I bought this on Aliexpress a couple of weeks ago, it's the anbernic RG353P, a handheld retro gaming console. Now let's be honest, this isn’t exclusively for my girlfriend. Obviously, I'm going to use it too, in fact, I’ve been using it for the last couple of weeks, and I love it. My goal was to find something that would work out of the box with no issues and could run 99% of the games I want it to. Spoilers, it's good. So let's start the review, shall we?
In the box, which btw, mine got a little wet in the corner, thank you very much DHL for keeping my console hydrated, but inside, you’ll find the console itself, a USB C cable, a screen protector, and the manual.
As you can see, this thing reminds me a lot of my 8bit do SN 30 pro controller. It's got the grey body, the 2 tone purple buttons, and every joystick, D-pads, and triggers you’d need for any console games. Build quality-wise, this thing is ROCK solid. The D-pad feels great, the face buttons are responsive, the joysticks are great, and thank god, they went with a proper trigger configuration. I hate it when the L and R buttons are side by side. Stacked like this is perfect.

ME TOO! I was a kid and bought a shell for it from a sketchy website. The buttons would bind like crazy. Also that freaking battery mod made me lose 2 batteries. 😂😂😂

Yeah. You can do that with Bluetooth. Not wifi though.

Hey man just a quick question when you said how to drag and drop roms mine is locked. It won’t let me access the roms folder , is that because I have the sd card they preloaded in it ?
Hmmm. Did you check in your devices settings to see if it's password protected?
By devices setting do you mean on the actual handheld or on my computer.
When I try to click it on my computer it just tells me it’s locked and I don’t have access.
You need custom firmware on it like Retro Arena. You shouldn’t use more then 5v charger If the charger doesn’t support 5v not safe for the device it will over heat the rg353p device.
Yep, the charger supports 5 to 20V. Obviously though, the actual BMS of the console is what dictates which voltage and amperage it will accept from the charger.

Why no specs
Specs are a bit odd to discuss in a product like that. I prefer talking about the actual gaming performance. But its an RK3566 Quad-core 1.8ghz CPU; 2GB RAM
I will never let a China product touch my wifi or breach my firewall… let’s hope you protected yours.
You can install a different OS like I did :) JelOS is lightweight too!
