- Short video of some of Frank's early career knockouts. I found them in a Tyson documentary and thought I'd share them with you. We can clearly see in these clips just how big of a puncher Bruno was, and with a steel-chin who knows how far he would have gone in the sport!! Enjoy.

Im glad you put up a bruno highlight, all that was on youtube about frank bruno before this was him being on the wrong end of highlight reel knockouts haha I do believe he was a bit too chinny though, Tyson looked horrible against frank bruno the first time, what a decline after firing rooney in just one fight he goes from being invincible (spinks) to slow plodding str8 up puncher who was east to hit

Perfect song for this amazing video. I actually think Frank Bruno had a decent chin, however it was not able to cope the punches of the legit power punchers such as Tyson and Lewis.
Overall he was a beast
After watching him in training, Floyd Patterson said that nobody knew just how powerful Bruno's punch was. Bruno used to punch from the shoulder and knock people out cold. Patterson reckoned that if he put his whole body behind a punch he would knock any man out.
Bruno had two faults in the ring. He was too static and he lacked the killer instinct. He may not have achieved his potential but we all love him.
Its only now that Im more mature that I realise just how good big Frank was. 40W 38KO's 5 losses 2 x Tyson 1 x L Lewis whom for the most part he was winning.. Was TKO'd in the 10th round of a 10 rnd fight against a younger primer James bonectusher smith that four yrs later took Mike Tyson the full distance going to the scorecard and a loss to a prime Tim Witherspoon TKO'd in 11th round.He fought 7/ 8 fighters that Tyson fought and beat them easier KOing them in earlier rounds than prime Tyson..
Agree, wholeheartedly. It ruins the atmosphere generated by the ambient sounds of the ring, plus the crowd and commentators.
Get in there Frank!
Spot on, Frank didn't have a bad chin, Lewis stopped him on his feet, and when Tyson's stopped him both times it was from massive combo's, unlike Lewis, no disrespect mean't to Lewis, he was a great boxer and champion, but that is having a weak chin. Big Frank def lacked stamina though, and didn't know what to do when he was in trouble.
Antony Joshua reminds me of Frank Bruno - same build and similar style of fighting. Let's see how Joshua's career pans out...
Keep well Frank. It didnt matter that your lack of stamina added to the vulnerability of the chin, you just kept going till you held the title you so wanted.
@ExpressivePugilist Go ahead, I just cut these out of a Tyson documentary and added some music. You should do a KO video for some of the smaller weight class punchers, Carlos Zarate maybe? 66 wins and 63 knockouts? What about Wilfredo Gomez? He was an animal, spat on Zarate when he knocked him out.
@PrimeAliProductions With better stamina and a good chin he would have been great! I honestly believe if he's survived one or two more rounds against Tyson he would of beat him, Mike looked terrible in that fight and Bruno was starting to comeback when he suddenly got caught.
@combatesdeboxeo No way, Louis was put down by single punches from Max schmeling (a -200lb fighter), Foreman was outboxed and bullied by an aging Ali. Lewis was hit clean plenty of times and never hit the deck, both Foreman and Louis tasted canvas more times than Lewis ever did.
Frank fraught some big names in boxing, but they were big names in his prime time, not big names to the younger generation.

Cory Hill what? He won the WBC and was far better than the likes of Haye, Harrison and the fucking rest from today! \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Frank has a personality too!

Yeah he beat a crackhead journeyman who won a title on a fluke. Haye would have knocked Bruno out.
There are lots of heavyweight fighters who knock out bums early in there career's and gone on to hold world titles so stop picking on Frank.
