  • This pattern looks just like a heavy log chain. Use knotting methods similar to a sanctified weave to get this look for yourself.

    Commenting as Paracordia UK. You tend to hugely over estimate the amount of cord needed which results in a lot of waste. I know this can be used for other projects in some cases, but it would be good if you could actually state the length of each colour remaining at the end so we could factor this in at the beginning of the project. Thanks.

    Your videos are good to an extent as I have a bit of criticism that I'd like to let you know of. You speed up a lot and heavily edit your videos which makes it kinda hard to follow in some parts such as, in this pattern you alternate the whites once through the middle and once one cord through either side. This was not explained properly. I had to slow the video to 0.25 and then still keep rewinding and pausing because the editing cuts a lot of the parts out. I hope you take this as constructive criticism.

    This is a nice design. What should have been mentioned was how long this bracelet was going to be... and how the thickness would affect the length. This turned out to be 7 3/4 inches (for my 6 inch wrist) with just enough room to turn it while on my wrist! The disappointing part was at the end when I had 5 feet of silver cord and 2 feet of black cord left over. What a waste!

      Agreed..I made basically the same comment about waste about 5 mins ago.

    Rather hard one to do though it came out looking good in a rainbow design.

    This is really a great pattern. How hard would it be to make a belt out of it? How would you figure out how much cord you would need to make one .... ?

    • @ParacordPlanet
      @ParacordPlanet  3 года назад +2

      Best way to estimate for the belt would be to make 1 inch of this pattern, unravel it to see how much cord was used, and then multiply it by how many inches the belt will be.

    Would love to turn this into a dog collar. How much foot per inch if its a 22inch collar??

    That’s great! How do you work out the diameter of your wrist? I assume you measure your wrist and then add some length to account for the thickness of the bracelet? What additional amount do you allow for the thickness?

    • @ParacordPlanet
      @ParacordPlanet  3 года назад

      You are on the right track! We usually make the bracelet 1 inch longer than the wrist circumference. For extra thick bracelets (basically anything thicker than this one) we might add 1.5-2 inches of length.

    Hypothetically speaking, I could tie this into a shotgun along with enough cord, right?

    • @ParacordPlanet

      Sure! We don't have a tutorial for that, but it is a cool idea. If you do DIY a gun sling with this chain link weave, let us know how it goes!
