  • Demolished in 2018, the Boar's Head pub was a Ewloe landmark. As befits a once-cherished places of rest and recuperation, the pub's demise left a legacy of joyful memories. Stories of happy times, held long in the minds of the people who were there -just waiting to be re-told!
In this clip, filmed, on location during 2014, local community volunteer filmmaker, John Butler speaks to camera to tell of his plans to set down for the record some of the memories and stories of happy evenings spent in this community-focessed watering-hole.
A brilliant recollection of how The Boar's Head's very own Golf Society came into being was published in July 2024 by the Wales National Archive.
