Great Reviews Guys! Keep on going! Quick question, which mounting point you picked ? Classic or Progressive ?

I'd go classic on this ski, especially if you're touring more. This allows for greater efficiency in a climbing format.

I wonder how these would compare to the (2015/16) Candide 3.0...? Tough question to answer, I know. I absolutely love my 192 3.0s but I'm looking for a (one quiver) touring setup this time that favours the downhill. I'll almost certainly be using Dynafit Tigard boots (I need the volume) with either Salomon Shift 2.0s or Marker Duke PTs. I ski pretty aggressively (so I'm told) and I do like skiing bumps. How do you think 190 Machine 3s would handle the bumps, chop and piste, I wonder?

Machine is more directional vs. rounded like the Candide. Even with the tail rocker of the La Machine, it still is more preferred to be a straighter and more fall line style of ski. The La Machine would handle the bumps, chop, and piste a bit better than the Candide, at least from a smoothness standpoint.

Yoo guys.. i've been looking for a new touring ski. It should be max. 1600g and around 108 waist. So i came across the la machine mega and i've seen that there is a new dynastar mtour 108. Did you guys had a chance to test the new dynastar and if yes, how do they compare? Also would you recomend some other skis? I dont want it to be tooo stiff. Thanks alot and have a nice day! :)

We've not skied the M-Tour, but our FedEx driver has and he loves them. Big touring skier and we talk skis with him all the time--former Tahoe patroller and overall amazing athlete. Probably couldn't give you a fair comparison with the Mega, but just from what we've seen from the skis, they look pretty similar. The M-Tour has a pretty stiff flex, but I don't think it's overbearing at all.

Hi Bob, how does the Mega compare with the Backland 107?

The Mega has more of a dramatic tapered shape in the shovel, so that's going to make it maneuver through deeper snow, crud, and chop with greater ease and smoothness. It's a more swively and drifty ski than the Backland which is surprisingly business-like in its flex and capabilities.
