Great vid as always but would pull you up slightly of the 'Gambler's Fallacy' thing. That usually applies to fixed odds betting, not variable odds betting. Your example of the "due a win" was right in terms of a bad mentality but it doesn't encapsulate the problem with GF.
If I noted the last 1,000 spins of a coin and found 55% of the time it landed on Heads, that doesn't mean I have a 55% chance of winning on the next spin by betting on head; it's still 50/50. However, if Burnley have lost all of their last six games that does have an affect on the chances of them losing again.

Tipping feels impossible these days, even when I see something that sounds reasonable, within 10 minutes of it being posted the bookies have already cut the price and then (I presume) the value has disappeared and I keep my money in my (virtual) pocket.
Unless you have unlimited pets to keep taking the obvious value of bookie advertised boosts then the only way imo to make £££ is to get it quietly... Now, if only I had the skills to spot market misprices on the exchanges on a regular basis 🤦♂️

The one kind of tipster that I would like to understand better are those who avidly give free tips on forums etc. Yes I realise some are hoping to build up a following and then charge. It’s the others I’m curious about. Why give away your edge ? (Yes most don’t have one but they believe they do obviously) My theory is that betting on games in singles for the correct stakes is so tedious that only by making others aware of your bets is it in any way exciting. 🐤

Always welcome your videos Caan. It genuinely baffles me why so many people bet on Twitter tipsters, especially those like Andy Robson who never keeps track of his profit/loss and is an affiliate, putting his crappy tips on a link so he wins when people lose. Absolute mugs who follow him.
Because people are too lazy to do their own research so they blindly follow someone that mouths off. See anti-vaxxers as a good example of this - they'd rather follow some gobshite on Twitter's advice than experts. Same applies here. "Bad Man Betting" got big because of "challenges" they did and one was successful, so people jumped on the bandwagon. Got hundreds of thousands of followers now being milked for their awful picks.

On william hill they have a lot of double odds offers for exsmple kane to score bayern to win by 2 was 7/4 now 7/2 but if you put these in the bet builder yourself its generally closer to the 7/2 than the supposed 7/4.
This tactic is used across all sports the starting prices are lnowhere bear as low as the grnuine price is its a con.
Whats made me make this post is todays offer paul nichols to have a winner at Cheltenham today max bet a fivet 5/4 doubked to 5/2 so i stupidly had the fiver before looking at the cards and he had 2 runners a 5/1 and a 28/1 shot so obviously a terrible offer.
Then the 28/1 is announced as a non runner and their still advertising the bet and taking people's money for half the price the horse is running at.

There is no such thing as a professional gambler,it's bollocks,there are people who are luckier than other gamblers on average,that's supposed to be not true but it is true because I've seen it with my own eyes in gambling over 35 years,so no matter how clued up you think you are,nobody can accurately predict the outcome of an unknown,even pro poker players are still gambling ,if they were that good then there would be undisputed world champions but the nature of the game still has a good luck element to it.

They aren't gamblers, they're great at managing their balance. Everyone loses and wins, those that make more profit see the losses coming and prepare for it by betting smaller through the losing streaks, once you had those couple losses, bet more after that.
