Thanks for sharing-finally someone playing the Emeo with a sax sound. All the other reviews are playing with the synth sounds. I like it - but can't help but think the 2nd/3rd version of this will be amazing! I'll hold fire until then
Hi, question for you: can you tell me if the Respiro interface that comes wit( the Emeo include saxophone sounds ? If so, are they relatively close to real saxophone sounds ? Thanks for responding. Roger
So what‘s your judgement? Is the Emeo worth buying even though the sound is so much different (not to say worse) compared to the alto saxophone? I can see and hear how much you are struggeling with it, the alto seems to come a lot more naturally.
It's not a saxophone, it's more of a simulator! But from what is on the market today, this is a wonderful product! A complete sensation in the hands that this is a saxophone! And you can practice with headphones all night long, so there is no one to interfere with! And you can also play concerts! I’m recommend this instrument
Thanks for your quick answer. I watched many videos about the Emeo and i thought it might be great for silently practicing scales, chords, arpeggios, etc. which is not a lot of fun for others to listen to. So even or maybe in particular as a beginner it might be quite interesting. Will consider buying it. BTW, thanks for your videos playing your alto with playalong tracks, love them.
EMEO is a controller with authentic mechanics, which makes an outstanding MIDI instrument. It also comes with Respiro wind synthesizer VST which is great if you like fusion. Very interesting software. I've bought Respiro last year and almost immediately learned about EMEO and finally ordered it last week! Hope my son (and our neighbors of course) appreciate it ))) Can't wait to have fun with it myself.
So as I sit here with tax money considering purchasing this, I’m wondering will it satisfy the ideas for its usage in my head. Obviously practicing without disturbing anyone is good I’m also looking for a nice way to add midi wind instruments to my productions. I play sax so of course I’d record the real deal, but sometimes when I’m recording at home I need to work the ideas for the melody first and right now I do that with either a keyboard or I hum the melody record it and then go back with the real sax. It’d be neat to use this to lay that sketch down so to speak. Also sometimes I’ve wanted to add trumpet or instruments that I don’t play without calling one of my trumpet buddies. I also want the sound to be realistic and not synth…is this truly what I’ll be getting? Is it worth that price tag? Thanks!!
What are the specs of your computer? I am having trouble with the Emeo causing my DAW to freeze when playing the SWAM collection. Perhaps I need to invest in a MAC. Are you using a MAC? What is the latency when using Bluetooth MIDI. Windows does support Bluetooth MIDI currently? Thanks
@@RobertAnchipolovsky Ok. What software synths are you using and what DAW or are you simply using Respiro? I have the SWAM collection and want to do live performances. I have a MIDI foot controller for growl or whatever I want to assign to it. I was using Sonar as my DAW but it would freeze every time. I am using Reason now which is much better but freezes also.
@@RobertAnchipolovsky perhaps I am not getting good results because I am not using Respiro. The SWAM sounds much better. Yes, windows does not support Bluetooth MIDI. How good is the breath pressure sensor response on you EMEO. Mine seems to be a bit hard to control regardless which of the three settings I use. I am waiting to be able to customize my fingerings with the soon to be released software update. 😎
Has anyone set up a sound that actually sounds like a sax? Mostly, what I hear is too dark (too cutoff) and too smooth and lacks presence and attitude. This has almost nothing to do with the mechanics and abilities of the Emeo instrument and everything to do with the soft synth behind it. Will the Emeo adapt to other 3rd party air-control virtual saxs (I would think so). I would love a side by side demo where the Emeo actually sounded even remotely as good as an acoustic sax. Then, you could stop calling it a "practice" sax. I'm the keyboard player in my jazz band, but I think my sax player might be interested IF it sounded like a sax. He has lung issues that caused him to switch from the tenor to the alto - so a virtual sax might be great for him. But, there has to be a better side-by-side with the difference being almost indiscernible. Is that possible? Thanks! ps The SWAM modeled sax seems pretty sweet.

Very nice playing.......great video. The EMEO would be perfect solution if it had onboard sounds and a headphone jack.
