Been a raver for 18 years and S3RL reminds of my first ever exposure to Happy Hardcore been hooked since the first time I listened to him. I'm 35 and I still blast this from my speakers in my apartment before a rave everytime great mood starter!!!
There is a strange duality to S3RL music: if you are fine, then it keeps you up and moves you, but if you are in a bad mood it does completely the opposite to me, melody just becomes more and more sad over time, I almost cried a few times on a Rave Boy at some point. Luv both effects tho, somebody gets this shit or there is something wrong with my perception?
nothin wrong, like me though im pretty sure u just have some deeply repressed memories probably from ur first few years bein alive, and getting closer to what it was like back then is easier done for you by diving into ur emotions and deepening the extent to which you feel them e.g gettin really really really sad nd enjoying this, or super super happy and having fun with this, etc not tryin to get too personal here, but if u lost or disconnected with a Family member in ur first 5 years or earlier then it's not unlikely :) idk how old u are, and ist not too important, but if i may, in case ur not 27 yet, some friendly advice is to take life easy til then and not get into too mcuh heavy stuff whatever it may be- or make too drastic decisions. Once i hit 25 the next two years i was finally able to get used to being who n how i am- since the rate of Change of my developement slowed down to a more manageable pace (this has much less to do with the social construct Version of 'maturity' and much more just with how our Body/biology functions) you'll prolly benefit greatly from the manic tendencies once learned to use them to ur Advantage- if possible do so without meds :D wish ya all the best S3RL sure is great aye :)

Thanx for this man, I have been depressed for lack of Happy Hardcore. It sucks that they took off all the old Happy Hardcore Rave video's, I was using them to get my kids into Rave/Techno
The rave scene can be a crucible. A lot of troubled young adults find it. Some, like myself find their paths in it, legitimately being rescued by the accidental therapy of uplifting beats, a crowd of likeminded people and psychoactive substances that knock their brain wiring onto a far better less destructive path. Others end up becoming lost in the darkness that exists beneath the surface taking paths to addiction. It's a wonderful experience but be careful. Test your party favors. I'll always remember seeing Cotts and Ravine at the peak of the UK Hardcore boom, blasting plenty of S3RL. RIP DJ Starstruk.
