Thanks for the comment! Both consultancy and product management have their merits. As a Consultant, you'll tackle a variety of challenges, preparing you for the unforeseen issues of starting a company. On the other hand, a Product Manager oversees the entire product development lifecycle, much like what you'd handle in a SaaS startup. Given the direct experience with engineers, designers, and product delivery, I'd lean towards recommending Product Management if your goal is starting a SaaS company. Consultants often address broader issues, not always centered on product development.

I think I will just remain an associate PM or a researcher or data analyst on a PM team. That will be good enough for me at this point.

With two years of professional experience, including one year as an Artificial Intelligence Developer and another year as a Product Manager overseeing web, mobile, and AI-based products, I seek guidance on whether to pursue a Product Manager role or transition into a Development role, such as Data Analytics. Despite my passion for Product Management, I'm encountering challenges in securing PM roles. I have an upcoming interview for a PM internship with a monthly salary ranging from 5k to 15k, but some acquaintances question the viability of a PM career at this stage of my career. I hold a BSc-IT degree, a PG certification in Data Science, and a CSPO certification. Your advice on navigating this career crossroads would be greatly appreciated.
