Space Buns Danna, what I do with my yarn is when I make something I cut out the important info from the packaging, cut a sample of the yarn, take a photo of the piece and put tape/glue it all down in a notebook. That way when I abandon a project or run out of yarn, I know exactly what I need. I’ll also make little tags with the name, color, lot#, etc and when I roll my yarn I make sure the tag is secured at the beginning but leave it sticking out of the ball of yarn. It’s extra work but for you who can now add fashion designer to your portfolio, it will help you in the long run. I can’t believe I finally caught up. Yay! You’re such a phenomenal and speedy crocheting queen. 🙌🏼 Love from Texas🫶🏻

I’m an avid crocheter and I’m like you when it comes to winging it…. I do follow chart patterns… I’m visual so having a chart is so much easier than reading steps. The hat is adorable with the fuzzy Pom Pom! I liked the orange one…. It looked good but if you think it wouldn’t stay in because the yarn is too slick… try washing the sizing out and maybe it will help give it more body…air dry flat. Sorry, that you’re going through this rough patch… love that you’re using crochet to help you get through the pain…meditative and therapeutic. Hmm, have you ever thought you may be too attached to fringe (pun intended) - I personally am not a fringe girl, and most of the pieces you hold up, I love them much more without it - everything looks a wee bit tidier to me, and it could save you hours of time. I'm not sure what the hems would be like without them, as I haven't crocheted for eons, but I'm sure there is another remedy for saggy hems other than fringe. I loved the beanie the most - is that because it doesn't have one? Maybe. 😉😉

Space buns! Hmm, have you ever thought you may be too attached to fringe (pun intended) - I personally am not a fringe girl, and most of the pieces you hold up, I love them much more without it - everything looks a wee bit tidier to me, and it could save you hours of time. I'm not sure what the hems would be like without them, as I haven't crocheted for eons, but I'm sure there is another remedy for saggy hems other than fringe. I loved the beanie the most - is that because it doesn't have one? Maybe. 😉😉
