I really like the concept, but i would do decade differently.
Instead of doing just a random pick I would make him a shang tsung type character, he could use certain moves from other heisei riders that didn't make the roster, and he could transform into the opponent for a short period
i like that idea too!
I'd love to see this game take flight outside another generic Mugen mod
I was thinking the same. Either a Shang Tsung or Necrid from Soul Calibur 4, acting like a composite character that uses a combination of moves from other characters and their own.
The typical method is to have the player select 3 Kamen Riders to copy when selecting him from the character select screen
To build on this some... You could honestly use Diend instead as the 'mimic' character you added since he'd literally summon Riders. I'll add a thought of my own for you in a different comment.
You know Power Rangers got one so I don't see why not for Kamen Riders.
I kinda surprised Double/W wasn’t mentioned they can act as a Stance change characters where main gimmick could be to change each of the halves like (Cyclone/Luna/Heat) and the other half (Joker/Trigger/Metal) like so many combinations to do combos on
We felt they were too similar to build out of the gate, but they were in the first round of DLC

It's honestly strange there isn't a traditional kamen rider fighting game yet. Not to mention how alot of the riders can be adapted in a fighting game sens
I think for stages you could do
- DGP lobby
- Igarashi bath house
- sword of logos base
- Arutos office
- the Cafe from build
- The fruit bar from Gaim
- Den-liner
Also I think you could do an Injustice thing whre almost each stage has 2 locations

A bit tongue in cheek but I'd love to have the Toku Quarry/Warehouse as a stage. In a way, they're just as integral to the locales of Rider as any specific locations (Fuuto, DenLiner, Shocker bases, etc.)!
The easiest berserker-style fighter you could put in the game would be Amazon (showa). I'm imagining somewhere between MVC Wolverine and Spider-Man (especially the maximum spider ultra). Granted, given his fighting style, he's probably more welcome in a fighting game with violent finishers
We actually made him the part of DLC season 1! We had the same idea!

“Musou style” shows Memory Of Heroez a DMC styled game and not actually Battride war the actual Musou style game, but seriously cool idea.
Also different stances for different users of the same suit which can be selected in the Character Select screen
For example:
IXA Jiro has a more wolf-like set of attacks,
IXA Otoya has brawling and streetfighting.
IXA Kengo has a puroresu moveset with a bit more flash
IXA Nago and Megumi wields the sword but differs in swordplay styles
For stages you’ll have a lot of secret bases. Shocker, Smart Brain, ZECT, Foundation X, Gorgom, etc. most of the stages could be these and they could all have cameos of major villains like The Great Leader of Shocker or the Utopia Dopant.
For Gaim, instead of the Yggdrasil building, I think the stage should be Helheim.
Fuuto needs to be a stage of course. The quarry that is in everything of course.
GENM Corp and Hiden Intelligence for some non secret base interior stages that could have transitions to the outside or roof.
Every city stage should also have a mirror variant to reference Ryuki.Could be selected if you hold down an “R” button to enter Ryuki mode. Lol
The snow fields from Kuuga’s final battle would also be a good stage for something that isn’t a city. Along with forests for Hibiki or beach sides for Faiz or Blade. And a stage on, or next to, the sky wall from Build.
DGP from Geats could also add a lot for details into the stages. Like a red field of energy surrounding the stages.
I find it kinda odd that W isn’t in the base roster. But it’s still very solid. I’d love to see Gattack, Den-O, Black, and Amazons
We felt w and build played too similar for the smaller roster, plus that's guaranteed sales for dlc since they are so popular!
This is an amazing idea! I've wanted one ever since I started watching Kamen Rider, so this is like a dream come true!

For stages I would go with the stadium from 555 Paradise Lost, that area where the liners go in Den-O, Castle Doran, in between worlds from Decade, the castle from the Wizard movie, Helheim from Gaim, one of the Sword of Logos bases from Saber, the top of the Fenix skybase, and the Jyamato garden and the location where the Goddess is from Geats.
Another idea that I think would be fun is a customize feature where you get to make your own Rider like in Soul Calibur
I think good DLC picks would be
Amazon or Shin(The 90's movie Shin) - More rushdown, Berserker, brutal gameplay style. Fast and hard hitting but maybe lacking in wake-up options and defense or even health
W - Another stance character, simply put. Maybe a Fang install but definitely an X-Treme install
Wizard - Plays like Dr. Strange in MVC3 using various magics for zoning gameplay and tricky set ups
Geats - To keep it simple, he only has Boost/Magnum but can revolve for unique attacks
Also I think an alt costume for Ichigo that makes Nigo the main rider would be good. He could easily get a buff Ghost form, too
Kamen Rider Meteor as a rush down type character would be cool. Most (not all) games usually insert their character that pays homage to Bruce Lee. Since Meteor’s style is like that, would be cool to see. But looking forward to seeing how this project progresses! Good luck!

I almost feel like Decade should be more like Megaman from Smash Ultimate, where he'd have regular combos that just have him fight like himself, but then other special combos that have him change into another rider just for its duration before changing back to his standard form. The Mokujin play style would then work better for either Diend (where he summons a different rider each round while his character actually is placed in the background like Pokemon Trainer from Smash) or Oma Zi-O (using his ability to summon rider weapons to recreate their respective fighting styles)
I was actually thinking about how a good 2D fighting game for Kamen Rider would work too because I got into Kamen Rider recently (making it 2v2 also makes sense because 2 Kamen Riders worked together a lot in the original show)
I would have loved Den-o and have him be kinda like the ninja tutrles from IJ2 but he can swap between his forms it would also give some cool diveristy as you can do sword, axe, pole and gun. Perhaps have a timer or cooldown of sorts so he isn't overly broken?
Even just stances would work really well but a timer could play into ryutaro getting tired!

Kabuto ps2 has lots of things that make it good
-60 FPS even in 4player
-Fast and have decent defensive options
-Have to manually input your finisher and it can be stored before you hit it. Only works in clock up mode
Every other ps2 KR game
-Clunky and Rough
-Usually relies on high damage
-Harder to emulate properly.
I still think Kabuto ps2 is still worth checking out. Also check out super climax heroes for some mechanic ideas

lets face it , the secret final boss should be KM Genm Musou. he is the Game Master after all
I actually had an some interesting ideas on how to change forms,
1. kind of like the x factor from marvel vs Capcom based on the health of the characters they would have a chance to change to there "stronger" form , for example from high health build can change to sparkling, medium would be max hazard, low would be tank tank and rabbit rabbit, but seeing how not all the characters have a stronger form it might be a tad difficult
2. my other idea would be an different form by round, when the next round starts they would change to there upgraded form, and whoever lost the first round gets a slightly stronger form, idk I though it would be a fun way to get final form fights at the end
Zi O is missing for me since Ohma was messing the timeline
great video man really interesting ideas and i hope something like this does get made someday but also i spent literally the ENTIRE runtime stunlocked by how you said "MUZOW"

Kamen Rider Fighters Z Sounds Exciting
I have been tossing around a similar idea in my head, except as a platform fighter (Smash-like) rather than a typical 2D fighter.
I really like this concept tho. Personally as "DLC" I think one of the Amazons riders would be cool, Probably Omega. Berserker style, plus given its not a main season its a bit more deepcut than something like a W or Fourze Rep, albeit the level of violence an amazons rep would bring would have to be tonned back significantly.
We talked about him playing like black panther in mvci
I like thinking the idea of a Super Sentai guest character for the unlockable alongside the original Ichigo (maybe even make it so the base roster has Shin Ichigo while making the OG one with Nigo unlockable), kind of like easter eggs, maybe one of the newer like Donbrothers, Marvelous/Kaito so they can reference past Rangers or even just Akaranger. That or the more probable route: DLC characters. That'd be an interesting one too, the DLC road map.
Since the Power Rangers managed to get a pretty good fighting game with Battle for the grid, I hold some hope one developer would pick up the Riders for a FG one day. I really doubt it would ever be Arc Systems team red, but maybe team blue (The ones from Blazblue series) would do a nice job.
Spur of the moment thought but I think the launch stages could be sourced from Rider shows that don’t see representation in the game’s launch roster, mainly because the first thing that came to mind was the church the final few Riders gathered in during Kamen Rider Ryuki Episode Final XD

Also... I'mma offer my own thought here. In most fighting games i've seen, the 'Boss Character'/main villain of story mode is a hidden character you unlock. Here, since you mentioned Ohma Zi-O... wouldn't the proper boss chain be something like Zi-O -> Ohma Form -> Ohma Zi-O with Zi-O being the boss character rep? I'm not sure how he'd play, but it's something I wanted to highlight since your Sparking Blast goes in the direction of Ohma Zi-O. To go a step further too... for Mirror Matches you could do it one of two ways.
To not waste your initial Decade is the mimic character idea, one option is to have Violent Emotion Decade turn into the Rider on the Mirror Match. Another would be to play with the thought of Another Riders showing themselves to challenge their heroic counterparts (I suspect the Decade turns into the Rider is an easier option for Mirror Matches)
Tackle with the Stronger summon would be awesome
I think the final boss should be a fighter original, as is a sort of habit with these types a la 21. Make the playable version a 1st dlc exclusive. This game exclusive rider is a secret enemy that you cannot unlock post dlc release until you've beaten them in the story or arcade.
I'd say instead of decade being a random have him be in violent emotion form and have him be the android 21 of the game. Use his grab to collect attack ride cards from the cast members that he can use to temporarily use specials from the other characters
This is the best idea I have ever heard of. I actually hope that this becomes a big game. I would definitely buy it.just one question would u keep updating the game and just keep adding more and more kamen riders or would u make a separate game with different kamen riders than the other game?
I think with patches and updated you could keep making the same game bigger. Maybe even a 2nd assist only to have more characers

If i want to suggest something for a little change for the arcade boss or prior as a final boss. it would be kakogawa hiryu (Another Zio) since he's more fitting due to his character compare to ohma zio himself..
Phase 1 - Another Zio (gimmick: shang tsung'ing to another riders)
Phase 2 - Another Zio II (gimmick - Can summon 2 another riders as a mini boss character to fight.. kinda like one thing that onslaught did)
Phase 3 (No continue) - Another Ohma Zio
Phase 3 (with continues) - Another ichigo (Zio x Zero one movie) as a giant boss

Some DLC characters I would like would be shocker grunt , skull, shin, baron, amazon alpha, shadow moon, W, ghost, ouja, evol, and zeronos
Ghost will act a summoner kind of character where he uses the different ghosts like Jack-O or Nappa. Ouja will also be like this summoning the different contract beasts, but is more heavy
Shocker grunt will be the gag character having taunts and weird animations
amazon alpha and shin will be rushdown characters with very flashy attacks
W will switch between each of their forms quickly
Evol might have a hazard level system getting stronger the more hurt he is
VS dialog be like:
Faiz P1 - "I don't have a dream, But i assume you have one.."
Faiz P2 - "My dream is to make all the clothes clean.. (forgot the exact word from zi-o xD)
Faiz P1 - *Sigh* tsukasa, You messed the whole thing again...
This is a good roster,however i noticed a lack of kaijin,if they'll be saved for DLC i was thinking some good picks would be spider,chameleon and wasp from shin kamen rider for some SHOCKER representation
I feel fourze would be perfect because many of switches are easy specials and his super being form change … also getting killed by giant orange rocket is funny
First off LOVE THIS IDEA OVER ALL. But just a few nit picks. Skull or Double not being there is a sin only matched by having Exaid. But at least no deno or fourze. I would have also added Kabuto as a kinda Hit style fighter. Feels also weird to not have Shadow Moon as at least a non playable boss.
But I'm just passing through due to the youtube algorithm.
Okay i have an idea for a map
So its the crack at yggdrasil and its a progressive one where you do something specific for it to throw the players through the crack and into the field where we see scientists being attacked by inves and you can throw the enemy into the defences inside the lab as an environmental weapon
I think a new climax game would just be enoughly good
W as not part of the main roster is very strange.
Also now include Gotchard

Sounds like a grand idea, though it would be troublesome on how you would be able to incorporate rider forms
In my ideal world, you'd be able to switch into any canon form in the middle of the battle (assuming it doesn't use a different driver) though that isn't very realistic, and it would unfortunately most likely happen for special moves and combos without henshin sequences.
for stages uhhh the burning church from kuuga episode 2 (the one in the opening) the shocker base that kamen rider club space station you see in fourze the drive pit yeah that's all I got

If I were to do a Kamen Rider VS fangame... I'd use All Kamen Rider Generation 2 and Revolution for gameplay and moves. Simple but effective, and their gimmicks could still be used in an interesting manner.
you know if that whud happen i whud want my boy kamen rider demons to be a playable rider in this fictional game (in a perfect world we whud have something like "super climax heroes" were every rider from every series, or at least the most inportant ones whud be in this game)
I mean for DLC ideas i could bring:

Black Riders DLC: Bringing Double (W) Joker & GENM

Shooting Riders: G3X, Zolda, Delta, Diend

DUDE I WANT TO PLAY AS THE SHIN (the Anno one) CHARACTERS! I WOULD MAIN KUMO AUG! I so want this! It is similar to my dream of a Shin Japan Heroes fighting game. But damn, i would also love to see Evolt/Evolto there as playable. Would there be a lot of character dialogue like modern MK games and Fighters Z? one thing i disagree is making the Shin skins DLC, i think i would prefer them being unlockeable.
Well let just give reminder the ps2 version does battle kamir rider Also does have there own mechanism system game and storyline but is not bad cause there many versions battle 1 Vs 1.

Try to keep it to fighting game or fighting game adjasent characters. Phoneix Wright doesn't mesh well with Sol Badguy but Dante and Megaman X do.
Both companies normally do crazy small rosters, but I'm doing 32 for this. so 16 on each side.
We have to have SOME WEIRD PICK. That means some freaks or obsure characters.
I will allow Persona characters. More varity.

Im sad there was no kamen rider kabuto representation. I could see Kabuto being a teleport character similar to lost warrior in dnf duel. Have every hit mark a counter and at a set amount of hits just have Kabutos suit say "Clock up". And then you can freeze the opponent for a few seconds. And or course his level 3 would be Rider Kick.

My only disappointment with your concept is not truly solving the Mirror Match issue since nobody wanted to choose one character and the other is forced to pick someone where they never liked at all. If people would say just have them to use the same costumes the problem is not all people can truly pay attention or Toei being jerks that we can't make up other colors (due to potential lore issues) like on how Power Rangers solve the issue. This was an issue in Climax Heroes and Evil riders had different move sets that they were different. Nonetheless almost every idea is gold.

Well to me I wouldn’t like the idea to add like kamen riders as characters in like v3 And rider man kamen Rider gotcha X and Amazon
And probably black RX into the game
Also I will probably add kiva Ghost Ruki fours and kamen rider revice
And also changing the final boss to emperor shocker who is basically the culmination of every single kamen Rider Final villain
And one more thing I want to add a DLC for kamen Rider 1 and 2 And v3 next skins

I'm not a huge fan of the feel of mugen as an engine
But kamen rider climax heroes is a thing couldn’t it just be based off that in a similar way

Honestly from a moveset stand point I don't think Black should ever be in a game over RX. Don't get me wrong Black is a better show, but he's boring as ass to play as in Battride. And I know comparing how a musou clone did things to how a fighting game would, might seem off. But it serves to highlight just how limited the pool of stuff to draw from is, when it comes to a moveset for Black.
