I knew the business wasn't going to be as easy as everybody claimed it to be. Every Go high level affiliate marketer is making it seem as if this business model will be a breeze but this video clearly highlights a big pitfall most people aren't thinking about. I'm glad I watched this! thank you for making it! I now view the business more realistically rather than thinking "it's passive income" as every Affiliate marketer claims.
This video was so good. Selling a system gives you the opportunity to present your unique value propositions, and basically create a packaged offer. And that's important, because packaging your stuff into offers, will make it really hard to compare with others in the same industry.

Great video Mike. Now you got me thinking! I am about to launch a set of video tools to people, but with this new insight, maybe I have to give it a twist and focus selling those tools together with a system as you suggest to a specific niche. Have to give it a reall good thought now.
That’s definitely an option. It all depends on who your target avatar customer is. If you have unique tools and a big audience that needs them, then that’s typically a great opportunity (the software business). But if the software isn’t unique, or is still too hard for the market to use, or they don’t see the need yet, you may need to sell services with the tools to create a more complete offer.
Mike, this is just the video I have been waiting for!! My value proposition has become crystal clear participating in your courses. I love the big screen (no tabs!!) If you can give me the weather report next it would be appreciated. Jeff
Huh? I liked it, but not sure I understand what the take away is still though. I'll probably watch this vid again later. I have BGIM homework to get done for my last week.
Thanks for watching! The MAIN takeaway is that you shouldn’t just sell the SaaS as SaaS because that’s a commodity. You need to learn to pitch your own proprietary ‘system’ to stand out.
What I’m not understanding is why the model is receive less monthly income . Do you still have to run the ads / keep up with the accounts yourself even if they are integrated to GHL it’s a software that’s brings clients all these results yet you’re still paying $400+ as well as doing the work why not still charge the thousands a month ? For those of use who are starting from nothing what is the way we’re supposed to get into saas without firstly getting the payment from the customer and it being enough to cover the monthly cost plus the service fee
Hey there, thanks for the questions and for watching! HighLevel doesn’t cost you anything additional per customers, so you are only paying one flat fee per month for the software, then putting as many customers as you can on it. So it’s incredibly profitable. And the models I propose do NOT require you to invest in ad spend for you customers. So the service fee you are charging should be about 75% margin or more. A primary reason for creating relatively low priced services is that small business won’t stay long if you charge more (with rare exception), so you need to have a model you can profitably deliver at those lower prices.
@@MikeCoochRUclips okay great thanks for the reply , also a different perspective perhaps ,would you be able to charge more to include the ad services (more value ) and having that out sourced. the the clients is paying ad spend , they would automatically get charged the $97 a month for the software and they just need to pay you for the up keeping / set up of the software which would mean they are paying you for your time and effort (service fees) that it takes to set up and up keep everything on the software . from the service fee you can invest in outsourcing the ads to someone else and bring in great results for the client . Then they’ll have ads running while also having someone fully manage every service that comes on the software . Once you have enough money for the full upgrade agency account you’ll have all your clients under you . Or once you have enough money to have your own account you’ll be eligible to sign up for the affiliate program so every clients you get signing up for the $97 account under you will be adding to the affiliate link (40% affiliate revenue ) In doing so you’ll still be getting the $ for the service fee of what I explained earlier (I’m very new to smma so it’s more just an idea I’ve thought of ). Last point o wanna make is that small business a lot of the time are just starting out and have a higher chance of not wanting / being able to continue business with you if they don’t make enough . It’s better to go for high ticket more reliable leads who you know have the budget and don’t have the time so that’s where you come in . Also a lot of the high ticket clients have the budget to expand their business and need you to bring in more clients / customers for them. Again that’s where you come in .
Probably not necessary in most cases, but in some it definitely is. If you are in an industry with important data management restrictions like medical, etc.
Hey Mike, thank you for this great video! I like the way you breakdown the system as a service concept and how the value proposition completely changes. Do you think this would be a good model for gyms?
Whatever you do, don't use lead 2 client. The software is just too buggy and after 4 months I had to cancel my subscription for the second time. They dont keep their promises either. Horrible experience and total loss for me. Good luck to all. CRM's are mission critical for us agents, so choose wisely
@@MikeCoochRUclips Yeah me too man. I was excited because the platform is a great concept, and I would do similar if I was the creator. Only I would make it reliable, and intuitive. And I would not advertise features that I cannot support. Like their social media marketing integration section. They couldn't even tell me the proper resolutions for the adds, so their software could auto distribute to the different platforms as they advertise it does. Part of their automations and the power of the software. So I spend my time setting that part of the software up, only to find out they don't support it. They told me it was free so they basically were not accountable. And I was just SOL. Literally. And there are soo many other little glitchy issues you won't see until you experience. After over 20 years of working with small software companies as a systems integrator, I can tell you that lead2client is among the worst if not the worst I have ever witnessed. They are in over their heads, for sure. If the right person gets a hold of that company, it could be great.
I’m slightly confused so do forgive me. From my understanding, HighLevel is a tool used by marketing agencies to set-up and run campaigns for businesses right? And I believe you can also become an affiliate of them and sell the software to other agencies for a commission. Is this what you’re referring to? Or are you suggesting that rather than use this software as an agency, you actually provide the software directly to the client instead whilst proving them the necessary marketing campaign to operate the software?
The confusion is totally understandable! What I recommend is that you - as an “agency” - provide your customers with a combo of the software, done for them campaigns, websites, funnels, etc, and services to help them use it all in one package that I refer to as a ‘system’. Make sense?
@@MikeCoochRUclips oh okay I think so. So are you suggesting that rather than getting them set up and then continuing to run their campaign indefinitely, that essentially we design a campaign, install it using the software and then coach/consult with the clients on how they can use the software and run the campaign themselves? If that’s the case, would that not negate the need for the client to keep us on a monthly retainer once they’ve got it figured all out? Im sorry, i mean this in the nicest way but im still not sure what you are offering or recommending. Affiliate route + sell snapshots + services on top or are you recommending selling as an middle plan
No, not as an affiliate. I’m recommending that you offer a service to small business that includes software, marketing assets, and management services all layered together to create a complete marketing system for the customer.
I would recommend that you first do some freelance work to get some experience and save some money, then use the skills and savings to invest in starting your business.
Mike I didn't quite understand what you're saying. Are you trying to say that agency owners are directly competing with tool based software? And if yes, what should we do?
Yes, and too many agencies are out there trying to now just be a SaaS company when they don’t have the budgets or feature differentiation to compete. You need to add some ‘layers’ on top of the tools to differentiate yourself. Include campaigns and services specific to an industry, etc. Make sense?
@@MikeCoochRUclips Ohh okay so like , we shouldn't just provide the servicr helping them run ads but should help them in running ad campaigns which actually brings results and are unique to our agency. Right?
@@ryamsic well, you shouldn’t just offer them a tool to run their own ads. You should build campaigns, landing pages, and follow up sequences that are proven in their niche and deliver those - with management and reporting - as part of your ‘Growth System for X Industry’. So you are delivering the result, but without doing custom campaign development for each customer. Make sense?
So, say you build a website and set up the automatic text copywriting for a business based on go high level. Do you then leave it with them to continue the subscription without your input? Like, say you sell the service for 1000 to set it up. After that they only pay like 200 a month to just keep the software running. Is that the model?
That’s definitely an option, yes. You could also charge a little more each month and offer some degree of management of those campaigns for them - depending on the type of customer you are targeting.
Wow, Awesome Video Mike, I watched your video and choose my niche which is a system as a service for coaches & course creators, Do you have any reference website for me? Thanks in advance
Hey Mike great video, I'm thinking of utilizing GHL in my agency and upgrading to the SAAS model but incorporating some of its features such as chatbot, reviews, gmb & fb management into my over all marketing packages so I can charge them more. Do you think this would be a good idea vs just selling the SAAS on its own?
Yes Pat, I think that's absolutely the best approach for two reasons: it keeps you from competing head-on with other very well-funded 'tools' companies, and quite honestly the Highlevel platform is too complicated for 95% of small businesses to sit down and use on their own. You'll have much higher success by wrapping it in your services. Keep me posted if I can help!
Hey Mike, question: I'm starting to think for my niche it would be better to stay on the agency unlimited plan instead up upgrading to agency pro plan because I want to connect and interview my clients first before taking them own so that I know I can actually build something with them. I know that may be a different approach but I''m actually looking to recruit people into my very own business and help them learn how to market the business and so having that be automated kind of takes the interviewing process out of it. Hope I am making sense. Great content by the way, VERY POWERFUL delivery...
@@MikeCoochRUclips So let's just say for instance I have a membership based affiliate marketing community. And I want my members to use GHL to market and promote the community. It may be better to have agency unlimited plan so that I can manually pre-screen the people I accept as members vs saas mode will accept anyone who purchases the service...But I can see why most business models may not operate this way because the automation of saas mode is a great future for a number of reasons...Just want to see if you acknowledge that there are scenarios where the unlimited plan would work best for a specific business model over saas mode.
@@MikeCoochRUclips I hear you. But I mean more I'm screening them in the firm. I think I may have been confused about some things. If I get saas mode it won't be to promote saas mode it will be for the few extra features outside of saas...Like White labeled app and different analytic dashboard features etc...I'm really looking for people to market the same service/product as I do...
well if it is then can one build a funnel then edit it and export it to others if need beI was watching one video and it looks like a head ache to add a domain....I would be signed up by now if the freeking price was not a down sell instead of a upsell format like what were they thinking with the downsell ????
Loved this video Mike! One quick question - please can you elaborate on what this model actually looks like in practise? How does this look when using GHL and how do we set it all up? Also, would you recommend using UpHex (as this allows clients to run their own FB ads through GHL) OR offer ads as a 'done for you' service? Is it best for the client or the agency to manage the ad campaigns? Are there any other features we should include in our Growth System package, as well as landing pages, automations etc? What's the best price point for this? How does this model compare with Alex Hormozi's approach, with GymLaunch? They seem similar which is great! Any other tips on implementing this model would mean the world to me! Thank you sir.

Just bc there are a few large competitors doesn’t mean there isn’t still a market for (very successful) small to medium sized players. That’s like saying bc Krispy Kreme and Dunkin exist that there’s no point in opening up your own doughnut shop…that’s nonsense. And then you’re suggesting we provide software, services, assets, and leadership for half the price of providing just the services, aka agency in your model. So basically your answer is to just provide more for less $$$ and water down the market??? Oh hail naw, that’s hilarious 😂 🤦♂️

That’s definitely an option, yes. You could also charge a little more each month and offer some degree of management of those campaigns for them - depending on the type of customer you are targeting.
@@MikeCoochRUclips great! Thanks so much man.
You bet!
Wow, Awesome Video Mike, I watched your video and choose my niche which is a system as a service for coaches & course creators, Do you have any reference website for me? Thanks in advance
Yes if you get HighLevel through me or you invest in my Services That Scale Mastermind I have templates for you!
Mike... I really appreciate this video. THANK YOU!!!
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
Systems As A Service … so good!

Awesome this is good stuff
Thank you!
So worth it.
Indeed!
Brilliant video
Thank you!
Thank you for watching! I don’t completely understand, but that’s ok as long as you do! 👊
With SaaS mode you can still pre-screen them, just throw a survey process in before they are presented with the option to buy.
@@OvertIntelligence yeah I think that’s something that’s very misunderstood about SaaS mode - it doesn’t mean you have to sell strictly as SaaS.
LOVE it!
Thank you!
Remote System’s Integrator ✅
Yeah, that's a good way to describe one of the options for sure!
This is great. I’m going to do a video on my channel like this.
Thanks Jeff.
ok I thought that this was a funnel builder
It is - it’s a great one! But it’s much more.
well if it is then can one build a funnel then edit it and export it to others if need beI was watching one video and it looks like a head ache to add a domain....I would be signed up by now if the freeking price was not a down sell instead of a upsell format like what were they thinking with the downsell ????
Oh man, that’s a LOT to try to cover in a comment! Why don’t you try to come to my free Office Hours call on Friday and I can try to answer all of this for you. You can attend the call here on RUclips at: ruclips.net/video/CDut8yvzpzM/видео.html

Click bait
Sorry you feel that way. 1800 likes say differently though.
Mmm I like many others I know have decided to base my decision on join SAAS with consistent video repour & many follow ups. Wheres yours???
Sounds more like SAAS is a threat to you with jealousy tagged on your forehead.
🤣 that’s funny! Did you actually watch the video? 🤔
🤣🤣🤣 I think you may have misunderstood me. Come to one of my live calls and let’s discuss!
how come your website is no longer active? something went wrong?
What website? ServicesThatScale.com is my primary site. Still up. If you’re referring to digitalmarketinglab.io I shit that down because I hated the brand and the kind folks at Digital Marketer decided to sue me over it after 10 years of using it. Wasn’t worth the fight!
Great video! thanks
