Another lesson learned from SF5: the "you must guess" and "just take the throw" memes arose because most people DO NOT enjoy that style of grappler play.
The medals are just a really interesting take on the "don't get command grabbed by the grappler". You're not only scared of the damage, but you're scared of how fast the character will scale into the following rounds, so you're both playing this side objective where not only do you want to win the round but you're trying to keep her from landing grabs in the process, and Manon trying for the opposite obviously. I feel like the extra level of "Oh no, I got grabbed" from Manon giving her another medal level makes her extra potent as a tournament character.
It reminds me of how Blazblue’s Azrael marks you with a weapoint when he hits you, which increases his threat level and adds more layers to the high/low game. Once you get to level 5 there’s so much pressure on you to jump. It’s gonna be scary af.
Whats more scary about it is she will be strongest in a tie breaker than a sweep because youve played more rounds. so either she sweeps or gets stronger in the clutch
Yeah you would think someone like lucky Chloe or Lili from tekken could have something like that. But I looks like it's an arcatype they're trying out with the new Lili on tekken 8 since she adopted the kazama style into her move list.
