Tony Blackwell - the sky definitely helps. But it's one of those images where a number of things have to happen to make it really click - the timing of the tide, the wind level, the break in the clouds, getting your feet wet and balancing the sky and reflections.
As always brilliant, fantastic shots and impossible to pick a favourite and your videos are going from strength to strength. Sometimes it's good when they get the weather wrong.
Nicholas Miles - I have to confess that I haven't either. It certainly makes up for all the times when I've been out and the "magic" hasn't really happened.
Jim Holden - I'm glad you like the soundtrack - its was basically a 10 minute jam session; I'd have fun trying to recreate it, but I don't think I will. I kind of like the fact that the timing and the melody is all over the place and just "happens"
Wow - what a great location, my brother lives in this area, great place, we always enjoy going to see him and watch the Cruise ships coming in. You may have struggled to get up but boy was it worth it. Also, I just realised that I hadn't subbed your channel before - so have done so now. Thanks for this - will look into more of your vids - hopefully can learn a thing or two.
Yes you had - and i have seen your vids before, they appear in my recommended, but only this morning i noticed that i hadn't actually subbed you. Some amazing pictures - thanks again
May I suggest a different programme for stitching panoramas? I use autopano giga and it works wonders when lightroom fails. The only limitation though is that the output file is a tiff and not raw. Otherwise it has saved me a lot of time and corrections when lightroom refuses to co operate.
DSLR Life - Nigel Bailey you are absolutely right and it is going to be way cheaper than buying new software. However, do keep this in mind. It is a good programme and it might come handy to know about it in the future 😃
Simply Stunning....!!
gold mine skies that day!
Steve H - thanks for watching
Another splendid presentation. Beautiful images of the skies. Anything would look good with those skies.

Marieta Tsoukoukou - thanks for the tip. The other option I have is to use an l-bracket so that there is less of a parallax error between each shot.
