Hi Victor i have a 98 s320 i changed the rear coil and struts on rear thinking thats why it was riding low but it didn't work out so now i stuck in spring helpers and new rubber seats it came up a little but not enough ibdont see no hydraulic anywhere on car i did find electronic leveler valve on rear and front that only have a electronic plug nothing else what spring can i use to lift the rear higher? Love your videos ❤
Hi Victor i had a quick question my car is sagging in the rear i changed the rear coil and all four struts i notice this car had leveler valves in front and rear but it don't have air shocks would you know how i can tell if it was suppose to be air shocks or not the levelers are both electric not hydraulic any help would be appreciated.
LOL.. yeah, been looking for that myself. Of all the struts used on these, none have serviceable bushings. $400+ strut is fine.. bushing goes bad, guess what. Killer business model.
Hello Victor, is the strut the same thing as a shock absorber on this w140? I have the same problem on my s500 w140, continuous clunking noise in the rear.
sure you cant replace the bushing in the strut?????? believe you can, using same bushings as in the rest of the arms, dril it out and press a different one in.(same bushes we use for lining out the bellhouses in boats)
MrBugsier5 there might be a way to replace it somehow. I never spent time doing it and don't have lathe machine to cut seat for replacement bushing. I read about other people efforts replacing that bushing and they were not successful. If customer will leave me his old strut I might spend some time experimenting on it. I was thinking of filling it with polyurethane but not sure if it will hold since bushing spins in its seat. Lower price for strut as of today is $459. Dont know if it will be worth efforts to modify old strut or just buy new one
Everyone who has replaced the lower bushing itself has only found temporary short term success. Typically it fails in a matter months and the banging noise or the more common horrible loud creaking noise comes right back.

Probably wrong springs. Bring the car to me and I'll fix that.
I have embarrassing squeaking noise from the back.
What would be ?
