A lovely machine, but 50k and payments from £200 per week? Correct me if I am wrong, but average London cabbie earnings are 40k? Take 10k for the car payment, plus maintenance, insurance, fuel etc and that has to be 20k just to run the car?
Any specific reason Volvo‘s holding offers different car brands for different purposes? I understand why Japanese and European car manufacturers create new brands for the US as it’s a different continent market, but Volvo is split by other criteria, i.e. e-cars (Polestar), taxis (LEVC), etc.
@@ParkersTV well, it's says In Depth Review so I'd have liked a proper road test like your others. What's it like to drive ie handling, comfort, steering feel etc. More shots of the inside with the driver. What's the heating and ventilation like. Visibility. Storage space. It's there a boot? 0-60 or acceleration would have been fun. Like I said, a road test. It's a rare insight into a £60k car that for most, will never know about.
They've always been expensive at any given time regardless of model type. Think about it, they are either purpose built for the job or if it's a conversion like the Mercedes Vito (based on the Vito van) and the latest fully electric one the Nissan Dynamo (based on the Nissan EV200 van) it costs a fortune for those conversions as they are virtually rebuilt.
Oh lovely! The bottom line for a taxi operator is, it’s a fkn rip off! A car where you don’t own the battery, and YOU have to pay £20k to replace it out of warranty! Aye right, gimme two!
Ramps for wheelchairs are a joke and should have been banished years ago you need to be a power lifter to push some of the lard arses into the cab. A vehicle with a tail lift saves the drivers back AND the dignity of the wheelchair user this car is wank for not incorporating some such device.
A beautiful machine a perfect purpose built Taxi lovely to drive I love them
*Great for City Transport as long as rapid Charging Points made available at 'waiting points'*
Maybe can export to Malaysia, Geely to own Proton.

That’s because Volvo brought by Chinese company Geely, and Geely owns LEVC, Polestar, Lotus, Lynk & Co. that’s why.
Beauty Caaaaaar
All Manchester tx are without sunroof
And without the front "turning circle" and therefore much cheaper.
The Best London Taxi
Missed opportunity to show more detail of a car that's had a lot of development. Lots of waffle.
What else would you like to have seen, Peter?
