I’m curious about handicap access to the rooms. I understand there’s ECV parking on the “decks”… I’m curious if they are not allowing them to be all around the hotel areas? Also can people in ECV/Wheelchairs do all the missions or are you limited to only some things?
Tom, see if turning off all of the lights in the room would help the window “Out to space” film better. I’m guessing with all the lights, any coming from the camera, and then the window screen, the camera cannot figure out what to do. Where to draw the light from, capturing the reflection, focus on etc. worth a try 😉
Your video makes the rooms look much better than it seems based on previous pictures and they do have some nice “in universe” touches with the towels and so on. Also nice to know the bunks are bigger than they look.
So far I haven't been able to see a good shot of that window on video its always so reflective and looks really bad, I imagine it looks great in person though
Interesting that this room did not have the pull down bed under the TV. Every other standard room shown had that pull down bed. I just figured they all did.

You're there for 1.5 days, 2 overnights. Why would anyone use the closet? Do they really think people are going to unpack? If anything they should just have a suitcase/bag storage area. Maybe rolling shelves so you can roll it out, get stuff out of it, and roll it back in to save space in a small room like that.
@@WDWNT Good point. Outside of a suit for weddings and funerals, I don't own anything worth hanging, so it didn't occur to me. Still seems weird they don't have space to store bags. Guess the bunks work if less than 4 in the room.

Honestly the rooms are the most 'star wars' feeling part of the entire hotel. Shame the toilet and faucets are just generic looking, like they got them from home Depot. But I will give credit where credit is due, the rooms are shockingly well themed to starwars.
On the TimTracker video I think he showed there was another bed that pulls down from the wall at foot of the main bed, similar to what is found in many of the Disney World rooms.

Love the lights and theming of the bunk beds but beyond that.....eh. I want to love this, I really really do but the price and the final product seems mismatched.
Here's the biggest issue I keep hearing about the room, "You won't be in it that much." with that said, some of us like somewhere other than a wardrobe in the entry, to store clothes and whatnot. Also, The corner where all the luggage is, would it literally have killed disney to put an extra seat there? Like, there was literally, no thought, other than what someone might buy put into this.
It's surprising to see a toilet without bidet/seat warmer/etc controls in such an expensive hotel room. Clearly I've been spoiled by living in Japan, where we have those practically everywhere.
I've heard a lot of complaints about the rooms being small but I think they are fine and look great. Could they have made them more 'Star Wars'? possibly but I think they did a decent job. I wish there was more rooms of this size at other resorts for a more affordable price, kind of like the Riviera studios that are even smaller than this. Allows people to have a more affordable room on property, and if you are spending tons of time in your room while at Disney World you are doing it wrong anyways.
You started the video by saying this was your friend’s standard room. But you’re staying in a one bedroom. When will you show the tour of your one bedroom suite? So far I haven’t seen any videos on those large rooms.
It’s much roomier than our stay aboard a Celebrity Cruise Line. We were a family of four, and all four bunk beds folded out from the wall. Smaller than a twin I thought. That Halcyon bed was probably the size of the actual bedroom we had.
I’m not into Star Wars and therefore not the target market so I am not surprised that I am underwhelmed by the value here. They have figured out a way to get people to pay Ultra Premium prices for dinky hotel rooms with furnishings built from the cheapest materials. I know it’s all about the theming and all of the experiences. All of that stuff had better be perfect.
I just want to see what will happen if anyone shows up in federation uniform from Star Trek...I wouldn't spend $6000 to do it but I expect it will happen soon enough.
WDW would be fine; like leaving the "group" to go on rides (Tower of Terror? Slinky Dog . . ). It's your money; can dress and do what you please. Just be missing the point of what you shelled out all that money for.
That retractable table right under the window really raises a question for me about how thick the outer hull is supposed to be, or at the very least how far it would appear to extend beyond the viewport. Unless there's clearly a thicker hull surrounding the window that isn't apparent in this video (because of reflections and such), then the table when not in use would seem to be pushed out into space. That kind of gives the game away as far as the illusion of this being a starship. I mean, since IRL that's just a wall housing AV equipment for the window and probably has some depth to it, taking advantage of the space for retractable elements is an efficient design from a hotel room perspective, but it's bad role-playing.
