It’s like therapy to me too. I listen to songs like “Beautiful” or “Lose Yourself” in between to help recover. Thank you for doing this. Bless your heart, I wouldn’t have blamed you for stopping because those two songs are so real and painful. He really did OD on Christmas Eve and after took some time to recover and speak right again. Funny because that was the second time he had to relearn simple tasks. A bully put him in a coma when he was a kid. He had a serious brain bleed. He wrote about it in “brain damage” and the bully turned around and sued him for several million. Sucks to be Marshall

Honestly the "black people don't relate to Eminem since he talks about pills and killing his mother" argument is ridiculous on so many levels.
      1. He has a lot of songs where he talks about all kind of things, these two topics I just mentioned are just two amongst many.
      2. How many white people kill their mother? I'm pretty sure it's not like all white people kill their mother, it's the rebellion and the anger toward parents (that I'm pretty sure white people and black people feel alike) that we relate to.
      3. If you look for "Eminem reaction" the first 10 Videos you'll find are probably all black people since 90% of the reactors are black and they all seem to enjoy his music. (Case and point this video) if I missed something or you disagree or agree let me know.

@@alinac5512 actually I agree with you. Eminem is the most human rapper who acknowledges his mistakes and flaws. Even he doesn't want to be put on a pedestal as a " Rap God". All he wants is to be respected as an MC whether you like him or not. I think the misconceptions that many people about Eminem and his fans is because people fail to understand him and his style of rap. He literally can rap about anything and get a reaction be it good or bad. I feel like to him a reaction is better than no reaction at all. I mean he did admit he thrives on controversy in many of his songs. So hating on him is pointless because he is in control of many things because he puts fuel in his own fire. Sorry for a long reply... point is he is a good rapper and all his album are good in their own way and what's makes them good is the fact they are not perfect they reflect Eminem flawed character. That overdose at the end gets to me. Particularly because Em has always been my hero, and just like him, I became an addict, and in particularly similar fashion I OD'd in a bathroom, and was found nearly too late and had to be airlifted to live, mind you all whilst in and out of consciousness (Chest Compression's SUCK) I can BARELY remember begging the doctor to let me die, and I thought I came up with that little thought on my own, but the nurses and doctor confirmed that I actually did that. Anyway, I'm so glad I didn't die, now. I didn't realize that people actually care about me! These two songs are tough, but beautiful. Just the two songs all Stan's have been searching for!

Eminem is a storyteller. His flow, his bars - they're just tools to him. That's why he is the greatest to ever do it. He knows how to get at your heart, he just happens to do it over a beat.
As for the Arose part, that was a true story. Eminem overdosed, was declared dead on the table. They unplugged him and he woke up. That's when he got off drugs, started his "clean" lifestyle.
Since then he's been climbing back to where he was and beyond.

I love your reactions and I very much appreciate you being able to feel why Em is so important to his fans. I've been listening to Eminem since I was in elementary school 20 years ago because it was as if he was taking all the emotions and thoughts I was having and put them in lyric. Growing up in a broken home and being a little white boy in a predominant hispanic and black neighborhood I related to everything he was saying. You have done a lot of his more heartfelt tracks, so I recommend you check out some D12 songs. D12 being a group he was a part of with his bestfriend Proof, whose death Em mentioned in Arose, and is mostly just them messing around and having fun. You'll definitely enjoy the official music video of D12 "My Band", Em dressed as a female fan is hilarious 😂

I think people like seeing raw reactions and like to see how other people reacted to them after hearing them for themselves for the first time. I get it though, but some of the more artistical talent that you will find in lyrical rap will usually come from darker places. Not all but a lot. There are different sides of Eminem though, there's a happier/funnier side (the real slim shady, cold wind blows, forget about Dre), the sad side, the diss track side (killshot, the warning, the ringer, not alike, etc...)
and then there's the darker Wtf side that you haven't been introduced to yet surprisingly... 😂 (3am, my darling, framed etc...)
You should take a break and react to some of his more inspirational songs though like (till I collapse, believe, not afraid) hope this list helps

I decided to subscribe because of how emotional you get. It just shows a lot about your character and realness. Definitely makes me want to support you goals. You are also relatable. It’s important to be real and show your emotions. Strength is more about being willing to show vulnerability even when you think you shouldn’t. Makes you grow.

He was talking about media when he talked someone speaking bad about him. That’s why he said “they”. Whenever he makes a song that’s specifically about his daughter, he doesn’t talk bad about her mom.

You always say he is so relatable and you're correct. It is like therapy and that's what makes artist like him so great. The fact that they can take you on a journey of emotions and also open your mind to think about things. Like a great book or movie.
Good video as usual. Keep it up.

This song is so tragic to me bc it reminds me of my little sister she I was a child and taking care of her, and now I'm so far away from her and I know I'm the joy and sadness in her life and destroyed me for so long, bc my mom was never there. I just hope they can listen to songs from eminem like these bc they know that's how I feel and forgive me when I'm gone from this earth.

For me this live video just solidified your place as my top number 1 reactor you keep it so real and honest and the way you project your emotions and aren't biased and you can actually tell Eminem is coming from a real deep solid place and he's not fake and your comment at the end I had to think about how Lord Jamar was saying if black people listen to Eminem they're not live or they're corny and he doesn't respect you if you're black and listen to Eminem or if you like Eminem and general and how that comment you made at the end was basically a slap in the face to him lmfao

Found my way back to this reaction, might be my favorite reaction of yours. The drop from excited to in thought and into sadness is amazing. You can relate to the songs which is why it hit you so hard. Look we don’t give you sad songs to make you feel bad or make you sad. It’s just we all had to battle our demons and go through this songs on our own. You aren’t alone. Em is just very good at what he does. Evoking emotion and telling his story. That’s what make him one of the greats

  • @kerrnel9542

Love the way his songs bring out your emotions, when you took the long pause and couldn’t or didn’t have anything to comment, I could see that the words and emotions got all mixed up in your mind, not knowing what to say first or which way to go, all the PERSONAL issues caught in his spiderweb of relatable lyrics, your feelings entangled in his. Some might say “it’s just rap” but it’s also art, not anyone can do it as good as he does and ART is supposed to inspire/invoke thoughts, feelings and even sensations which is exactly what happened here, mission accomplished by both you and him.

Awesome reaction SUSHI. This song hits hard for me personally. 4 years ago, I popped a bunch of Xan's and chugged a beer down. I passed out in public and they gave me a dose of Narcan and that didn't work. Got rushed to ICU. I was in a day coma and woke up. I was hooked up to a heart monitor, breathing mask. I had a slow pulse and a slow heart beat and I was very close to death.

Hi! Great reaction, very relatable - I cried listening to Arose too...Eminem just paints such a vivid picture with his words, it's like you're there! Plus he puts so much emotion in his voice, ugh..
But yeah, Hailie's Song would be good choice, if you want to react to something happier (with singing too!) Or one of his motivational tracks - Not Afraid, Lose Yourself, Cinderella Man, Beautiful Pain or Guts Over Fear (both featuring Sia)...

True he can take you too those deep emotional places we don’t often examine, but for those of us who are in those places mentally he often leads us out of them by the end of an album. I have respect for his music and I think you should try to do a full album review to truly experience the emotional journey and lyricisms.
