    I did a lot of research on the history of the Thai system of telling the time before created this VDO, I'm glad I explained well.

    Fascinating! Had no idea that the words came from the sounds of the drums etc. Really nice lesson :)

    ขอบคุณมากครับ... one question.. .in my Pimsleur Thai course from 1 to 3 pm they say: บ่ายหนึ่งโมง, บ่ายสองโมง, บ่ายสามโมง Is that acceptable? Or is it preferred to use your method?

    • @learn2speakthai
      @learn2speakthai  10 лет назад

      บ่ายหนึ่งโมง, บ่ายสองโมง, บ่ายสามโมง in Pimsleur are the longer version of บ่ายโมง, บ่ายโมง, บ่ายโมง in my VDO. These 2 system are the same.

    11.00AM is usually sip et mong whereas 10.00 is sip mong chao. This id because 11.00AM is not early morning and is closer to lunch time. 😊

    Very useful information making learning much easier.
    How to ask about time?
    How to say "What is the time now?"

    • @SeintDirk
      @SeintDirk 7 лет назад

      U should to say "ตอนนี้เวลาเท่าไหร่ (Tdon nee weh la tao rai); This sentence's rarely used" or "ตอนนี้กี่โมง (Tdon nee gee moang)" or "ตอนนี้กี่โมงแล้ว (Tdon nee gee moang laew)".
