    I think there are a great many concepts with this rig that will need proving before accepting. And many concepts will need adjusting. For example, perhaps a solar array on the roof can assist with charge extension. Overall I like the design and concept. Work space was always my nemesis while on a transport for 911 and GT. This appears to solve many of those. Time will tell, keep up the good work Demers.

    No range extender? That's a no-go then. What happens if the battery get's depleted?

      Hi Victor. Similar to ambulances today, crews will have to make sure they have enough gas (or power) for their transport. Innovative features such as conductive charging, or regenerative braking, could further extend the range without the need to plug in to a charging cable. It’ll certainly take some time to adjust, but the release in early 2023 will allow for a huge amount of testing to make necessary alterations!

      @@pinnacleemergencyvehicles1014 the difference is that for gas you need only few minutes to refill, and for EV - you need hours.

      @@solarissv777 And if you're like our department....you may take a 200 mile round trip transfer, just to have to catch an emergency (when you return to the city) 20 miles from the station...and transport that patient 20 more miles (one way) to the hospital. I don't think there is enough battery power for that....and those type calls are real life scenarios.

      @@pinnacleemergencyvehicles1014 But the difference is you can get gas in 15 minutes or less and you go a lot further on a diesel or gas tank then the 200 or so miles you get on a full battery sorry not seeing the benefit especially for transport companies or 911 trucks in busier areas

    I absolutely hate the design. It doesn't have the typical American design language.

      Thanks for the feedback! As a purpose-built ambulance, there’s much more freedom to get creative with the design. Because of this, the design you saw in the video was engineered to provide maximum mobility for the EMS personnel while remaining safely buckled. Additionally, new innovations inside, such as the swiveling saddle seats, will further increase safety. Hope this makes sense!

      What does 'American design' entail? A Cadillac D body? Should it look like the Ecto 1?

    • @Keiengepro
      @Keiengepro 2 года назад +4

      Maybe its not meant for americans (haha jk, it has to be cuz everything there is outdated). something like this would be game changer, just like rosenbauer fire engine, however, it needs some improving since one of the tanks broke which is kinda bad. but hey, atleast its progress to the future.

      @@Keiengepro Are you suggesting the USA isn't getting into the modern age? Perhaps this ambulance will explode into flames like those electric buses they have in France? The future is now! :P

      @@SpartacusColo Ye i feel like the USA is moving rather slow with their fire/ems engines. the police isnt that slow tho.
