I'm a British Black woman who unexpectedly met an Indian guy (born & raised) at the end of last year and he's really impacted my life in such a great way with his beautiful spirit. I've honestly never met someone so sweet, kind, caring, understanding and so freaking handsome. He treats me so well and I appreciate him so much for it. He doesn't even realise how lovely he is, which makes me want to care for/support him even more ❤

I'm married to an Indian man from Mumbai, I love being married to him, we just had Anniversary 17 years we been married, Took good care of him when he had Covid back in March. We met when I had to get my mom Cigg's from a gas station and Raj happen to be working at the time there, We talked and we clicked our love story began, and continues with love for each other, We love going to Indian Temples and going out for Indian food we, Live in Orlando Florida we was shocked to see so many Indian restaurants, and Temples oh the temples are so nice and pretty, We just celebrate Ganesh birthday and can't wait for Diwali. He took eats with his hand sometimes he use fork in restaurants, I tell him no worries about anyone else that it's ok to be yourself, I even use my hand to make him feel secured to be himself. We have good understanding to each other.

IN INDIA DATING IS USUALLY AVOIDED UNLESS BOTH GUY AND THE GIRL ARE SURE THEY LOVE EACHOTHER
MOST INDIANS DON'T CONSIDER HOOKUP CULTURE SO THEY WAIT UNTILL THEY GET A PERFECT PARTNER THEN SPEND THEIR ENTIRE LIFE WITH HIM/HER TO AVOID FUTURE DIVORCE AND MISUNDERSTANDING
SO LOOK OUT IF HE AND YOU REALLY LIKE EACH OTHER AND CAN HAVE PROPER UNDERSTANDING FOR LIFE 👍

    • @yashrng8066

There are reasons why Indian men are not good with dating. Well Indians specially men grow up in inferiority complex specially if u are desi(not wester/modernized). If u cant speak English, no one values u. Thats the reason Indian men lack confidence coz hierarchy of western modernism is taught to us right from childhood. Thankfully thats slowly changing now.

One little note about eating with hands - we wash our hands thoroughly with soap before *and* after eating - after all, you wouldn't eat with dirty silverware, would you? And after eating because you don't want greasy hands! :-) Many that are new to eating with hands don't think about washing beforehand, and may just use a napkin to wipe afterwards. For flatbreads like Chapathis and crepes like Dosas, it makes a lot more sense eating with hands than silverware.

I agree there are many food items it makes more sense for and since meeting DJ I have really enjoyed eating with my hands on more occasions. We definitely like to wash before and after but I embrace the mess during… only because I don’t have the technique down 😂

I will say as a Canadian, this is mostly true what you have said. As someone who doesn't have close ties to India as I have been brought up in Canada as well as born in Canada, I will say that where I live in Canada, most people from India do live together and this is quite common in Brampton.
Personally for me, I am more westernized than anything else. I do find many people internalize what other people think and there is a lot of comparing but it's great that you had a great support group. I think you and your husband are awesome people. This came up for me to watch and I really enjoyed watching these videos.
I wish you such a happy marriage. Also, I am on the Autism Spectrum and I struggle with dating as well and making friends. I like to see more videos but my recommendation I think would be on how to navigate and educate people who are on the Autism Spectrum because I think more people would appreciate that.

Really appreciate your video where you have given a very nice, caring, positive and understanding viewpoint on Indian men😊😊..great to know that your husband is a very admirable and supportive person and it is indeed very lucky to have such a person around as a family member... As an Indian person I had some thoughts on the points you mentioned:
    1) eating with hands: while many Indians eat food with their hands, however this practice is relatively more prevalent in South India where staple meals involve rice and very liquid lentils..eating with hand makes it easier to take in this mixture.. furthermore hands are more hygienic than fork/spoon which is used by multiple people..furthermore I have personally observed many westerners I.e. Americans and europeans eating food like burgers, pizza and sandwiches by hand as it is more convenient.. so hand eating is not uniquely peculiar only to India...it depends on type of food and convenience...
    2) family and friend fraternity/bonding is indeed very strong in India as our nation is more relationship/people oritented.. materialism is not the main pursuit of many Indian people as it is understood that life is ephemeral and all material wealth/possessions do not go with a person once he/she is dead...whereas American culture is materialistic and emphasizes greater importance of materialism and therefore people/relations are not that important there as it is in India..
These were some of thoughts.. I am flexible for disagreement on this..however I would make a disclaimer that I have no intention to deliberately offend/injure sentiments/feelings of anyone..

Eating using hand is better than using utensils as a person can ensure that he/ she is having as per the level of sanitization they want. Because when we eat in restaurants then we generally don't aware that whether utensils are cleaned up to the standard or not. Even that is why traditionally Indians use and dispose type of plates.

Eating with hands is an Option ! I am in the Medical Profession ! Most Health Care Professionals do not like to eat with hands as we are required to Scrub and Santize when we have contact with Patients ! Since I am a Surgeon I have to take extra care that even with Double pair gloves we are going internally into the Human Body -being a Sterile Environment ! So it is a Matter of Choice and Hygiene ! So not everyone is under the Compulsion to eat with Hand and Finger - especially K.F.C. which is "Finger LIcking Good " !!! Hee hee and the Ocassional Donut !!!

It is so good to know our good qualities which I never knew we had.
Likewise I/we also love so so many great qualities that Americans have. But we rarely put these observations in words. But in our hearts we love so many good things about you. That is why Indian husbands care about their partners.

I agree with all 1 to 4 points and find it odd myself as an Australian lady but in regards to number 5 supportive yes and no! What I really struggle with is that he reminds me of all the negative things that happen on a trip to India rather than the positive ones. I tend to forget unpleasant experiences on trips and try to focus remember the nice times but find Shakir reminds me many years later after I’ve long forgotten about it and that’s a really annoying trait in Indian culture🙏
