I like the music, but I'm actually more trying to figure out wtf is happening in the animation. There's layers of symbolism here and I have no f*cking clue what it meeeeeans
I think the 2D monster is bullied by the others who all go in the same direction. He fantasizes about the 3D girl, but objectifying her into his own 'waifu', as (some of us) do with 2D characters. Then some things happen that I don't understand. Maybe the reason she's his idol is because she's free to be herself, as shown with all the different makeup. At some point he manages to drag her into the 2D world, the same as we would drag a 2D character into the 3D world if we could. With her power he blasts away the [correction] *gray, angry outer shell* of the 2D guys, revealing the richness within each one of them. But the girl is lost and lonely in the 2D world, until she find her 2D B/W alter ego and... marries them? I have no idea what the B/W alter ego means. I'll probably have to watch this 100 times to understand half of it. Oh well :-)

Catchiest thing I've heard in the past year! I wonder if the video/song is about loving yourself. Honestly, I definitely see something here, like a relationship. I believe this is talking about two young ladies meeting each other through the Internet and wanting to meet each other in person. RL Girl feels upset and alone in the grey world she's in and wants to meet her partner. The monster is key to this, as I believe it represents the relationship, as it begins to kill off the monsters (or toxic people) that dislike 2D Girl's relationship with RL Girl. When both women are sitting in those rows of chairs away from one another, it could represent their distance from one another, as they're not happy with where they are in their relationship, as RL Girl looks hopelessly at 2D Girl. Then it focuses on 2D Girl when she's trapped within that jar of water, which I believe is her anxiety trapping her in thoughts of what might happen in the future with everyone she knows and her partner. However, she decides that it's time to come out of her shell and meet her love. (The monster opening up the jar and releasing her out to the world.) With this move in play, both ladies have their lives changing for the better, as they're together and surrounded by those who accept them for who they are (the other monsters changing into friendly critters and the world changing from a gloomy to beautiful world). Thus, they finally meet and are one happy couple.

A joyful song talking about the loneliness and self inflicted misery of people who are not looking for love.
Honestly, I definitely see something here, like a relationship.
I believe this is talking about two young ladies meeting each other through the Internet and wanting to meet each other in person. RL Girl feels upset and alone in the grey world she's in and wants to meet her partner. The monster is key to this, as I believe it represents the relationship, as it begins to kill off the monsters (or toxic people) that dislike 2D Girl's relationship with RL Girl. When both women are sitting in those rows of chairs away from one another, it could represent their distance from one another, as they're not happy with where they are in their relationship, as RL Girl looks hopelessly at 2D Girl. Then it focuses on 2D Girl when she's trapped within that jar of water, which I believe is her anxiety trapping her in thoughts of what might happen in the future with everyone she knows and her partner. However, she decides that it's time to come out of her shell and meet her love. (The monster opening up the jar and releasing her out to the world.) With this move in play, both ladies have their lives changing for the better, as they're together and surrounded by those who accept them for who they are (the other monsters changing into friendly critters and the world changing from a gloomy to beautiful world). Thus, they finally meet and are one happy couple.
