Rocking the side eye, Jana! 😂 How nice to see such a warm friendship…even separated by the miles. I have the yarn (white and golds) for the glittering snowscape shawl but will wait until I’m done with the Mahina sweater. Always fun to watch you both, dear ladies.

I just love visiting with you ladies💜🤎💜🤎 I used to live in Virginia Beach, Va. (we moved to the country about 15 years ago) When you were talking about the eclipse and how towns became inundated with "tourists/solar voyeurs" it reminded me of how cheated we felt in the summertime. Locals had to put up with humongous crowds of vacationers at the beaches. We couldn't just go enjoy a summer outing at our normally peaceful beaches. Anyway, we had a local shop that sold bumper stickers that read; "You've seen our beaches, now go home." They were a local source of amusement. Bless you both in your busy endeavours and thank you for taking the time to brighten my day. 😊

Thanks Jana and Anne. We were in totality here where we are in Arkansas. All we had to do was go out into the yard to view. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity so even though you had battle traffic I’m you got to experience it.

Hah! Emotional Support Chicken… ready to start the neck. I saw alllll the pics/vids of this Garter, garter, garter… went to deep deep stash with various acrylic yarn and yup! I can’t find yellow, but I’ve got some cotton worsted yellow, which will work just fine. I “thought” I had some safety eyes, but can’t find them. I also can’t find an online shop that has them (don’t really want to use amazon…). I might have small round buttons (half globe shaped) I can use.
So much fun to knit!

Late to this party but loved it all! I made a Fair Isle chicken a couple years ago for my science teacher DIL. She's named "Miss Frizzle" after The Magic School Bus teacher. 😊 Happy travels and trips!
