    what a time to be alive. I imagine many people are salivating thinking of re-processing years of old data

      Yes! I have a long list of old data that is waiting to be reprocessed now, lol.

    Speaking of lower end gear, last year I shot the whole nebula season with a premium 152mm/900mm fl Achromat in 3nm narrowband, 294mm and cheap Svbony reducer. The proper reducer was back ordered by 4 months and by that time galaxy season rolled around and I decided to move to a 10 inch newt. Messing around with the new blur X everything looks amazing from the achromat. 6 inches of cheap? glass :P.
    I can share data from both scopes if you'd like any. Still recommending the 10in. Newt! Things a BEAST in light gathering and star HFR is routinely significantly tighter than the AT115EDT. Collimation still holding strong after four months of use. Mount/dismount after each session..
    Nice vid!!

      Very interesting.. do you by chance have any RGB data from the Achromat? Would be interesting to see how bxt handles the color correction in that scenario. Good news on the collimation.. that's reassuring. Yea.. I'd be interested in taking a look at the data, drop me an email to google drive or something like that. CS!

    Great video, James. Until this past spring I was shooting mainly with a Hyperstar rig, which resulted in some unusual star shapes. If its collimation was even slightly off (as is generally the case), BlurX v1 interpreted the resulting aberration as a double star and interpolated extra "companion" stars into my images. I've run some of my old Hyperstar data though BlurX v2, and it is much better! I'm very impressed. Between BlurX 2.0 and GraXpert's new AI (and PI integration), it's another great Christmas season for amateur astrophotographers. Clear skies!

      Nice! Good to hear that it's working with your hyperstar data now :)

    I used to use lightroom 3 to remove blur, very simple.

    Excellent overview James👍Wow, I was already a fan of BXT, but it looks like the new version has taken things to the next level. The correction on the Rokinon stars defies belief😲

    • @DSOImager
      @DSOImager  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yea.. it's pretty unbelievable. I was considering using my 533 with the Rokinon lens due to the bad stars. Might not be needed now :)
