I think it was mostly scripted, sort of, maybe not written down exactly, but they agreed to say things that the band would react to to get some laughs, as judging from their slightly unnatural & over exaggerated/prolonged pulled faces

Why doesn't anyone pay attention? Of course James corden will do more carpool karaokes. However the bit will have an it's own series on Apple Music. There will be more stars on that so it does mean they have to be paid more which in turns means getting subscribers for Apple Music
