haha Bumsider was boring but it sounds like it was better than most of those. Also, I knew what number one was going to be before I even clicked to watch the video. That was probably my favorite of your reviews. You went all in.
What's wrong with you?!? Actually I'm the same; if someone warns me about a book or author, that book goes to the top of my lookout list for some reason. We're sickkkkk
Thank you so much for trying to save me. If only I had been watching this all along. . . Last week. . . It's the library sale. . . I found 3 Hal Clement. . . and I bought them. One was "Cycle of Fire". You could have saved me bro. I guess there's still Needle, and Fossil.
Haha this was entertaining, thank you RUclips algorithm and mr. @pulpmortem!! Damn, I sometimes forget how bad books can be! I think the worst book I ever read was actually science fiction called Alien Blues by Lyn Hightower. These days when I don’t like book it’s usually just mediocre. Even self published books I read seems like masterpieces in comparison with these books 😂
I enjoy a review of a good book, but it is funny how I tend to enjoy the reviews of bad books even more! Looking at the cover of The Four Day Weekend and reading the blurb- "What happens to a man when a woman is his boss- even in the 21st century?" would probably indicate for the sake of humanity a copy of the book should not have survived the end of the 1960's, except for two things. In the 21st century it would make a great PulpMortem RUclips review, and as a must read for all aspiring young SF writers on "how NOT to write science fiction".
@OmnivorousReader people seem to like his Sector General series, so maybe they're better? Honestly the struggle for me was to separate the art from the artist, something I'm typically good at. Maybe it was just an off-book, but it was so frustrating that I don't think I'll give White another shot.
I knew the worst was better than the best. Nothing so entertaining as a train wreck you chose to read. It’s like waiting for John Cleese to go on an insane rant.

The amount of tension I felt waiting for Bumsider to show itself was unmatched.
Haha technically it was reviewed on E.E.B.S. and that's the only thing that saved it from this list!
A lot of people recommended your channel in the comments of my recent video and I'm glad they did! Looking forward to watching a lot more of you!
Ah, those are just bots I paid for.
Welcome and cheers!
Great Video kid !!! Vegas had Fanthorpe at 8 to 5 so now I'm out 2 bucks !!! Bad Grammar Cult leaders really ruin ones 4 day weekend !!!!
great work man! Gotta say, finding this channel has been a highlight of my year.
@@AgentSmash7 cheers!

@@TheBookGraveyard haha zero suspense this year. Maybe next?
Good One!
Laughed a good few times while watching this on a bus and got some funny looks.
Entertaining as always pulp….and oddly, now I kinda want to read these!

@@salty-walt I've heard Needle is good! Soooo, maybe you're okay?
*raises chalice
Here's to another year of garbage!
Dilly-dilly!
You are doing sterling work here. I think I actually have a copy of 4 day weekend somewhere stinking up my shelves.
Review it! Share in my suffering
@PulpMortem no chance! You read it so we don't have to!
@SciFiScavenger probably smart.
This was the dumpster fire i wanted - the edits, gold! If only i could like it 2x 😊
@@kevintowle9665 haha Cheers!
Loved it. 😂 You are at your best when it comes to the worst.
@@ashradiohead1 haha the worst reading experiences make for the funnest reviews and I have no idea why. Something is wrong with me I think
“Get outta my office! 🔫 🥃 “ - jack williamson, probably
@@TauZeroSF definitely.

@@Morfeusm something is wrong with me, because even knowing what you just said, if I saw a book called Alien Blues I would probably buy it LOL!
These are all going on my TBR, great video.

“Sci-fi written by Tommy Wiseau.” lol
I found Orbit One yesterday. I didn't buy it. Thanks!
Glad I could help LOL
This was great! 😂
Honestly im a dummy, and found your telling of the doomsday planet good enough to put on the tbr :)
@@goatman3358 haha! Harl Vincent wasn't going to let a little thing called science get in the way of his science fiction!
So, I may be wrong, but I am suspecting you are not a fan of James White :P I have a James White on my to-read shelf. I wonder how that will go...
@@OmnivorousReader haha what gave it away?
@@PulpMortem My keen observational skills... Honestly, it made me just a little bit more curious to read the one I have. The warning is appreciated.

Sector General series is worth reading.@@PulpMortem
@keomgranger695 ugh. I'll definitely give White a chance at redemption at some point. Which SG would you recommend I read?
Hilarious😂

Not sure I have read any of these..
