Tanks tank even with watching your struggles it was midnight and hours into it (LOL) the web site was down due to mainteance so I hung it up for the night and got back in the next morning. Yeah I was able to pay and soon to get confirmation. Have a great one - subscribed!
When I renewed last year it was like getting teeth pulled without painkiller. The system was halfway broken in a couple of places, but I got a nice help desk person who helped me and sent an email with step by step instructions. Thank you help desk lady.

Or go to QRZ pay them to do it for you (last time i did it $8) and get a certificate. The real bonus is not haveing to go pick up your computer parts up off the front lawn and replace the window you threw it through due to the seriously aggravating, messed up, useless, and confusing Government system.
On the QRZ page if you go to the resources tab it will direst you to W5YI Licensing services. It looks like they farmed it out to someone else and it’s more expensive then I remember but it has been awhile. $80 in total, which includes the FCC fee and a print copy of the License. So an extra $40 more then if ya did it yourself.
If you forgot your FRN password and need to reset it; and who would have that 10 years later? It will present you with fields to fill out, i.e. First Name, Last Name, Social Security number, and Zip code to confirm. I kept on getting errors, when I knew I had everything correct. It turns out my ZIP code was an old one from 21 years ago. So if you run into that issue, try old zip codes. Sure enough when I looked up the address associated with that FRN, it showed a 21 year old address. Funny enough, if I looked under a ULS search for my license, it showed the last address I had entered. I took the opportunity to update the address.
How do you do it for a customer that doesn't know the login that has a business that uses radios . Other then the call sign and FRN. How to reset it and renew it for them.

i tried to renew for months on line. found a paper i could fill out and mail to the fcc. now 6 months latter …Nothing.

Try doing all that when your license has expired
if you do it within the 2 / maybe 3 years it would be the same process. After you have to start again.
