Le musicien a connu personnellement pendant dix ans le grand Stéphane Grappelli et, au festival Les Divas du Jazz, il a ressuscité cette figure emblématique du jazz, en dédiant sa prestation au quatuor Hot Club de France, où Grappelli a joué avec le non moins grand jazz, le guitariste Django Reinhardt. Et Didier était accompagné ce jour-là de musiciens qui, une heure plus tôt, s'étaient produits dans une autre salle avec un programme dédié spécifiquement à Django.

The musician was personally acquainted with the great Stéphane Grappelli for ten years, and at the Les Divas du Jazz festival he resurrected this iconic figure for jazz, dedicating his performance to the Hot Club de France quartet, where Grappelli played with the no less great jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. And Didier was accompanied that day by musicians who, an hour earlier, had performed at another venue with a program dedicated specifically to Django.
