Hi I'm trying to replace my burnt motor, any suggestions for replacing the window if you're not able to roll it up? That's the only issue i'm having.
Great video except for one thing. You guys are replacing a motor that works. So you can roll window up and down Most of us are replacing a BROKEN motor 🤦♂️

So I'm in this position right this second. Thinking of just using a metal holesaw to access those nuts on bottom of the window
Yea, that’s pretty stupid. Why would I be replacing one that works? I’m trying to figure out how to do this.
U can still reach the mount nuts hes talking about. Ur absolutely right tho, I'm replacing my broken motor not a working one hahaha but ya, it's a pain but u can get to those mount nuts with the motor stuck in the up position.

If your motor is dead and window up, unbolt the motor itself first, then window, then collapse arms by hand and remove. If window is down, force window up by hand and start from beginning. Once motor is unbolted from door it will move with window.

Hey thanks, I just needed the part to access the rail and reattach my window, driver side was still frozen the other day and yanked it off.
Do you think if I opened up the passenger side and got some spray lube all over the regulator it would speed up that side? It's always pretty slow.
Realize this is a bit older for a video..As mentioned below the replacement of a dead Motor and stuck window is not as easy as replacement of a working regulator. However, after I undid the Motor First as Suggested in one of the comments,. the rest was ok, However getting to the alignment was impossible as My window was stuck up {2 inch window gap_ would not drop down. So I tape the window up{prevent from falling} and then using a FLAT rachet with the 10m I was unable to reach up in the openings and undue the bolts {IT IS A BIT DIFFICULT BUT CAN BE DONE}. Simple suggestions for the Disconnect of the motor tabe, it would be helpful to show the connector and explain it. I was fortunate as I had a clear opening to see the connector except I had to review the video few times to see what the connection actually looks like to figure out how to unlock and remove. Just an opinon, otherwise your video helped out tremendously for a rookie with no Automatic Experience.
Nice work! But I don't understand why the new metal. My motor, I believe, is burned out so can't move the window.
Do any of you apply more butyl tape afterwards or does it have longevity after removal?

How about showing the steps when the window cannot be moved? Also, one on how to replace shattered glass (when the regulator is also fried? "Just lower the window a couple inches" does not work for most of us!

I need the cables for the master switch does anyone know that part?
If my window would go up and down with the motor, I wouldn't nee to change it. It is stuck in the up position and the lock doesn't lock or unluck with power.
What if your window is stuck down all the way???
What is wrong here is he is just showing you how to remove and replace the actuator arm and motor! That is not damaged! With another undamaged unit!
But,if the glass was shattered,that is all you need to replace,so,showing "how to release the clamp on the glass is fine", but remove and replace a good functional unit only shows how to do that, but in a unit with a fried motor, or bent retractor rod,that is a different story,since there is a spring in this unit,you can loose a finger or hurt your arm/ hand! Especially if the gears on the window retractor are worn or sheared off! Be careful here!
He does show you how to r&r the window retractor unit,which is what you want!
This looks like the same guy that does a 96 to 2001 RUclips for A1 Auto! Window repair!
