Rhaenys is actually trying to make Rhaenyra understand that once the king remarries and has a son Rhaenyra won’t be queen. There’s never been a queen. Daemon was just trying to get his brother’s attention. Otto has his hooks so deep in the king. I’m curious to see how your opinions change about Daemon in the coming up episodes lol. She 100% is which is what we believe she should be doing. It’s sad to see how Rhaenys was pushed aside but also amazing to see the support she still gets from people all around who still support her as “the Queen that never was”. Being on Ep 8, A LOT has changed in the views of the characters for us which i won’t spoil to let you guys see that🔥 we appreciate you & your support much love💙

There are 17 dragons at the end of season one, though we only see 10 ( and 3 of those only briefly). Many are riderless but claimed later; at times characters say “we have half the dragons!” But they mean “half of the dragons controlled by riders right now” - the number changes over time
The legal age of adulthood in Westeros is 16; but when it comes to marriage for political alliances, she’s considered a “woman” after she’s started having her blood. Laena most definitely has NOT started having her blood, which is why she tells Viserys the plan is to just wait a few years after marrying to actually start having sex with her. Their society considers this a bit unusual but necessary for important political alliances.
Daemon just wanted his brother’s attention. That man doesn’t want the throne but he will protect his family.
Daemon and viscerys remind me of prince obrien and his brother. One is weighed down by the duties of ruling and the other enjoys being prince and living life to the fullest
The city model Viserys is building in his room is Valyria. That was the Targaryens ancestry home, until it was destroyed by a volcano & earthquake. We saw the ruins of Valyria in GOT. When Tryion & Jorah sailed through, and Jorah got touched by the stone men
Rhaenyra don’t have another dragon btw…they usually tend to ride/bond with only one dragon. Even dany didn’t ride all 3 she only ride 1 in all of game of thrones. Rhaenyra was also the youngest dragon rider at like 7 if I’m not mistaken and her dragon is the same age as her essentially that’s why she’s so small in comparison to daemon dragon who was ridden by his unclebefore daemon bonded with him. Just a fun fact daemon dragon old rider was the queen who never was dad and the queen who never was dragon old rider is daemon and the king mom. Also don’t forget Cole only beat daemon because daemon was showboating to the crowd and Cole snuck him.
This was good information to know! Thank you for that. It makes sense as to why her dragon was smaller than the rest it seemed. They gave us a glimpse of the dragon bonding of someone else’s dragon in episode 7.
@@DaKidsReact yup that dragon in episode 7 is one of the first dragons to go to Westeros when the first aegon conquered…that’s why that dragon it’s almost 200 years old. You can’t steal dragons btw the dragon has to choose you but he coulda waited for the daughter to try to bond with the dragon so I still think what he did was dirty. He bonded with the mom old dragon while they were mourning her smh but can’t wait to watch yo reaction on it lol
Given that Westeros is a feudal society where lords and lesser lords all govern independent realms and resources, the monarch who holds it all together needs to marry for politics. Viserys is in a very tight spot; advised first to name Rhaenyra heir to avoid making Daemon king who is way too impulsive and self-serving, but then risking upsetting Lord Corlys whose wife Lady Rhaenys is already bitter from not being chosen all those years back, and Corlys who owns the largest fleet in Westeros (meaning if he chooses he can just say nope, and leave the realm without a decent naval defense), though other houses in Westeros like the Lannisters and Redwynes also have powerful fleets, the Velaryons are greater than all of them. Lannisters have ridiculous wealth to last for thousands of years, the Vale has their knights, one of the best fighting forces there are, the Tyrells govern the Reach, the breadbasket of Westeros providing mosty of their food. Anger any of these, or make them feel unjustly treated or wronged, and you risk loosing extremely valuable assets for possible wars or infighting, and worse, you risk letting your enemies have those advantages on their side instead. All this to say that being king in Westeros is a chess game on a mad level. If I was Viserys I'd be stressed beyond my mind.
Ned was Robert hand after Jon Arryn died. Tyrion was Joffrey hand until Tywin came back and he was hand until he died then Tywin brother kevan was Tommen hand.

The egg Daemon took belonged to the dragon DreamFyre (a silver dragon) There's speculation from the book Fire & Blood that the dragon DreamFyre is the mother of Daenery's dragons: Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion. The egg Daemon was holding was gold, so that would be Viserion

Lmao so you must’ve been a season 5-8 fan. This show has some holes but it definitely is better than the last 4 seasons.
@@Cream-2128 What i was trying to say is that as a GOT fan, loving the vibe in general about that world/culture....and not making any comparisons, but it didnt move me, engage me like i THOUGHT it would.
17:58 - main consideration against picking Laena was her age and that in the best possible case he would have a child only in 3 years. And Viserys is feeling urgency with only Rhaenys as his heir and Daemon a scary possibility. He needs kids NOW, while he still can.
There are “histories and lore” videos. They’re long (almost an hour) but useful in case you want to learn more about the world.
Definitely going to have to check it out!

5:44 Dany NEVER had a problem with killing people. Just who SHE thought deserved it. She watched her own brother die in the 6th episode of the series! Not that he wasn't a jerk, but anyone that can stand aside and watch while your husband kills your brother and feels NOTHING? That should've told us something then. She took pleasure in burning people she felt deserved it. She proclaimed herself judge, jury and executioner everywhere she went.

@@DaKidsReact Laena Velaryon is 12. Her parents evidently plan, and, had the marriage gone through, Viserys would certainly have had no objection, for the marriage to be consummated when she was 14 to improve her chances of having a successful pregnancy. What's fairly obvious during their 'date' is that Viserys is very uncomfortable at the thought of marrying a little girl, even with the prospect of a delayed consummation. He can barely stand to look at her, and smiles occasionally so as not to hurt the child's feelings, but it looks like he can't wait to get away from her. Laena is smart, pretty, poised, and dignified, also a terrific match in political terms, but she's still a little girl and Viserys is not a pedophile. Alicent is only a few years older, but she's physically much more mature, has a body that seems like it will definitely survive pregnancy and childbirth, and Alicent already has a warm emotional rapport with the grieving king.
Faced with the prospect of other families pushing little girls at him, and the perceived need for a backup heir, Viserys chooses Alicent...which is a very poor decision, politically speaking.
The hand when GOT started was dead lord Jon Arryn & that’s why Robert went north to ask Ned Stark to be his hand until he died. Then Tywin sent Tyrion to act as hand until he got there but Tywin was hand for joffery & Tommen until he died. Then his brother Kevan was hand to Tommen then Qyburn was hand to Cersei. Tyrion was the worst hand ever to Daenerys. Y’all should react to the pitch meeting for GOT season 8! & the history & lore & maybe do a rewatch. The writers ruined GOT
Otto is also a bad hand he’s very self interested & didn’t even know or cared how crime filled the capital was. To say to ignore the issue on the Stepstones is bad advice. Idk why they aged Laena down for the show I hate it she’s older than Rhaenyra in the books as is Alicent. Rhaenys the queen who never was is just trying to let Rhaenyra know how the realm thinks. Side note: she had black hair in the books cause her mother is a Baratheon. Viserys & Alicent betrayed Rhaenyra. Daemon acting out for Viserys’s attention was crazy af love how Rhae Rhae squashed it! Him & lord Corlys is a dangerous combination.
Thank you for reminding us who was The Hands from GOT, as we haven’t watched it since around 2019. We are currently on episode 8 & his self interest is definitely starting to show more. Rhaenys is starting to become one of our favorites as she just keeps it real & wants peace as it seems. They definitely betrayed rhaenyra by getting married & i couldn’t imagine the feeling she had when her dad said he wanted to marry her. Daemon seems like he’s been the outcast/loner which is understandable as he just wants love from Viserys. Can’t wait to finish us s1 in the next week🔥
