Love the nonchalant report he got off at exit 33. Classic

That's the sort of thing that shows who's a natural leader. I don't know whether he heard something I didn't or just making sure all the team members were on their game.

Agreed. His comment of reassurance to the controller actually gave me goose bumps. 👍🏼😎

My hometown :) He is lucky it wasn't rush hour. The Southern State is notorious for it's traffic in that area, sometimes at all times of the day. Well done by him to stick the landing.

Same. Grew up in Long Beach. He got incredibly lucky with traffic.

There was another low altitude SEP engine failure recently (toronto?), controller started asking all kinds of questions that distracted the pilot. I really love this one from pilot and controller. Just "roger", no more. Brilliant. "Souls-on-board" could hv been useful, maybe atc was aware. Sometimes less is more, and this is one of those cases. Kudos to pic and controller

When doing VFR patterns in a controlled field when requesting startup you will state SOB and endurance so they have the info and they keep your strip since you are coming back for a touch and go.

2:00 I thought landing clearances were always the full callsign from both ATC and readback? But this is clearly shortened quite a bit.

Are you referring to the runway being omitted, instead of the callsign? Both of them do say 7AC although neither mentioned which runway, I noticed that too.
