“I just realized 20 seconds ago that its not down down kicks. Its just down kicks.” Sajam over here overexecuting like a boss putting us all to shame XDDD
I don't know if you know how helpful this video is. Jamie is probably the most intimidating character to try to learn in Street Fighter 6 because he requires basic reading comprehension: a skillset that most players, myself included, just don't have. You just hit a point where you're three drink-specific target combos into reading what Jamie can do and your brain goes "Or we could just go play Honda"... so it's nice to see everything laid out in a way that's easy to understand.
Small note on level 3 followups in the corner for anyone interested in picking up Jamie: for one drive bar & one drink level build combos, DR tensei kicks -> jHK -> sweep TC can be inconsistent/hard to time the first hit of sweep so if you're in the corner DR crHP -> light palm -> sweep TC is a more consistent option!
Not only is it way more consistent, it also does more damage! It should be everyone's go to in the corner in my opinion, no real reason to spend more resources if you're already getting a ton of damage and a drink level
@@austingoyne3039No, if you do everything as early as you can the light palm should hit very late in the active frames which lets you pick up the juggle
Exactly as Nether said! I like having this route instead of just doing OD palm every time because it's way less expensive on drive while also being just as consistent and still doing okay damage. It's very cost effective. Plus the meaty palm looks so cool lol
super important tip about super 2 that people may not know, using it resets your drink counters if you weren’t already at level 4, so using it at round start or to close out a round is the best option, or you’ll be punished for it.
VERY important to note for OD palm giving "easy drinks". Every character can punish the 2nd drink if it hits from a cancel, only in neutral when hitting late will it be 2 drinks against most of the cast. Some can still punish anyway though. For luke for example the punish for OD palm into 2 drinks is DR into slightly delayed 5HP. Will always work and give huge damage. The way Jamie plays around this if the opponents know the punish is to only take 1 drink and IF the opponent backrolls add another manual drink for 2 drinks. If the opponent doesn't back roll you can go for oki with a DR after the first drink.
When I met Jaime in WT mode I realized his drink seemed hallucinogenic not alcoholic, and Blanka tells him they got mushrooms in the jungle that do the same as his drink in his win quote, lol.
"That's supposed to be DP every time" I feel that, supers in this game seem to slip out all the time if your inputs aren't airtight. The good thing is you can just pretend it was on purpose.
This was super helpful, I don’t get a chance to play much so I’m lacking the time to grind in training mode. Jamie is so fun to play but I’m not use to his play style at all.
If you're in the mirror match you HAVE to start the round with trying to juice straight to level 4 and if they hit you they're a fake Jamie and must be punished.
I always have problems with characters that have somewhat unorthodox movement in their attacks and he's the epitome. I think he's underrated, but I also think there's no bad characters in the game so even if he's bottom he's not bad. I'm slowly warming to possibly playing him for a bit to learn... I have already played more characters in this game than any I've played before and I wouldn't mind learning more about him that way. Blanka too! I've heard he's quite fun from a devious twitch streamer.
The range on his normals is too short or slow for him to be top tier. He's solid middle of the pack. His only really far reaching normal is 5HK and it's slow as fuck at 15f. If it went over lows it would be really strong but they removed that property for full release. It used to be a lot better. It's still good but not this god move that some people think. 15f is really not great for its properties. His 5MK being 10f and still getting outspaced by other similar moves means it's purely a counter poke. Jamie really struggles with not having good pokes but his counterpokes are really strong. It's a huge weakness in several matchups but the counterpokes make others much better. If his matchup spread was better he could maybe be close to the top but as it stands right now, just a solid all rounder character that's below the top and above the bottom. He has some really good tools but most of them are really situational and require you to play the player much more than other characters do. Edit: Also a lot of his stuff that people think is super strong is actually not real. Biggest example being OD palm into 2 drinks as a combo ender. He NEVER gets 2 drinks against any character in the game. The solution is to simply not backroll and do DR into button. Some characters can even punish it from neutral. Jamie plays around this by doing OD palm into 1 drink and if the opponent fucks up and backrolls, then he adds the 2nd drink manually. If they don't backroll the Jamie can go for oki with DR after the first drink.
Jamie cmd grab is the most useless garbage in the game omg😂. The scaling is nonsensical, you're a 1000x better off throwlooping i swear. The risk-reward is so bad omg I'm not eating a neutral jump HP over that weak ass cmd grab no sir😮
@@Korinengamecorp Capcom announced the Rashid update will include a method for you DRC by just inputting MP+MK. as long as it doesn't cause accidental cancels (or includes the option to disable the shortcut, like with negative edge) I welcome it as a stick player. Shin Jamie is when his girl leaves him and he replaces the "herbal shit" with moonshine
his girl is luke
Him and Ken drinking the same shit at that point
mans drinking that Bo' Rai Cho blend

Yeah, definitely not alchohol *WINK*.
It should be noted rekka 1 in level 4 is plus 1 on a burned out opponent. Not a situation that comes up often but a good one to know.
Jamie is the type of character where you have to know shit like this to win
Jamie reminds me of ma highschool sweetheart, she would always drink n hit me too. They both also remind me of Yun, cuz of the tank tops
Luke: Jaime….This is a intervention your drinking it’s become a problem
Jamie: Duuuuude i swar itz just my fambily's fbermented her*hic*bal tee
Thats right, im no alcoholic, its just the sigma jamie grindset

Does anyone else feel like they game misreads/eats inputs? In training i can get a DP kick but other times it throws out Breakdance instead
end your DP input in Down + Forward while inputting Kick.
for Breakdance, end the input in Forward + Kick.
i hear that if you do a hcf motion instead of a qcf you can get breakdance more easily
A lot of people, even pros, are complaining about weird inputs in SF6
Omg thank you for making this Sajam, I love Jamie but I really don't know how to play him.
