I put down two mule deer with a 7mm mag in Idaho's high desert. There is a lot of wide open country and a flat-shooting caliber that easily reaches out to three hundred yards is a plus. The 7mm mag delivered in spades.
P.S. look up Anderson dam Idaho, if you want an idea of where I hunted. :)
One of my favorite cartridges. I believe that when it’s married with a 160 Accubond or Partition leaving the barrel at 3000 + FPS it’s a great 400 yard mulie cartridge. Good luck on your future hunts.

These Norma ammo reviews are insanely accurate! I'm a hand loader but I'll be buying a pack now myself now to try out. WTW it would be great in the future if you could try the new Remarms Corelockt ammo in 270 that now comes with a polymer tip. Remington Corelockts have always been a favorite for hound hunters down here in Victoria, Australia on sambar deer, especially in 30/06. Anyway thanks again for your time and thanks as always for sharing!

My dad has a 770 in 300 win mag and you can tell it's a cheaply made rifle, but it's accurate so I love it.
I love gun related content, and just the fact that he sounds like Bill from King of the Hill makes this 10x better.

I worked with a guy that used to hand load some hot stuff in 7mm rem. Mag. He would hand load my 2506. Anyway we got some crazy velocity from his loads. His 7mm rem mag brings back some fun shooting.

Heating up cartridges in the hot sun is not good for accuracy.. leaving cartridges chambered in a hot barrel actually heats up the powder ,not good for accuracy.. chambering a cool round in a hot barrel and shooting within a few seconds, much better... Really appreciate your videos! but wondering how long did you leave the cheap ammo in the hot barrel.. I just subscribed , new to your vids I'm sure you know sometimes expensive ammo isn't always tight groups and cheaper ammo shoots sub moa in many guns. I'm fighting with an older Remington 7600 in 308 win pump lately.. by that I mean all kinds of ammo tested,, shooting one shot every 10 minutes , sometimes shooting five shots under 1 minute.. cannot get better than 8-in groups.. all over the paper plate.... Sorry to ramble is very late and I am extremely tired..

They're both good Alex. Close trajectory out to approx 300 yards. A little more punch with the 7mm Rem Mag, but .270 a little easier on the shoulder.
Fun fact; About 30 years ago, got a little too relaxed with my 7mm Rem Mag at the range and joined the half moon club (scope bite in the forehead)!! Happy shooting!

I had a Remington model 770 one time and it was as accurate as any model 700 I have ever had. The 770 were great guns and don't know why they replaced it with the model 783. I think I paid $250.00 for it brand new.

Rifle is Way to High on the table/stand. Need Sandbags on the sled and don't hold the fore stock...you'll get way tighter. Love my 7mag, Great channel.

Wont miss this one, probably wont sleep much 42 years old just got my bow course couple months ago been back the camp since i was 5 years old first time going out with a bow. And could not find a cascade for the life of me was down my nans last weekend went into canadian tire( like walmart but smaller) first time seeing one i bought a ruger go wild in 308 sweet little gun.

I just bought them for my 7mm mag for practice, they shoot similar to my handloads which are using 150 grain nosler ballistic tips

The blackhound comes with scope rings openings. These are 20 year old scope rings that came with the scope
Norma is a very old swedish brand. Another brand for shotguns is Gyttorp 12g. Best ammo out here in Sweden!

I use norma 6.5mmx52 carcano and its pretty good, much better than the PPU stuff but Australia's location makes norma pricey

I have the model 710 in 270 basically a pre 770 it’s got to be the ugliest gun I own with that crazy gray stock but it’s also one of my most accurate rifles and I have a few that cost way more then it did.
I have a 710 in 7mm magnum with the grey stock. Ugly as sin but a decent rifle especially for the $210 I paid for it.
Once again shooting a few boolits when you only needed one. The deer's don't ''stand'' a chance lol! Thanks WHO-TEE-WHO for showing us the easy way to set up our rifles without wasting ammo.

Norma ammo was inexpensive this year so I picked up a few boxes thinking hey its better to have something to hunt with than nothing. Wow did it outshoot everything else. Looked the company up, they run their bulk ammo on the same machines as their high end loadings. Loaded cartridge runout of .001-.0015. Handloaders call it precision around .0002 runout and less. Also once fired, now you have Norma brass...
