about his wellbeing. He's not evil but everything he does is for the sake of having fun or to earn money. (The character's race could be Nord, Breton, Imperial)
Come to think about it: The Ordinators put so much effort just on putting on their armor. Think about how this would be, if you're an Ordinator, just gotten on your armor for the first time, you're kind of proud of yourself, because you have showed respect, loyalty and honor and that you believe in the Tribunal... And then a random always-jumping guy walks up to you, insults you, you attack him and he outright one-shots you, steals your clothes, your armor and possibly also your personal belongings, if you happen to carry some with you. And after that, this strange individual continues to do the same to other fellow Ordinators, praciticing mass murder. I would be pissed as an Ordinator, if i would see someone, who is like this individual, but wearing Ordinator armor... OOOOOHHHH so that's the reason they always attacked me, after i took and wore Salas Valor's armor all the time! Whoops.
Well done, certainly gives a different perspective when I play Elder Scrolls. What about the Buoyant armigers? Love to see a video on that. Farmed first their Motif in eso, but I’d be curious to learn more on them.
I really want to beat this game after what... 16yrs? I've had it and never beaten it. It actually scared me as a kid. But I have it on steam now but I cant get past not using a controller.
Ah the wonderful memories of when I found the armour on a dead Ordinator, wore it and just innocently strutted around Vivec. First Ordinator I saw killed me. Good times.
So... the ritual for putting on the armor never said you ever had to take it off. So if you don't want to go through all that hassle, just keep the armor on for as long as possible.
16:35 naw, not so fast, Vivek is alive until proven otherwise 🤔 He's just like a roach, never dies, always living. Even a nuclear apocalypse won't get him. I love my dear Dunmer people and hate the Tribunal 👹 but I'm sure we're gonna meet Vivek the Survivalist later in TES games. Oh, can't wait for it. We have a lot to discuss. PS. Love that you include ESO shots in your videos!
Ah Ordinators or loot bags. Always started a play through by cheesing a kill from a roof in Vivec and selling the gear to the scamp in Caldera to power level.............weird how I remember town names from a game I haven't played in a decade but can't remember my wife's birthday.
There's multiple neural triggers set while playing a video game, even more so one you enjoy. A date of birth, even a significant others, likely has fewer options to engage the memory reflex in our subconsciouses. So there's less likelyhood of a random event spurring a reminder. It's not your fault if you can't control it. So yeah, use that excuse if you know she can't point to those multiple really awesome birthday parties she's had across all these years you've been together. Then even rationalizing won't save you.
I'd say that until Dagoth Ur barred access to the heart, the Tribunal were basically 100% gods and not just powerful demigods. Even all the way to the events of Morrowind, all three were probably more powerful than 99% of beings in Tamriel. Only legendary heroes could probably defeat them at this point.
Even if Almalaxia did acknowledge her role in Neravars death maybe this was a form a punishment for herself. For all of the even. They choose in their eyes the lesser of two evils but it was still an evil so they punish themselves for it.
I have only played Skyrim, but videos about the Dunmer and the Chimer really makes me want to play Morrowind. I wish they would love to play Elder Scrolls 3, 4, and 5 with the same graphics as God of War 4. But I want to play the originaæ versions first.
The dark elves all their armor has masks I love it even the daedric armor from Morrowind my favorite mask is the face of God and the face of terror I feel dark elves have face masks because by nature they are decisive I mean alot of house missions have to do with sabotage or helping someone climb in ranks
You should do an Ordinator modded Skyrim build. You could take it as either a follower of the old Tribunal or one that has embraced the reinstated daedric Tribunal
I wish you could wear the armor once you were named Nerevarine without a mod. The Tribunal Ordinator armour is the coolest looking armour in all Elder Scrolls games.
Possible question for a video. But you may have already answered but I'm new viewer working my way through yalls catalog. My question is " how does becoming a vampire or werewolf not affect you being a DragonBorn, because doesn't it affect your bloodline and blood when you become one of those. And its the dragon blood that makes you DragonBorn"
Since the rise of the New Temple and the Reclamations, it would be interesting to see the armors the Ordinators would use, including the color schemes, and the higher levels such as the Hands of Azura, Hands of Boethia, and Hands of Mephala... Skyrim point: The Temple at Raven Rock should have several Ordinator guards posted within and without as fitting of their calling.... hint hint.
Fudge muppet should endorse a mod that is a library/school and inside are the endless volumes of every known book or lore in elder scrolls existence but also contain gods, one for each member of fudge muppet all voiced by them with just dialogue of them explaining lore..
So, the Thalimor want to erase the worship of Talos as the act of devotion gives power and can create a god. So shouldn't ALMSIVI have no longer needed the Heart to be deities? The majority of Dunmer worship the Tribunal, after all. Aside from "Because Bethesda said so", of course.
Talos' divinity is different from ALMSIVI, there's a lot more debate on who Talos was and how he became divine but it wasn't related to the heart of Lorkan. ALMSIVI's source of power is pretty much confirmed

The footage here is insanely beautiful
I really appreciate your dedication to the elder scrolls lore.
I think the reason why the Ordinator wear Nerevar’s face is partly some form of mantling - if you tell it enough times a certain way and people believe it then it’s real. - and part poetic irony that the Tribunal seems to love.
Ah the cursed letters in the title. A plunge into the depth of fudgemuppet. I have no idea what this video is gonna be about yet here I am. And I am ready
I may be an avid collector of the old games in original boxes and whatnot but I'm learning more and more about the lore everyday. I thank this channel as well as the other lore head channels for keeping me not only entertained but informed. The Elder Scrolls is LIFE.
I'd also like to add that I absolutely adore Indoril Nerevar. So much so his name Nerevar is my car license plate. 😁
This is the best thing to wake up to.
The ordinators don't make me feel safe, at all. Instead they intimidate me. They look like they could cut me down in seconds if it ever came to that.
And I thought it took my wife a long time to get ready
In our houshold it is my father needing the most time, even if he just goes out to by the paper . . .
If you ask Arena and Daggerfall fans they will call Morrowind a step back because of what it takes out from the game.
My favorite "faction" since I heard "We are watching you, scum" long ago, in Elder scrolls Morrowind.
3 vidoes from Fugemuppet in 3 days. Last time you uploaded this frequently was last summer so this is very appreciated.
Tribunal Morrowind: prosperity
Me: "Hmm, kind of makes Azura look like the bad guy for wanting to upend all that-"
Also Tribunal Morrowind: thought police, indoctrination, etc.
Me: "...Welp. Nevermind."
Last time I was this early Lokir was still in rorikstead
"You're not gonna kill me!"
“Archers!” *Lokir gets aimbotted “Anyone else feel like running?”
I enjoyed the podcast yesterday. Didn’t catch it live since I was asleep. Damn you Akatosh!
lol didn't even realize this video was only just uploaded, thought it was like two months old
Everything before the "?" is just a bunch of x-ed boxes for me, sorry
I guess my mobile doesn't like whatever font you used
It says "do you know the meaning of the mask"
@@andrestorres8000 thank you very much for the...I suppose "translation" is still the appropriate term
Any android beyond version 7.1 should sort you out. For me, it was the issue of the OS.
@@ZeroSeriesMMX it's because fonts typically don't cover all unicode characters . Unfortunately fonts are more locked down on android then they probably should be. I have had some experience before getting coverage of more unicode characters when downloading other languages, i.e. Japanese.
Hm. Neat. The masks in particular are very reminiscent of the Eldar Aspect Warriors from Warhammer 40k. Good stuff as usual.👍
Your descriptions and choice of words make your videos exceedingly exquisite quality
I think it is possible that the Dunmer could become more like the chimer of old over time. I also did not realize how much the ordinators were like the drow inquisitors of Lolth from d and d. Thanks for the great video!😊
"...and then I said 'no', like a liar" - Vivec
Wow, this is the gist time I’ve been so early to a video no one could finish it yet, that’s cool.
No wonder these guys are so pissed considering how much time it takes them to get dressed in the morning .
I watch your videos while I paint mini figs. Really good for getting into the mood haha
Dunmer culture and practice, in my opinion, is the most fascinating in the Elderscrolls universe
"Do you understand?" I can't even read the first part of the title
It's a jojo reference
@@thedeadsexyedge what does it say? It's one of those fonts my phone won't display.
@@vermillion6159 "do you know the meaning of the mask" 👍
My favorite part of the title is the fact that they misspelled symbolism
That explains why they slaughter you on sight for wearing the Indoril armour, not only is it the face of one of their founding saints, there’s not a chance in hell you put that thing on correctly.
Makes me happy to see you keeping the spirit of TES alive fudgemuppet.
Shift is over before the boots are put on. Try again tomorrow.
At First sry for my English
I Wasnt at school for 6 months and im from germany
Ive started a new Char in skyrim and i had a Quite funny idea for a new build: the gorgon
The gorgon is a female argonian and very interested in the magic school of alteration together with her husband they Tried To change the ash Shell spell that the Mage who aktivates it gets unkillable for a short Duration the only difference is that the Mage Can still move. The gorgons Main Skills Are as i das restauration alteration and Alchemie she Loves to paralyze her enemies and After that she Kills em with her daggers(2 ebony daggers Maybe with a paralyze enchantment too) After she leveled her Skills she uses the snake Stone( for obvious reasons XD) i tried this already once and i can say its quite Funny if one of u Here in the comments Wants to try it
Sry if a similar Build already exists im net to this channel
TheRealPDizzle thank u for your Feedback👍 and Good luck at learning the Thai Language 😁
Come to think about it:
The Ordinators put so much effort just on putting on their armor.
Whoops.
No one who isn't a mighty deadra in disguise casually slays ordinators
love to see Morrowind content so much
Congratulations on getting 900k subs. Always love watcing your channel, your lore vids are simply amazing. Thank you Lords Fudgemuppet.
Amazing analogy.. I think you really nailed it!!!
Dunmeri culture is my absolute favorite and they will always be my favorite race to play
Ah the wonderful memories of when I found the armour on a dead Ordinator, wore it and just innocently strutted around Vivec. First Ordinator I saw killed me. Good times.
I love these videos. Keep it up, brother. Your content is 🔥
does anyone ever thinks that Vivic's spear is molag bal's naughty part
It’s almost if not definitely confirmed.
Getting pretty hype for the next podcast knowing it’s gonna come out soon
The Up & Go line really got me haha
Favorite part of my work day is going on break to watch a Fudgemuppet video
Wood Elves are dumb but Dark Elves are Dunmer.
😐😐😐
Why are nerevar’s face and legs cut off in the betrayal drawing?
Because the tribunal are backstabbing assholes
(They also cut off his manhood)
They are so similar to WH40K's Space Marines and Inquisition in terms of how meticulous in donning their armor and conducting their believes .
There is a higher definition of the ordidator's outfit in eso, mourhold.
You can also equip the militant ordinator motif.
3:26 spoke too soon.
There is a special edition mod that adds the ordinator armor into Skyrim
*LET'S NOT MAKE THIS OFFICIAL, OUTLANDER. MOVE ALONG*
oh yeah i’m walking to a shop in the foreign quarter. i’m sorry it it won’t happen again thank you for being so lenient and not making this official.
@@michaelinsomanywords3647 *Justice never sleeps. Almsivi watch over you.*
So... the ritual for putting on the armor never said you ever had to take it off. So if you don't want to go through all that hassle, just keep the armor on for as long as possible.
16:35 naw, not so fast, Vivek is alive until proven otherwise 🤔
He's just like a roach, never dies, always living.
Watch, we see Vivec become something like Dagoth Ur and Tiber Septim combined.
I always killed him when I played Morrowind. Getting to strike down 2 of the three traitors was great.
He lives as long as he is believed to be alive.
Me, about halfway through listening to the morning ritual: "I just figured out when your enemies are going to sneak attack you."
They always were false gods.
My name backwards is n’wahs
Even if Almalaxia did acknowledge her role in Neravars death maybe this was a form a punishment for herself. For all of the even. They choose in their eyes the lesser of two evils but it was still an evil so they punish themselves for it.
Almalaxia never loved rerevar
She even became vivec's lover after his death
The s'wit
I have only played Skyrim, but videos about the Dunmer and the Chimer really makes me want to play Morrowind. I wish they would love to play Elder Scrolls 3, 4, and 5 with the same graphics as God of War 4. But I want to play the originaæ versions first.
Yay morrowind lore!!!
As someone who just started and Ordinator guild in ESO what sort of Ranking would the Ordinators or Temple Ordinators use?
The dark elves all their armor has masks I love it even the daedric armor from Morrowind my favorite mask is the face of God and the face of terror I feel dark elves have face masks because by nature they are decisive I mean alot of house missions have to do with sabotage or helping someone climb in ranks
Amazing video, thank you so much :)
Just had to say this, fu#ken love you guys and what you do! I love getting into these videos and you beat netflix all the way 🙌
You should do an Ordinator modded Skyrim build.
My question is
" how does becoming a vampire or werewolf not affect you being a DragonBorn, because doesn't it affect your bloodline and blood when you become one of those.
Skyrim point: The Temple at Raven Rock should have several Ordinator guards posted within and without as fitting of their calling.... hint hint.
I know this is 3 years old but Raven Rock is a settlement of the Great House Redoran, and the Ordinators are the holy guards of Great House Indoril
Fudge muppet should endorse a mod that is a library/school and inside are the endless volumes of every known book or lore in elder scrolls existence but also contain gods, one for each member of fudge muppet all voiced by them with just dialogue of them explaining lore..
"Volcanic Pomace"....nah bruh... I'm all set...
I’ve picked so many fights with the Ordinators in the Cantons.
Bro yesterday's video/podcast Scott was rocking that mustache
