......You have beautiful orchids Kyle....I like to see plants,... roots....blooms are a bonus.....but show me plants all day.......you also have very good taste in orchids......those are some really nice ones.
@@MrKylesorchids and I believe you are very accurate, sir. It's really hard to reference plants in the orchid world without a visual for me.. Not that it is only about the blooms .. but the orchid world is so vast, and confusing to navigate, so too, is it challenging to take good advice when I have no idea what that person is talking about... Haha.. The other thing I think greatly appreciated for anyone trying to learn, is showing the name of each plant written and not just spoken Both of which you take the time to do! Sorry for the extra long comment, I just wanted to emphasize how rare it is to find this attention to detail. But beyond that, i think it's a vital part of making an impact on your audience... anyone who has something to enjoy, learn and/or gain from your videos, can do so starting from a solid and common ground.! Anyway. Thanks for you time and for responding, by the way. Not necessary this time, just wanted you to know. -L
@@MrKylesorchids Isn't Rick an amazing man and orchid grower?! I've been growing for about 2 years. Nothing but good success with the lava rock, charcoal and pebbles! I can feed nutrients as often as I need to without the worry of root rot.
1:03 Is this a pupurata? I have one with similar foliage. It grows extremely slowly and one leaf got scale bites. I only bought it for $20 or so but im already kind of disappointed. The camera movement matched the music. 🕺😅
HI Joe! No thats a Lailia labata and the first Lailia I have purchased. The picture of the flower amazed me so I had to buy the plant. I am in full fledge orchid mania at this time... I spend a lot of time listening to the music before I select a track and then I am just lucky when it matches the video. Thanks again for watching!
Mannn ivw bought quite a few orchid bag babies and orchids in general from store because they look sad or have rubber bands around em.. also nit wanting them to suffer. Maybe they know this when they band them and refuse to water >_< lol The one you got from orchid classics looks remarkable and ive got one similar plant wise. Do yoh think the lightness of the plant is because it requires more light? Mine is a schomburkgia hybrid. But if youre the one who posted about the astrea 'ginny' You will love what I got.. Nice video
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video! The Leilia is new to me and with me being such a rookie at orchid growing I would take what I say with a grain of salt. I believe the Leilia is so light because it is getting enough light. I believe that if it were not getting enough light it would be darker in color. So yes, would be my answer. I did not post about the asrea 'ginny'. Thanks again for watching and happy growing!
@@MrKylesorchids sorry for the mistake regarding a post I saw awhile back. I've been trying to find the video and I thought his name was Kyle. But yes! I actually meant to ask if the very light green of your laelia was indication of that specific plant liking high light. Didn't mean to imply that yours getting enough. It's just that I noticed it is very natural looking with specific orchids for them to be such a light yellowy green, where as other it seems natural for them to be green apple green or darker green. I'm a beginner as well and I wondered if receiving a super light colored orchid plant similar to yours, could be a hint of the light requirements for growing it successfully. Like... I typically never seen a cattleya or tolumnia turning lighter like that or towards that color in super bright light. They get reddish or spotty. So I was wondering if maybe it's a safe assumption to assume these orchids have higher light requirements or more tolerance to direct sun.
I wish I could confidently answer whether or not it needs more light. I tend to jump in head first when I get passionate about something. It’s a good question for Rick L or Nina at Ninja_orchids. I should shoot them an email when I get time. 😅
Thanks for the feedback! Sorry that you didn't like the music! Its not about the music though and I can't please everyone, but I do greatly appreciate you being here and watching the video. Hopefully you will enjoy future videos music. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for taking the time to make a comment. Good or bad I welcome them. You will notice, if you watch more of my videos, I do not talk because I don't have a good talking voice. Therefore I have to spend a lot of time editing by adding text and getting the pictures of every orchid I own so that others can see what the blooms look like. It would be easier to just talk about each one and it would save a lot of time. I do spend even more time finding good music I can use to help the viewer enjoy the time they spend watching what I have produced. Maybe you enjoyed the music or not...to each their own. I do hope you have a great day and come back to see what else I have posted. Cheers!

LOL! Thank you!
Really really appreciate that you put pictures of the blooms on the screen because it helps so much for me to commit them to memory.
^_^
Thank you ! It took a lot of time finding those in my phone or off the internet but I felt it was important.
