Archangel under the control of religious Striker would have fit perfectly. But Striker is just military guy in the movie so that was a missed opportunity.
The explosion of Jean's emerging Phoenix powers and Scott's Optic Blasts from earlier crack the dam's foundation causing the collapse. I always interpreted her sacrifice in the end as her being afraid of her power and wanting to die because she knows she'll be too dangerous, which I think pays off kinda nicely in Last Stand even though I can't STAND that movie. LOL
Superman and Cap are the good you should thrive to be. If everyone tried a wee bit more to try and be a good soul, just by trying that much more, they are successful
Jean says “You marry the good guy.” in a general sense, like ‘that’s what women do’ as opposed to marrying the bad-boy, which is how she sees Logan. Sorry if 30 people already said this. 😅
Rule of 7 for team movies, that's the max! So a seven member team! 1 Cyclops- The "Captain America" of the team, the inspirational leader. 2- Beast- Kelsey Grammer, already exists in the MCU 3- Rogue- Utilize her real powers with a Carol Danvers interaction 4- Gambit- Much needed in film ;) 5- Emma Frost- Jean's already dead. As stated, use cosmic era to bring in the Phoenix and "resurect" Jean 6- Nightcrawler 7- Storm Wolverine can be here and there, but avoid him in the first film. Colossus can be another CGI inclusion, but he has his focus with Deadpool Over time you swap out members, Storm has to go to Wakanda. Emma bails for the Hellfires, Gambit takes off to do his thing with Rogue, Beast focuses on the School-Mansion, Wolverines an Avenger etc Cyclops needs to be the staple imo. He has to be the Captain America of the team, without Cyclops the team suffers
Nightcrawler is one of my favorite xmen and his scene is one of my favorite scenes ever from across all action movies…storm is another one of my favorite characters and I love the tornado scene because it’s the most powerful we’ve seen storm
If I could make a minor change, rename Yuriko/Lady Deathstrike to X-22. They basically just use her as a drone, works even better when you think on what happens in Logan.
Eh I like this as the only live action lady death strike we’ve seen, and Laura in Logan works better when you don’t think of her as just another version
The problem with this is that X-23 didn't appear until after the movie was released so they could base it on stuff that didn't exist while they were making the movie
@@TheCaptainKuhn Fair enough, but X-23 debut the same year as X2 coming out, and I'm pretty sure either the concept of x-23 or a clone of Wolverine has been either in circulation or in some one off comics for a long time before the movie. And this is my own personal retcon, so I can make the rules 😉
@@Treblemaker1279Yes, Wolverine did have a clone before this. His name is Albert. (Because Wolverine is from Alberta.) As for your retcon, it could be cool to use to streamline the Reavers and The Weapon Plus Program in the MCU. But they've already sorta messed that up because they've never said anything about it in Captain America, who is Weapon 1.
Ah, yes, the times before X-Men movies showed blatant disregard for continuity and established (film canon) lore. It's still just a dolled up Wolverine movie though since they also gave Cyclops the shaft in this film.
Professor X isn't freezing time. He's just seizing the motor and cognitive function of several hundred people in the museum all at once with no visible strain (not even the tropey psychic nosebleed) like he did with the villagers who were trying to lynch Nightcrawler.. All these forums keep telling me Xavier isn't an Omega level telepath but I've never seen any other telepath in the comics or movies do anything like this.
Wasn't the actor who played the beast in the brief cameo on the TV interview the voice actor of Hank from the 90s X-Men animated series? I thought I heard that somewhere.
39:35 you guys don't have any friends that dabble in the occult? The symbols on Nightcrawler look to be Enochian which were written down by Wizard, Astrologer, Alchemist and Court Magician to Queen Elizabeth the 1st Dr. John Dee during supposed conversations with an Angelic entity summoned to a crystal ball communicating through an unscrupulous medium named Edward Kelley
Fun story time: when asked if they can even have an attack on the White House, David Hayter's reply was "why should i care, I'm Canadian"

Thank you Sal! I've always said it says more about you it you can't comprehend a Superman that's just a good person.

The base starts to fall apart because of how Cyke's blast went all off-target while fighting Jean.
Professor and xavier can definitely freeze every Mind in the vicinity that's why in the comics he's always absent

This one is my favorite xmen movie
I love this podcaat. It should get a lot more love than it does.
Id watch a Future Foundation podcast of you guys doing the Fantastic Four movies and cartoons

Apologies read that as x-23

Can’t wait to get my copies of Hellbent
As someone who just this last month got really into comics I now wish I’d gotten in on it, sounds awesome

The truck driver in the first film was the voice of Beast
Seems like you missed it but writer David Hayter is better known as the voice actor for Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series.
Can ya oleassssss do xmen evolution and wolverine and the xmen as part of mutant academy (atleast a season worth) maybe even the show gifted
I really hope they just reeboot the mcu from scratch after secret wars

Apart from days of future past the rest of the brian singer x men movies are overrated and haven't aged very well.
