Can't tell you how much I look forward to your Taskmaster reactions - a true fan, and ready to comdemn and compliment in equal measure. Keep up the good work :) Oh, and Mike undermining the vole is just a moment of comedy genius.
The vole just sat there and said nothing to defend itself, proving that it does, indeed, have no chutzpah. A vole with chutzpah would have stood up for itself.
Just want to say I love how quickly you're getting these videos out! To quaff something basically means to consume it, and a vole is a tiny rodent that lives in the UK.
not a native speaker so im interested, in my imagination to quaff would require some sence of urgency but i have no idea thats just form the sound, basicly my question is, am i right that romeshes watermelon eating style would qualify as quaffing but joshes wouldnt? and furthermore would quaffing rewuire a style that has some animalstic elements because then i can just translate it to german and i think i udnerstand :P
@@JohnDoe-xz1mw yes, to quaff does require a sense of urgency. I don't think either Romesh or Josh's attempts at eating watermelon would be classed as quaffing though because I've mostly heard quaffing used in the context of upper-class people drinking sherry or port, so I think there's an element of decorum involved too. TBH it's a word that hardly gets used nowadays so I'm not 100% certain what qualifies as quaffing and what doesn't.
As a native speaker, I only know that word because pressing `q` (for "quaff") is how you drink potions in nethack, presumably because the letter `d` was already the key binding to drop things.
They very much have a test team - largely production crew, but I think they bring in some outsiders as well (Tim Key and Phil Wang come to mind). Not so much to look for all possible loopholes, as to check the basic practicalities, and the obvious stuff that only comes out when you actually try something for the first time.
who is willing to bet me that adams favoruite series is going to be series 9? any takers? im so confident after this that im willing to give quite the spread...
well based on this information i am going to predict that your favourite series of all time is going to be series 9, not my personal choice but from what i have gathered of your tastes..seems like a sure bet
"You've got no chutzpah!" lives rent-free in my brain.
Everyone remembers "Absolute Casserole" but "You've got no chutzpah!" is my favourite Mike quote

@@JohnDoe-xz1mw Quaff usually means taking a large drink of something. "He took a mighty quaff of beer."

Per Pratchett, quaffing is like drinking, but you spill more.
I just started season 16 and I'm loving the cast so far, I really enjoy revisiting the past seasons with your commentary!!
I’m always so glad when I sit down for lunch and see another one of these reactions is up. 😁
"Some of these live tasks could go wrong" - There's a reason they call the stage extension The Knappett 😂
what a saying, "let's
just re-babushka some shit" to describe ramming together the remnants of a Sunday roast or takeaway the day after lol

"all right Troy McClure" that was quick.😂😂😂
Have a listen to the off menu podcast (hosted by Acaster & Ed Gamble) when Alex Horne was a guest,he's got the most bizarre taste in food.
mike is a nutter and charlotte is beautiful, thats all.
I find myself quoting Mike Wozniak so many random times, but “You’ve got no chutzpah” has to be the one I’ve said the most.
T is the second most used letter in the English alphabet. So there is almost no way to say a sentence without using the letter T.
I wasn't looking at the screen and initially thought you were talking about a Jayson Williams jersey. Almost platzed.
6.27am and I'm craving some nice fresh bread with proper butter, that bread Charlotte used looked delicious! 🤤
Babushka dolls are Russian -- gazpacho is Spanish cuisine.
I'm pretty sure Jamali was trying to say his meal was a "Full-Day Setup", but it was too much for the closed captioning to handle.
did you react to brewstews 90s toys video? i couldnt find your reaction to it so im wondering
I have no idea why they don't know the name "Matryoshka". XD
Yeah, sometimes they're called "Babushka Dolls", which is really weird to me. Rarely I see a matryoshka depicting an old grandma.
