  • We are now on day 5 of my journey to a 2000 rapid rating online on chess.com! Yep, we're actually playing chess EVERY day until I hit 2000... I may or may not be a literal engine in this one.
About me: I'm Farzy, a Chess.com partnered streamer and freestyle rapper who is on a quest to get better at chess! I've been streaming chess on Twitch for about a year, and have started to play over-the-board classical chess tournaments in the summer of 2024. I hope to grow as a player both online and OTB, and I hope my viewers can join me for the ride :)

Farzy once went on holiday to the Virgin Islands. Now they are just called the Islands.

I’m telling you, Farzy is as cracked as he is jacked. I saw him at a 7-11 the other day buying Redbull and adult diapers. I asked him what the diapers were for and he said ”they contain my full power so I don’t completely shit on these kids“ then he rode a knight out the door

    A win is a win!
It's the player responsability to not missclic. I've learned that the hard way !
I've won and lost many games like that (mostly lost I think 😂😂), it's always unfortunate but that's part of the game.
The goring gambit is very very scary for me. I never accept it, but I think I still have a bad score against it. Basically every move you played were the only moves that are not very unpleasant to play until move 8. Your opponents knew it was the stockfish line.
What's good is you understood why your moves were great and that's why you played them ! Very well done !
Gambit players are usually very booked up in the accepted lines, and very used to having better positions early on.
Very well done, let's hope for full games in the future tho !

I like going headfirst into gambits and learning on the fly :')

Honnestly I like this spirit !
Often it's objectively best to accept them !
If you fall for a trap, then you know for next time, otherwise if you survive you will likely be up material or at least equal !

At first, I was really following along, the pieces were moving, the board was, well, board-shaped, and everything seemed to be in its place. But as the rooks started shuffling and the pawns did their thing, I couldn't help but think about how the moon landing influenced modern breakfast cereal choices. Anyway, the knight took a step and suddenly it all felt like a recipe for invisible soup. The chessboard definitely had squares, no doubt about that, but the real question is - are we all just pawns in the toaster's grand plan? Truly something to think about.

It genuinely could have been a mouse slip. They could have had the bishop selected and then realised they need to move their queen, went to click the queen but accidentally clicked the adjacent square. I don't think it's impossible. But yeah I agree you can't just take people's word for it and hand out draws if you're trying to climb. Well played!

Yep this is what I think as well! It's definitely unfortunate but it happens to just about everyone on occasion, ultimately a win is a win and I'm still proud of how I played up until that point!

Also sorry for comment spam but bro definitely did not mouse slip, bro brain slipped

  • @PowerMattazine

No way bro mouse slipped, should've been moving his queen, not bishop, unless he had a zwischenzug, but even if that were the case and he wanted to take the f6 knight, he's moving along the wrong diagonal back towards his side of the board
Idk, maybe this could happen but I'm calling brain fart here 😂
Good game anyway up until that point, I think you would've won anyway 👍

He told me afterwards he wanted to move his queen to the square he accidentally moved his bishop to, I believe it was an honest mouse slip - regardless, it's never fun to hang a queen! I do think the game was going my way though, good to see I'm not the only one :D

I always appreciate chess content creators but something is off about farzy. I am certain he makes staged content. Hes not a real chess player. I beleive he is using one of those shady chess sites that sell games. You can buy online games, for those who are not aware. You can upload a script, they process your payment and they pair you with a player. The player then follows your script all the way to the end and you can pretend to know what youre doing. I think farzy does this

Um, okay? I literally play viewers live on my stream practically every day and am partnered with Chess.com, but you can choose to believe whatever you want to believe... I guess I'm just super confused how you came to this conclusion - it's pretty absurd to me lol
