Deep Rock and Helldivers take place in the same universe, the Helldivers do everything above ground and the Dwarves stay in the caves and mines where they belong
Only reasons as to why I would like DRG over HD2 is because of how they dealt with solo play. DRG is solo play friendly while HD2 is basically telling you to play with friends and if you do solo you may be screwed. But that doesn’t mean I dislike HD2 cuz it is hella fun with friends. But weapon wise? Yeah I’m giving that to DRG. Weapon grinding in HD2 is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Most weapons I’ve used are trash and the only way I can stop them is kill streaks. Like bro I wanna feel OP killing them myself I don’t wanna constantly asking for an orbital cannon or a 500 KG Bomb every time just to kill them. If they can fix those 2 problems I’d probably be playing it way more but I’m sticking to DRG cuz at least all the weapons are OP in their own class.
imagine how cool it would be if you could get a automaton in helldivers 2 as a butler on your ship and he would be called alfred or something like that
