I want to warn her about keeping her clothes rack against the window... overtime the sunlight fades/bleaches the parts of clothes exposed 😫😫 It's happened to me and ruined some of my favorite articles of clothing! It "sun bleaches" the dye in the clothing. And in a very uneven, ugly way. She has great style and I would hate to see her ruin her clothes! (And her art!) 💖💖💖💖

pretty easy to dismantle a piano and have several people bring the parts in. done it for my apartment too.
Most likely it was dismantled a little bit to fit. It can be done. She definitely didn't do it herself, that's for sure!

She seems so mature, hard-working, and well-rounded at just age 18. This is such a blessing and there is an even brighter future ahead. When I was 18 I didn't even know who I was yet, didn't know how to create my own space like this, and felt lost in the world. I only finally felt like I found myself and designed my space the way I wanted it after age 30.
I worked since i was 14 and knew exactly where i want to be, where my ambishions are. And i think logic about my finances. Its thanks to foundation classes i had because i wanted to get into banking in 8th grade!

Too many little things in different shapes and colours all over the place, on every wall, I would never be able to relax with so much visual stimulation everywhere. But I suppose when you're 19 you're still trying to find what you really like, therefore you surround yourself with lots. In ten years or so she'll figure it out (or decide she's indeed a maximalist and that's what she likes, who knows?)

So here is what my monkey brain thinks. I believe she had an electric piano in her old room, I remember seeing it in a previous video. So, she would probably have bought it in DC because it would be so expensive to move an upright piano across the country, and it would be a lot cheaper to move an electric one.

@@libbyrae969 I don't live in the US but my landlord is literally like "as long as everything is back to normal when you leave I couldn't care less". Holes made by nails are really easy to patch and paint over so it's really not an issue for me.
ngl im so surprised the landlord said it was okay for Linh to paint directly and also drill all those holes (even though yes you can just refill them). The apartment is so beautiful wow I wish I did this my freshman year
Usually, in the US, if you pay a security deposit you can paint and such. If you don’t restore it back to it’s original condition before moving, they keep your deposit. I personally wouldn’t move to a $1,800 amount of the landlord wouldn’t let me paint or hang photos/art. Considering you would be paying $3,600 just to get into the apartment, not being even allowed to paint would be a deal breaker.

You shouldn't have the Lavender plugin air freshner so close to the cat's food and water bowls because it can make her very sick. Actually you shouldn't have it at all around an animal that's kept inside in such a small space, that doesn't go outside often or get any fresh outdoor air, but if you must, I'd at least move it somewhere else in the apartment for the kitty's well being.

Same. I'm so happy to see other people thrive living alone and it makes me so hopeful that I can to one day. Let's keep on working hard and getting lucky till it happens
For me I’m still not sure how I’m going to earn money early apart from part times since I want to be an illustrator but not to do free styling, and I want to do a foundation art year before going into Uni, but yeah. My dream apartment 😅Don’t give up!!
Edit: still I feel like if I decided to go for something that could go one way like nursing, I’d just be studying for only that one direction in life and not struggle for no knowing what’s out there and the options I have for the career choice that can go in many directions and can go downhill easily if you’re not prepared or lucky even😫
But when I eventually have my apartment, I’m going to be vigorously organised and love myself for what I am and chose to do I life and work hard to make everything work and fight even when I’m doing things alone with maybe some help along the way. By whoever I have with me.
for me, living in an apartment means true independence, something i’ve been longing for for so many years now.
i love that we have the same dream but different interpretations and reasons for that dream💜 i hope we all are able to reach our dream in the near future💞
it's crazy to see how lively and comfy you made the place look. personally, when i saw the before clips, it looked a bit barren due to all the space, but now it looks so cosy like a little nook full of nature. let me hire you as my interior designer one day
