Your lessons are absolutely amazing!! I love everything about it. Even the children!! Hearing the school buses go by and the birds with the children laughing just feels like Japan. Wonderful video!!
Just got over a thousand more to go! LoL 😆 😂 you make it soooo easy though! I’m on top with the kanji when I learn from you! Thank you for posting these videos!
So far the best way of learning vocabulary I've found online. Not only you teach us the way to write the kanji, you also teach sentences and the words are connected to one another. Best channel!
Yes, I have the plan. I have long wanted to make the video, yet somehow I couldn't for a year...but I will make it. Thank you very much for watching and the request!
This is amazing. I’m learning Japanese for fun and after learning hiragana and katakana I was stumped when I found out how complicated kanji was. I didn’t know if I could learn but watching your videos give me a great understanding of how kanji works and the pronunciation and the order to write it, along with sentences. It’s so helpful and I feel I have learnt a lot more than I knew yesterday! Thank you so much I’m extremely grateful have a good day. :))
@@kaannagumanov1185 I didn’t use google translate bud, obviously someone who isn’t totally fluent in a language isn’t going to write a perfect sentence and I was only thanking him for helping me with my Kanji.
Thank you for these videos. Even though I kind of learned the first grade kanji in reading and writing, I watch these videos for the proper pronunciation (so to not mix up nose and flower, for example). I feel it sticks much better then just listening to some app that only repeats the word.
Hello!!!! Arigatou for your beautiful and useful lessons!!! I love them, you are helping me so much in learning kanji! One question: what's the difference between na and namae?? Which one is the most used??? Thank you so much. A very deep bow for you!!!!
Hello, こんにちは!!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!! I am happy if my videos are of any help to you. About your question, "namae(名前)" is more often used than "na(名)". In the era more than 150 years ago "名" was used, but now "名前" is mainly used. 名 is used in literary or writing expression such cases as "君の名は"("What is your name?", the title of recent famous Japanese anime film), "彼(kare)(彼女(kanojo))の名は...です"(His(her) name is ...) ..."na" is one syllable, so sometimes it is better or easier for the pronunciation in terms of rhythm. Thank you so much. ありがとうございます!
In Kanji- 字=ji, so I get some of it! Since they call kanji characters as well! Makes a lot of sense. What’s also cool, is if you are learning Kanji for Japanese, you can read Chinese, but can’t speak it!
I really enjoy watching your videos. Giving me a good review of some basic Kanji before I truly start to learn them in my Japanese books :) great videos. 👍
Another common reading of 生 is なま (nama), meaning "raw". 生 has a LOT of readings, but I think with い, う, なま, and セイ you cover the most common ones pretty nicely. Two others I just thought of: ショウ (shou) in 一生 (いっしょう - isshou) は in 生やす (はやす - hayasu)
Reading Kanji is a bit of an art, to be honest. You can make an educated guess, though: If it's a single kanji with okurigana (hiragana that come after the kanji but belong to the same word), it most likely uses a kun'yomi reading. And since most kanji have exactly one of those, you know how to read it. (Note that I said "most". Some kanji have multiple kun'yomi readings and some have none at all) If it's a single kanji on its own, it also likely uses a kun'yomi reading, but not always. If you have multiple kanji... oh boy. They usually all use an on'yomi reading. Except when they don't and they all use a kun'yomi reading. Except when they don't and some use on'yomi and some use kun'yomi. Even if you know which reading to use for each kanji, there could be rendaku (slight modification of the first mora of the kanji). If the last mora of a kanji is "tsu" and it is in the middle of there word, there is a chance that it turns into a pause instead. Here's an example: 必死 - The readings to use are "hitsu" and "shi", but it's not read "hitsushi" - you read it "hisshi" instead.
you really made it more clear for me ...cuz i was so afraid of wich reading i use to the kanji in the futur ..thanks a lot ...but i have an other question if i don't know wich reading to use.. do i use the translation of google to hear wich reading to use. i mean the spelling of google's translation in japanese is correct to depend on it ?

Thank you for watching and the comment. The N4 exam seems to be held on 7/2 and 12/3 this year(Do you take 7/2 one?). I am not in the best condition now, so I am not confident, but even if I make a poor video, it would be better than nothing, haha. There seems to be good websites or RUclips videos that show kanji strokes (eg. jisho.org/). Anyway, thank you so much for the request! ありがとうございます。
i take this coming 7/2 here in philippines no i believe your stroke technique are good dont worry take your time... just continue making videos it really helps...

It is "ぺんてる 筆touchサインペン ブラック SES15C-A(Pentel Fude Touch Sign Pen, Black)". 筆(ふで)means a writing brush. No-brush type pens used in Japanese elementary school for exercise of writing characters are perhaps eg. かきかたフェルトペン or they just use pencils. The light blue color pen I use in the video is a 3-color ball‐point pen. 三菱鉛筆 3色ボールペン ジェットストリーム 0.7. Thank you.
