    So i took your design and snapped pillars to the foundation to raise this up higher by using the staggered pillars (one from the fence snaps and one from the foundation). for PVE builds this is great since you can raise your dedi storage floor to be the roof of your build so when you anky farm etc you can just land on the roof drop the metal etc into your dedi's quickly and move on. this also makes doing this in tricky build pvp spots as well with enough pillar spam you can make the floor not worth breaking from that perspective. TY for the build method.

    • @toastbloke
      @toastbloke  Год назад

      No problem! Like I say, beef it up with as many pillars and walls as you like! Taking it higher is useful too! Go crazy! Farming is as hard as it's going to be on The Island, so little things like that to speed things up are great ideas. It's always good to hear how people are using these methods and implementing them into the game!

    Just stumbled onto your channel yesterday. Love the content. I used another one of your videos (The stacked fridges/preserving bins) and figured out it works to perfectly flush dedi storage at ceiling height. Produced almost the same result as you have in the ceiling version of this build but you can access the dedi storage from directly below. Keep up the content. Ill definitely be watching.

      Lovely stuff! Thanks for watching! I played about with a pillar edged dedicated floor for a bit, but the boxes still needed support if they weren't in the middle, so moved onto lowering a floor. Did you find a way to make that happen then, or do you have them around an edge? Would be so sick to have a floating floor back!

    • @A2ronD
      @A2ronD Год назад +1

      You are correct. I did a 3x3 square of metal "beams" which allowed me to place a square of dedicated storage around the outside. No support for the middle. Nice for A compact crafting station though. If I do find a way, Ill let you know.@@toastbloke

    • @toastbloke
      @toastbloke  Год назад

      @@A2ronD Still a great use, yeah! Glad you got something you're happy with! I guess it's double up as access too. And likewise, would be amazing, but from testing it seems like they need solid support or just collapse. I guess it's to stop hidden sky storage and the likes, but it's a shame!

    Ooooooo I like this. I like this a lot. Definitely gotta take this concept and make a build with it. Maybe something simple like making a pattern into the base floor or something complicated.
    Love these videos for builders. Inspires me to experiment :)
    Hope you grow bigger. Saw BeyPlaysGames shouted you for your video on stacking structures with pillars and beams on his tips video.
    He showed the basics but you definitely went into more depth with that technique. Keep it up~

      @toastbloke  Год назад +1

      Thank you! And I’m glad you do! 🙏🏻
      I need to try this kind of stuff you’re talking about out. I come from PvP so relatively new to PvE. There’s no time for patterns and the likes there, so I’ve not even thought about that. Could be cool to have different heights and materials with different things in the floor! Might have to experiment!
      And Bey is a top fella! That’s super kind of him. Was great meeting him via Monarky!

    You can use beams to top the quarter walls for aesthetic.

    • @toastbloke

    • @toastbloke
      @toastbloke  Год назад +1

      Usually they just show up when you put something into them, so I figured it would just be the same. Are you not seeing any when they have things in? Maybe it's a bug? Only other thing is, you can show/hide the visual from the top and bottom of the box in settings. That's not default setting, but maybe that's set to hide.

    Trying this at a flat area at 44.3 long 78.4 lat and I cannot get the foundations to snap to the fence foundations at all. Did an update change this?

    • @toastbloke
      @toastbloke  11 месяцев назад +1

      Not that I’m aware, but I’ll look into it. Have you put a wall or pillar on the fence foundation like in the video before trying to snap your foundation? The foundation technically snaps to the structure on the fence foundation, not the fence foundation itself. Let me know if that helps. Cheers! 💪🏻

    • @timdelaney95
