I was a 6 year old little latina girl watching top chef and admiring Padma for her difference- she was always so strong and outspoken and confident- and SHE is one of the reasons why I wanted to go into culinary. I have been in the industry for 7 years now and have competed on a cooking competition- because I grew up seeing a strong brown woman on TV when that wasn’t “a thing”. I love padma and hope to meet her one day just to say “THANK YOU!!”💕
wow.... youre lucky to have such a inspiration... keep up the good job... never let your dreams go it will be a honor for her to meet you and the rest of the world..... peace
Charlemagne is so good at asking the right questions and then being quiet and listening. I wish more people would watch and learn from him. I'm know it took a lot of hard work to be as good as he is at the job but it hasn't gone unnoticed👍
I absolutely love Padma. She is smart, real and beautiful. Great interview.
Charlamagne is such an amazing interviewer. I could watch his stuff all day. You can tell he’s a genuine, down to earth, intentional, individual. Awesome
Naw he’s a self serving opportunist who exploits mental health for financial gain.
He definitely performed well here. The energy was different between these two in this interview as compared to his usual personality.
From what I’ve seen and usually get to see, Charlamagne is a huge narcissist. He may have other qualities, but narcissism is his strongest trait. His personality always has to overpower the other people in the room. Just one example of many. This can be demonstrated and observed more clearly in The Breakfast Club episodes.
Also, Charlamagne wouldn’t be where he is today without the help of Wendy Williams as she took him under her wing and opened the doors for many opportunities to him.
Its crazy shes 51 and still looks so good. I know 31 year olds that if you put her in the same room youd swear the 31 year old is 51 and vice versa
She looks great, but I believe ladies need to see more older ladies embracing the things that come with age- like their lovely silver hair.
@@lesliewheeler7071 i agree
Lol damn you ain't have to do them thotties like that
@@mannyaz11 LOL yes i did bruh someone had to tellem
@@lesliewheeler7071 very true
CTG is such a great interviewer. This was a good episode 👏🏾. Enjoyed this. The camera angles and structure and flow are impeccable. CTG should host a masterclass on interviewing and becoming a radio & TV personality. So much to learn as an emerging creative & interviewer
She is BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Padma is soooooo beautiful! I always say this when I see her lol. 😍
Her speaking on beauty standards is interesting. I'd assume she'd be gorgeous in any demographic. Her face is gorgeous, great body, good skin tone, beautiful hair... she good in any hood
facts
Beauty standards change all over this world. Crazy but true
@@GeronFletcher I don't disagree. But some beauty is universal. Certain qualities are attractive in most places
@@jackb1969 yeah it can change. Like stretched out necks or tattoos on their face. Everyone has customs
@@GeronFletcher yes. But the basics are the same. Symmetry, good teeth, strong features for men, youth in women...
I Love This Woman! She lives her truth! Great interview!
Timeless beauty! 😍😍😍
She’s 51…….wow she’s beautiful 😍😍
I’m such a fan of both Charla and Padma! This was a great interview! Now I would love to see Padma flip it and interview Charlamagne!
I was always mesmerized by her spirit ever since I saw her on Top Chef . Once I learned how to cook made me appreciate her on another level and watching her perspective here makes me realize I knew I saw something special about her even when I was younger .
Great interview !

Love this interview I always wonder why we as black felt so down about everything . I get it but things they threw at us we held on to it and gave it LIFE! Instead of moving on showing better not just sports and entertainment u know what in saying. JS
She is stunning and very elegant. Beautiful Tamil woman
She is beautiful and smart.
Who colour graded this interview kudos to the colour grader.
Also the camera work is on point.

Some people get Leonard while others get CTG. 🤔
How in any way is she emerging? She's been famous since the 2000s lmfao
She’s not super famous to be honest. We know her but still
@@GeronFletcher she's been on Top Chef for 177 seasons bro
Wow... She is so beautiful... SMH...
I think I have the same syndrome and never knew what to call it
Indiana jones ain’t about Indians🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🥴😂😂😭
Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom is about Indians!
How is Padma a culinary expert?
Why?

Who asked for this? Padma ? lol
I asked for this. Padma is dope.
@@ClaxtonBay123 stan over this individual on your own, instead of responding to everyone's comments on why this is even an interview.
It’s called Charla’s liberal 🕎 handlers alley-ooping Kamala Harris type stories to dumb down the mentally vulnerable ADOS community
@@robertcomfort2186 Nah I'll do it right here. You'll get over it. Once again Padma is dope
Asian? I thought she’s was Indian?
India is in Asia, welcome to geography

Donate your brain to science.
Why is it so many men never grow out of the juvenile phase and become accountable adults? It's a clown show.
We live in a victim’s world now..why everyone gotta talk about how hard they had it instead of bein happy for what they got!!
Shes on here trying to make her life sound so hard lol
Brown means black and Latino not Asian.
Asians aren’t some homogeneous group..Educated yourself
@@jnarayan11 of course, but the term in America to describe Black and Latino communities has always been "Brown"
Huh?? What? Hell nah. Brown has always meant Indian/Afghani/Pakistani. The California Latino crowd has only just started using it more than in the 90s. Revisionist history 🤦🏽♂️
Brown definitely includes Indian people
@@GeronFletcher but the term in the U.S never meant Asian community. There is brown skin people throughout Asia but the term black/brown community has always referred to Black and Latino.
Well that was a waste of 25min
So she ain't from NYC then? There was multiple cultures all over this city from 70s and 80s. Foh
Those fake teeth have her talking funny
At least she can afford them :D
@@Neliboo10
If only money could buy her a voice that didn’t sound like she was wearing a football mouth guard.
I guess money can’t buy everything.
@@poerava wow I wish money could buy you some wisdom, definitely a less disrespectful mindset and soul 🤢🤔
@@Neliboo10
I’m going to guess your mirror is broken or doesn’t work properly.
It seems you were unaware of how disrespectful and less wise, your comment about saying ‘at least she can afford it’ was.
How do you think this comment was received by people who can’t even afford the privilege of having a phone (2.5 billion people) or have dental issues?
I suggest you try borrowing a friends mirror and look at your own ‘soul’, before belittling others.
The background of my initial comment is actually aimed towards how I wish people were able to feel more comfortable with their natural teeth and their ‘perceived’ imperfections.
Most of my wealthy friends with full sets of veneers, tell me they currently struggle with speech, sounding like they normally do, eating and even breathing. They say they feel that they look and sound less authentic and often wish they somehow were able to feel confident enough before getting these veneers.
@@poerava dude you have a lot of time on your hands and will not waste my time. Lol I'm not reading all that good day buddy
