Next series you'll learn something very interesting about people who tell you facts about wasps...I only just realized it may have been a callback to Katherine's prize task here and Daisy's response 😂
It's riffing on the idea that when you step on a wasp, it releases pheromones that attract other wasps to kill whatever killed it, and the fact that it's very likely that someone will reel that fact off to you any time you do step on one. I don't think it was intended to be a callback to this but only the Woz would know for sure.
that lines task is so funny, even rewatching it is making me cry laughing 😭 also the moment of silence is extra wonderful if you think about the fact that there’s no live studio audience, so it’s really just them trying not snicker
Subtitlers are generally shit at their jobs. I don’t know how they get their jobs when they don’t seem to have ears, quite frankly. I don’t think I’ve ever seen subtitles that were 100% accurate.
I watched the lines task just the other day, but it still cracks me up massively. It's a little long, but it would've been very hard to edit it down without missing some golden moments. I love when they add a bit extra for one contestant making it basically a solo task. I think Katherine improvising just makes the scene ever better, her line 'everyone just chill the fuck out' lives rent free in my head. The other tasks are good too, I love Mawaan catching on to Daisy's DQ and outing it well before Alex planned to reveal it. Full cast DQ's are already funny, but Greg making everyone sit with it is just perfect. Coincidentally as I'm watching this I'm drinking a can of Irn Bru.
"This Morning With Richard Not Judy" was a comedy programme made in late 1990s by Richard and his comedy partner Stewart Lee. The crow he brought was a titular character in one of the segments, like a low-budget kids TV show, which may explain why he doesn't look that good. So it seems like a rather meaningful prize for Richard, don't know why you thought it deserved last.
Congratulations on your hand squeezing water talent. I believe we are all blessed with a genuine skill or two. Some might say having the skill to be a doctor or a sports star are more important, but you get what you are given. YOINK Personally I can identify any font and I'm also really good at getting pens working again when they seem like they have run out.
I think the person saying S11 and S12 get better is right, and it's because of us getting more used to living with Covid. S10 feels rough because covid hit mid-way through recording, so it messed up the team tasks, and there's a very vulnerbal feeling in the studio, coupled with the lack of an audience, making it have a weird vibe. (I also think the tasks go too DQ heavy, but that's just a personal gripe I have). S11 has one of my top 3 line-ups of contestants, and it does feel to me like they would've shone more with a live audience. Lee Mack especially is such a fast-witted comedian, and he does his thing well, but with only 6 others in the room to laugh at it, it feels weaker. The team tasks however are all designed to be at a distance. And most* of the tasks feel more fair to me. (MASSIVE astericks on "most" because there is one task that I think is the most BS task in the whole show, but I'll get to that when you get to the episode) S12 feels like they perfected the covid series. It truely feels like a perfect cast to be funny without an audience and it not feeling weird. I think the producers chose them specifically to fit the vibe of a no-audience series. And again, the tasks were designed with covid in mind. I can't think of any major bs ones either but I haven't rewatched that series (or any later ones) since it aired.
I really want to know what the S11 BS task is as I can’t really think about which one it is. The one true BS task though is the team one from S15 that involves counting things… Edit: Just remembered, is the S11 task one that involves water bottles?
Firstly, as someone who has the winged-eagle title that prize task would’ve been a simple choice for me. Also, I prefer s11 over 12, but I’m heavily bias as three of the cast were already favourites of mine. Both very good tho!
You should definitely check out This Morning with Richard not Judy if it's possible, it was one of the most anarchic and bizarre shows in UK TV history. No idea how it got greenlit lol. Sunday morning, taking the piss out of Jesus, coming very close to saying "cunt" on live tv, and just utterly bizarre stuff. Genius and madness
Oh its a great picture, veyr talented. But how is Greg the best thing with wings, when he doesnt even like them? I think he didnt do a great job explaining it
It wasnt the best thing that has wings, it was the best thing "with" wings. Whats the best thing with wings? Greg? a shop? Nah, give me wings and chips over wings in a shop any day
@@AdamfromFWCI I collect 7" inch figures, so unfortunately Marvel Legends are slightly too small for me. It's a great figure though. Those wings are amazing!

I doubt it was a callback as this episode probably hadn't come out yet when S11 was being filmed. But it's a cool connection anyway.

Mawaan clearly said "it sort of slips into Brummie [a Birmingham accent]". I don't know why the subtitler didn't get it.

Seasons 11-14 are all brilliant. Also genuinely laughed out loud at 'tampon with wings' 😂 that would be horrific

Mawaan had a death wish for pointing out Daisy's mistake, lol.

I'm old - my first 45 record was "Ebony Eyes" by Bob Welch. I have no recollection why I wanted that particular song, though I still love the music.

We're not classing CDs as an old person's thing are we? I'm 26 and they still seem quite relevant
Yeeeah CDs are around, but they were way way way more relevant 20-30 years ago.
the first CD single I bought was Sash - Equador. I was 9

Who sang these Taskmaster songs?
AI. There's a short bit at the end of one of these saying Adam did the lyrics, music was AI generated.
I never bought a single. Can't even remember buying CD's. I bought vinyl records though.
I actually find this to be the best COVID season, but I guess I'm in the minority there then!
