I recently bought a Totally Tiffany craft binder and some embellishment pages for it. I have put several small embellishments in these and still have room for more. I like your small binder idea too.
I love the baggie system. I'll have to go look for that at Hobby Lobby. My initial idea it so to fill it up with things that will go with the project I'm currently working on. This way instead of looking through my entire stash for every layout when working on a certain book I will have all ready stream lined my embellishments. You've given me a lot to think about. Thank you for the inspiration!
I just got back from a 4-day crop and told myself that I will sort and purge before I put the boxes of supplies back into my scrap area. I've been meaning to look at the little "floss books", and see if I think that will work for me. So excited for Stash Bash this year. I'm really motivated and I think this will be my year to BASH MY STASH!
I purchased the Scrap Rack last year and plan to move all of my embellishments to this instead of other multiple sources of storage. It would be my 'go to' for all of my needs.
I have a pile of paper about a foot and a half high that I purged from my stash! I am working on decluttering my over-organized small embellishments now! I love the embroidery floss binder idea!
I love your baggie solution! I’m going to make my own “baggie book” or “books” with snack sized ziplocks and large binder rings since I already have both of those in my possession, and I’m trying not to spend anything. I’ll also make covers with chipboard I’ll decorate. I’ve used empty cling wrap and aluminum foil wrap boxes for washi tape storage, and they work fantastically! Pretty paper applied to the new storage boxes make them suddenly lovely AND functional. I am loving this series! Thank you, Jennifer!
For flat embellishments such as die cuts and sheets of stickers, I use 4x6 photo albums from the drug store that only cost a dollar or two. They are easy to flip through like the baggie idea in the video and way less expensive. Some of them even have a cover that you can switch out to customize to your liking.
I am so glad that I saw your last solution. I was purging and almost threw out that notebook....and at the same time was thinking that I need a new solution for my diecut pieces! Perfect timing. Thank you!
I use bead boxes, clear jars, film canisters, whatever I can find that will let me see what I have. Not always optimal but it works for now. Thanks for the ideas! I do like the floss book idea!
I use 4x6 and 5x7 iris cases for my die cuts. I’m a over organizer anyway so I organize them by color OR by collection if I need to keep that particular collection separate. It’s handy and I can store them inside a photo box to keep my room looking neat.
I have been using the embroidery floss bags for a lttle while and like it. I think mine is too full because it doesn't easily close. :) More recently I have moved my wood veneer pieces to a box with compartments that fits nicely in my desk drawer. Easy to see and access what I have. Thanks for the tips!
I really like the idea of separating out my frequently used items and putting them in little bags in a container on my table. That way I don't have to get them out each time I create and they don't fall into the "out-of-sight-out-of-mind" category.
I love the baggie idea. I have been using baggies but just throwing them in a box where everything gets mixed up . Putting them on binder rings sounds like a great way to keeps things in a ordered fashion. thanks.
I love that little bag binder idea for die cuts and acetate words , etc! I recently revamped my washi collection to large plastic divided craft storage boxes, which makes them more portable and accessible for me.☺️
I use 12x12 binders with divided section pockets to store my embellishments (scraped method) but I love your small binder idea for collections of embellishments and the fact that you get rid of supplies that you haven't used and don't love. I need to do more of this!!
This is awesome! I just recently took all of my embellishments out of the original packaging and put them in rainbow order in cases similar to your sequin case. What i have not been able to figure out yet is how to get a handle on my chipboard or ephemera packs. I love the idea of your little book. I think I am going to focus in on that and see what I can come up with. Thank you for some great tips! I also like your idea or moving it out after a while and keeping an open space for new things.
My progress? None. But this is the first video I watched and it is 11:31 p.m. Lots of great information. I already have a few of those bead cases and I love them. I had two of the floss keepers, but I gave them away with my floss when I stopped cross stitching. Bummer, it is a great idea.
Inspired by your "permission" to get rid of embellishments that I don't love, I just cleaned out enough that I could combine two separate embellishment boxes! Yay! Next, I'm going to look for those glassine bags to help make it easier to simplify my workspace.
I bought a washi tape organzier to store all the goodies that I got after Christmas and Valentines sales at Michaels. Nice to have it all in one container.
Am watching these videos. But right now my craft room is packed in boxes and bins from a major unexpected emergency move. So, I will save these to a play list for destashing and decluttering when my life settles down from crisis and allows me to establish my craftroom in my new home. But I am enjoying them so much. I love the thread case as embellishment storage!
Well, watching your video I realize that I have WAY TOO MANY embellishments of all kinds....! I organize them by color and themes because that's the way I think when I scrapbook, to match embellishments with the colors/themes in my photos and papers. I am in the process of filling up a ScrapRack and I love it as I can easily find what I am looking for. I love that little book you found at Hobby Lobby !
I've been using my empty Olay Regenerist face cream jars for years to store my garden seeds, and just realized that they'll also work for storage of small embellishments. My husband made me a wood crate to store my seed jars, so I'll have to requisition an additional one for my small-stuff stash storage. The stacked jars are attractive, and it's easy to write the ID for what's in the jar on the rim of the screwtop. Babyfood jars might work as well.
I’m buying those baggies right away! Currently I have that kind of smallish flat embellishments stored in recycled SC boxes, but they are a pain to pull and and dig through. So I rarely do! I’m excited to get these embellies in a more usable storage system!!
I am going to try this system using embellishments for a current project. I have a tiny 3 ring binder with sheet protectors that I will close with tape. I am a flipper and this will be easier than flipping thru various sized packaging in a basket.
I currently use the bead boxes. I have used the bag system for floss and dies, just never thought of using that system for embellishments. I am going to convert to that for embellishments. Thanks so much for that idea.
I recently did a storage make over for small embellishments like those you have in your bead container, using the WRMK blossom. But I heart the baggie binder for die cuts! 😎
For the most part, I have big binders sorted by various themes, so things like die cuts or small stickers would go in there. I use page protectors for things like floppy disks (LOL!) or CDs with the little pockets. I am going to try to wrangle my small self-adhesive bling type embellishments. They are just thrown in a Star Wars Valentine tin at the moment ;)
I just got a jewelry organizing box recommended by another scrapper. The top two drawers are smaller for small embellishments. Then 3 larger drawers for pocket cards, washi and larger cards!
I love the idea with the embroidery floss organizer. My biggest problem is letting go and I have some old embellishments that I really know I am never going to use.
I am looking at getting rid of several things that I bought when I first started scrapping. I have had them for years, and I've never use them, so it is time to get them out so that I can make room for stuff that I will actually use. I like the idea of the head box for sequins and small wood veneer, so I may try that.
I am reorganizing my stuff. It has always been out off sight. After 20 years of scrapbooking it is time to purge, but first have to see if I will use anything I plan to get rid of by putting it where I can see it. I have a lot of the glassine envelopes you used. Will try them.
Love your bead box for smaller embellishments (and I'm totally envious of your wood veneer collection!) I need to look at my wood veneer and loose chipboard/enamel shapes to find a better way to store them so I remember to use them! Currently it's all in a drawer in either the original packaging or little ziplock baggies. But I'd love something that puts it on display more. Because it's tucked away in a drawer I forget about it! I did recently move all my washi from an overflowing We R Memory Keepers rotating dispenser to a little unit with three small see through drawers and I find I am remembering to use washi more now because I can find what I need more easily!
Thanks for this Jennifer ... I really like your little baggie system - I'm wondering if I can make myself a version for die cuts - at the moment mine are sitting in a plastic container all jumbled up. I recently moved into a new apartment and actually got rid of a fair bit of stuff.
Thanks for sharing your ideas - they are all so good. I for sure need a way to organize my shaker card elements. Not sure what the solution is - but I will keep you posted!
I have three baggie sets filled. You've given me "permission" to pitch some of the items that I'm not in love with anymore. Or, I might take them up to the preschool my granddaughter attends. I'll tackle that tomorrow and see how much I am able to let go of.
Great video! I organized my embellishments (which are not that much) last month so I went for my DSP, specialty paper and cardstock this weekend while I watch. Thanks! ❤️
Love the floss book idea. I leave those bits in the packaging and reseal with washi tape and then store with the paper that it came with. Not ideal. It would be great to get all those bits in the same spot. I also have started a donate bin for my scrap supplies. I need to purge!
Hi I just found this organization video, when I'm willing to do an overhaul on my stash of Scrapbooking supplies. Loved the ideas. I'm just now going to implement your ideas now! I would love to be the winner of your free videos for the week!
Hi there! I’m new to your channel and was wondering if you have the name of the baggie system you use? As well as the bead container your using. I’m organizing my crafty space. Thank you Tai
I keep ribbon ends and thread in my baggie books - which are too full to close. Time to sort! I have a box similar to your bead box that contains my alphabetized metal letters. Had to do it, they kept getting caught on each other.
I am using digital. Will this have anything about digital organizing? Thanks. I have so much stuff, some of it is old, but I don't know what I will use in the future . . . need help
I am investing in the bead box...it's those little tiny things that drive me nuts. I do use Ikea boxes for some of my tiny brads which I love. If it is not out, I won't use it.
Right now all my embellishments are stacked in their original containers in a single drawer. To be honest, this isn't my first priority because there's so much other stuff I need to deal with first. At least the embellishments are small and don't take up a lot of space.
I don't have small embellishments like you, but I do have a lot of stickers. I store many of them in plastic shoe boxes, but there are always some that have to be bent to make them fit. Argh. That baggy system is amazing, but I am way too lazy to do that. Sigh.
Grammy Goodwil Would gallon size baggies work for some larger stickers? I’m making my own “baggie books” starting with the snack size baggies. All these ideas are so great!
Kathy Dimas Mine are all repurposed from kits I have purchased. You can cut off the ends of paper envelopes, make your own with patterned paper and washi tape. IMO not worth purchasing.
I love the idea of the embroidery floss binder!! This past week, I was working on organizing my Thin Cuts metal dies. I have posteda small bit on my blog misscarriesctmhcreations.wordpress.com/ showing how I have started stash bashing my creative space.
I decided to try the embroidery thread storage. So far I love it and was able to put a small dent in my embellishments. I chose to store items that I am excited about using soon. I love this option also because it's so inexpensive! instagram.com/p/BgKZaxdFV5k/?taken-by=mamabirdy3creates
I love how, 4+ years later, the ideas are all still relevant.
I recently bought a Totally Tiffany craft binder and some embellishment pages for it. I have put several small embellishments in these and still have room for more. I like your small binder idea too.

Jeannette Butler I like that film canister idea!

Anne Lucas Yay!!!
You can make the glassine bags yourself with parchment paper. 😜
I bought a washi tape organzier to store all the goodies that I got after Christmas and Valentines sales at Michaels. Nice to have it all in one container.
I am getting a storage container like yours for all of my small embellishments- that way they won't be scattered everywhere!! Thank you for this idea!
Am watching these videos. But right now my craft room is packed in boxes and bins from a major unexpected emergency move. Some great ideas! I have the bead box, but that embroidery floss binder is awesome! Will work on the challenge tomorrow!
Thankfully I have not gotten into embellishments but if I do, I would use your favorite - the binder originally for embroidery floss.
I love the tip of the jewelry box. That would easily stack on a shelf and is very portable!
For the most part, I have big binders sorted by various themes, so things like die cuts or small stickers would go in there. Great ideas. I use the bead box idea right now but really like the baggie idea. I am working on decluttering some of mine right now!
I love the idea of the bead container. I'm going to give that a try!
I like the small bag idea I'm going to use that for some of my really small embellishments!
You have given me a lot to think about. I am going to start de cluttering today.

Love the small bags! I think I will look for one and try that! Thanks for the ideas!
I enjoyed your ideas and like the embroidery floss keeper idea. Thank you
Bling box now organized by color in zip bags🤗 so much easier/quicker to find instead of digging through a box 👍
Hi I just found this organization video, when I'm willing to do an overhaul on my stash of Scrapbooking supplies. Loved the ideas. I'm just now going to implement your ideas now! I would love to be the winner of your free videos for the week!
Hi Lori! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tips in this video. The event took place last March so the giveaway is closed.
I have the queen and company binder for embellishments. I really love how organized it is, but I need to weed through it. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love that idea I put my in pic book but I like the baggy cause it close TFS😃☺
I am using digital. Will this have anything about digital organizing? Thanks. I have so much stuff, some of it is old, but I don't know what I will use in the future . . . need help
I use plastic shoe boxes to store my Nuvo crystal drops and label both sides of the box with vinyl letters so I always know what's in it.
I am taking your advice about unused - get rid of!
I use need boxes to organize small embellishments... I am working on get my space back into working order...
Letting go of the stash.... fear of needing it once its gone. Finding time to work in my scrapbook room
I'm changing from embellishments by color to embellishments by type. Also changing my paper storage.
I have my embellishments in ScrapRack pages, time for a Spring Cleaning though!
I bought a scrap archive and in process of putting my stickers embellishments in that.... Next will be brads
I am investing in the bead box...it's those little tiny things that drive me nuts. I do use Ikea boxes for some of my tiny brads which I love. If it is not out, I won't use it.
Love your ideas. Could truly work in my case!
Right now all my embellishments are stacked in their original containers in a single drawer. To be honest, this isn't my first priority because there's so much other stuff I need to deal with first. At least the embellishments are small and don't take up a lot of space.
I ues small clear stacking boxes to hold small items.
I like these ideas!
Some great ideas! Tfs hugs Renee new subbie
I see a bead box in my future.
where embellishment storage from with all of the compartments?
I got it at Hobby Lobby. It's a bead box.
I don't have small embellishments like you, but I do have a lot of stickers. I store many of them in plastic shoe boxes, but there are always some that have to be bent to make them fit. Argh. That baggy system is amazing, but I am way too lazy to do that. Sigh.

do you have a source for the glassine envelopes?
Kathy Dimas Mine are all repurposed from kits I have purchased. You can cut off the ends of paper envelopes, make your own with patterned paper and washi tape. IMO not worth purchasing.
Great answer! Thank you so much
Right now I'm using 4x6 Iris boxes in a large case to keep my very, very small space looking neat. I also use the bead box for wood veneers!
I love the idea of the embroidery floss binder!! This past week, I was working on organizing my Thin Cuts metal dies. I have posteda small bit on my blog misscarriesctmhcreations.wordpress.com/ showing how I have started stash bashing my creative space.
